OtakuGurl sweatdrop Even tho I wasn't in my school's production of Little Shop, just thought I'd post what our plant looked like... it was awesome. this guy is Steve. He was the puppeteer for AudreyII I have plant envy! I especially like the giant lips. Ours was so heavy that we had to rig a pulley system to open and close it. The worst part was that there was a rigid metal bar right across the roof of the mouth, so it was kinda painful when it came crashing down on you.

Here's the full cast of what is easily the best play I've ever done, Roots in a Parched Ground (I'm on the back row, third from the left, with the curly hair): Here's the two leading ladies, the one of the left is a much better actress, but didn't get the lead for some reason: Here's me in the most complicated make up I've ever worn; a layer of base, then a layer of yellow, then purple around my eyes and cheeks to create a look of a sunken-in face, brown to do the age lines. Plus I had to put base and yellow on my neck and hands. (I played a father dying of alcohol sickness.): And here's where the audience starts crying, right after the little boy learns his father (me) is dead, and his mother has remarried and moved away. He can't come and has to stay in the care of a family friend and educate himself: Tragic, I know *sniff sniff*

That is a nice plant... eek Ours was a little bit smaller and was kinda falling apart. We borrowed a used one from a local theatre company to use and it was mostly made of foam, so most of its teeth were missing and we had to repaint some parts.XD Ah well, we didn't have to pay anything for it, just put a one page ad in our program. smile Our "plant people" weren't as cool either. We had these hats with petals on them that we also borrowed from the theatre company, but we decided in dress rehearsal that they looked way too fruity. So we ended up draping ourselves in vines and wearing green and grey shrouds to look like we were some type of ghosts. We also wore black and white make-up so we looked even more dead.... we had one rehearsal the day after Halloween and I left my dead make-up on to go to the store and I was getting all these looks that were like "Umm, you're a day late, lady". It all looked good though, compared to other high school performances I've seen. redface

A few of the register ladies wouldn't giv me any change...

A few of the register ladies wouldn't giv me any change... When I was in Charlotte's Web, I had church choir practice right after a full dress rehersal. I got some funny looks, considering I was Charlotte, and my face was covered in makeup! Some people said I looked like a KISS reject!

From our production of Best Little Whorehouse in Texas - these are the Wulla Jean Girls at the top of the show and the Bandleader. I'm the gal sitting on the floor (and my boyfriend is the bandleader... he looks like such a goober...) Other production photos from this summer's shows Just click on the bit of the windmill that says PICTURES. =)
