Blossom let out a muffled gasp in excitement. She had been fully prepared to have helios turn her down, as she expected, but he had accepted. That made all the difference in the world to her. "I...er...uh," she fumbled around until she found the right words. "Erm, I'm really happy you staying! And night walking isn't a problem. I just might follow along, too," she added with a sparkle in her eyes.

Helios smiled, glad to have made Blossom so obviously happy. "That's fine. It sounds nice to have a place to stay, or hide, if I needed to." He paused and wondered for an instant; why would he be so concerned about a hiding place? He wasn't running from anything that he knew of.....
Tossing it aside as a memory fragment, he nodded to her. "If you like. I just thought I'd inform you that I have a tendency to wander. I've always cherished my freedom. Not that I think it's hidering my freedom to stay with you; far from it; I just know there are some who would be irritated at someone who stayed put only half the time."

"Oh no, that'd be no problem," Blossom said. "I don't mind if you like to wander. I wouldn't want to restrict your freedom or anything," she added. "Well, I hope that's settled, then. Any idea on how to get out of here?" She gestured to the dream world they were now floating in. "It's not a bad world, but I'd like to get back to the real world soon. I'm getting hungry!"

Helios' smile was warm and he laughed at the mention of her getting hungry. "It must be interesting to feel hungry when you're sleeping; it's actually quite uncommon." He reached out and took her by the hand. "Tell you what.; let's leave together." He carefully pushed himself forward until they were moving upward, into the warm yellow light.
Helios felt the light shining brightly on his eyelids, and he blinked and yawned. Somewhere, sunlight was streaming in and shining on his face. He stretched and looked to see if Blossom had awakened yet.

Yawning, Blossom opened her eyes to her warm and familiar den. She looked around, puzzled, until she spotted Helios and everything that had happened flooded back to her. "Oh," she said simply. Then she remembered her hunger, and cheerfully walked up to Helios. "Ready to go eat something?"

Helios smiled and walked out into the warm sunshine. "I think so, but.....I don't know what there is to eat. That is......I'm unfamiliar with the food here. Will you show me what is safe to eat?" He seemed a bit embarassed as he said this, but he knew he spoke true; he didn't want to end up eating anything harmful, since he didn't seem to remember anything he had eaten in the past.

"Of course I'll show you! That's what friends do, right?" she said earnestly as she walked along a small stream. "Tell you what, I'm going to go find the biggest and juiciest berries ever!" She lightly bounded over some stepping stones and onto the other side, where the bushes were thicker and some were heavily laden with berries. "Try one of these," she told him as she plucked off a cluster of round, blue berries. "They're really sweet."

Helios took the berry and sniffed it curiously. He liked their color, and the shape was interesting. He shrugged and popped the berry in his mouth, savoring the flavour. He smiled and reached over to pluck more from the bush. "These are really nice. I just hope the bush doesn't mind."

Blossom laughed, a sweet tinkling sound. "Don't worry, the bush probably wouldn't mind. After all, it will reproduce and grow again, just like always." She plucked a couple and chewed on them slowly, letting the flavor run down her throat. "Come on, I'll show you some other food."

Helios finished the last of his berries and happily followed Blossom. He felt a bit of moisture on his face and absently snaked his tongue out and licked a bit of berry juice off of his face. Hoping that Blossom hadn't noticed, he kept pace with her and enjoyed the morning stroll.

As the sun rose in the sky, Blossom finally climbed a steep hill to stop at the base of an ancient tree rooted in the ground. "Here we are," she told Helios. "The best berries in the world." She motioned to a clump of bright red berries growing on the lower branches of the tree. "The ones higher up are more tasty, so I'll try to get some for you." She then shot up the tree, paws skimming against the rough bark.

Helios cocked his head at the berries. He liked the bright red color, but at Blossom's words, he looked higher up at the branches and the berries on them, as though expecting them to look different. He watched her climb, his brows slightly furrowed with concern. "Do be careful up there."

Blossom grinned at Helios, then stepped a bit higher. She reached out a paw and plucked a branch of especially large berries. She placed the stem carefully in her teeth, and moved to take a step down. The branch was brittle, and couldn't take her full weight. It snapped and she her footing slipped, leaving her dangling by her front paws.

Helios' eyes went wide as he saw Blossom dangling from the tree branch. He placed his front paws onto the trunk of the tree and stretched himself as high as he could. "Let go if you cannot hold on; I will try and break your fall!" He didn't seem worried that he might get hurt in the process; he only cared about seeing to it that Blossom not wind up escaping one danger only to fall into another, literally.

Blossom winced as she dangled precariously, but bit her lip and struggled to haul herself back up. It didn't work too well. She dropped the berries onto the ground, and called back to Helios. "I'll try to lower myself down a little!"
