"Yeah. I don't see any other option," Alaric said quietly, as if he were afraid to give out his plans to the enemy. He wondered where they could go in this terrain? He doubted the enemy would give pursuit if they did leave... They were more than likely just after the cargo.

"So, should we make a break for it?" he asked, more making sure to see that the other guy was ready. He was as ready as he possibly could be...

Dimitri lifted his arm off the guy and limped over too a truck that had been abandonded, He jumped into the back and crawled back out tucking something into his pocket. He limped over too rthe side of a vehicle, a man with a sniper rifle following him and taking a simlair position at another car.Dimitri poked his head back, a shot rang and the bullet slammed into the car beside him. Dimitri didn't even flinch He ducked back and made several motions too the sniper near him who nodded, DImitri popped out and fired a short bust, the sniper fired, lowered his rifle and gave a thumbs up, Dimitri returned it, then motioned for the other's too follow him.

"I think your friend wants us to follow him." Jason said to the man who had tried to help the wounded. Jason was about to follow when a bullet hit him in the meat of his calf. Grimaceing he simply locked his jaw turned around when he saw the shooter he fired a short burst of rapid shots into the man's chest basting the desert sand in a fine mist of blood. Making sure the girl was alright he ran towards the wounded man and crouched, letting the girl stand beside him while he kept his gun up waiting for the other man to get to them.

Jewlet ears twiched and looked over seeing someone had a plan going on. She slowly made her way closer as she made her way around boxs and dead bodies. A shot went over her head and she went to the ground. She saw who it was and went strait to firing at him.

She rolled to avoid having the body fall on her. "You guys are never getting it back." She hissed and kept on moving.

"They got rockets! They got ro-" a man screamed in a shrill tone, obviously scared to death. It was irony, then, that a trail of smoke ran directly next to him, causing the car he was using for cover to explode. The man wasn't present after.

Something was wrong with this. This attack was way too well coordinated... For raiders, at least. They were never this organized... Never this well-equipped. Something was up.

Alaric gripped his gun tighter. There was no cover anymore. Nowhere was safe. It was time. He stood, sprinting in the opposite direction of the gunfire. This battle was lost. The man he was helping obviously didn't want help, and anyone else who got wounded... Well, there wasn't much he could do for them. He was no doctor, and he sure as hell wasn't able to carry them through the whole desert.

He put the rifle on his back as he ran, pulling out a handgun. A nice, worn-down revolver, likely to fall apart after one round. He fired in the direction of the raiders as he ran, hoping to at least provide for some suppressive fire as he made his escape. Kicking up sand as he ran, he looked behind him. The heat didn't matter anymore. All that mattered was survival.

He would wait after reaching a certain distance, he decided. He wouldn't abandon anyone here. That is, assuming there were any survivors...

(Apologies for my absence.)

After the first shots were fired Alex dropped, revolver ready. He made his way to some cover and looked over the situation, as a feww rounds struck near him he instinctively fired in the direction they came from. He did not waste time seeing if they had hit anyone but immediately moved to a better viewpoint.
Alex dropped again as a beam of light burst from somewhere, after a moment he looked at the area, chaos. People shouting, shots being fired, orders given, this battle was already over, the enemy had organization, and precision, not to mention they seemed far better equipped than the caravan.
Alex decision was made immediately, he would not waste his life in a lost battle for some cargo that was worthless to him, he began crawling slowly away from the battle, retreating in a full out run would only make him a target. He glanced back one last time,

"Fools, they've no chance."

Jewlet laughed a little as she took hold of her bag and took off running. There was a fuss when the radiers spotted her. She waved at them and then blew them a kiss. Her trickery had gotten everyone around her into this even thought she didn't care.

She pulled out the item she had stollen a month back from that group and looked at it. A rare stone thats was no long seen in the world. She put it back in it's hiding place. One jumped out of hiding and then joined by another. Jewlet froze in place as she had to guns pointed at her.

The others seemed to be planning a retreat, and Connor had began crawling away from the battle when he noticed. A girl surrounded by enemies a bit far off. An image of Nicole before she was killed flashed before his eyes. He grit his teeth together, an angry growl rumbling up from his chest. Hell no.

Without a second thought, he began to fire at each of the men, aiming for their heads. [[I'm assuming this sniper rifle is semi-automatic.]] After he'd killed three of them, he quickly strapped the rifle to his back and took his handgun from it's holster. A wild flame seemed to dance about within his golden eyes as he broke into a sprint toward the girl, barely dodging bullets once they noticed her. He was hit once, centimeters away from where he got hit earlier in the shoulder.

Jewlet rased an eye brow as the men around her were picked off. "Well. You guys have bad luck." She ducked down and saw a man heading her way. Oh must be the one who helped me. She took out her guns and fired at the men who were firing at the guy heading her way.

She reloaded her guns with out taking her hands off of them. She took aim and fired at a man hiding behind a box. A smerk came across face. Their well planned.

Connor kept running as he neared Jewlet, only spinning on his heels and slowing his pace for a few moments to speak. "We gotta get out of here!" He continued to run backwards, firing at those that gave chase. Having assumed that she'd cover the front, he'd speak whilst covering the rear. "You alright?" His voice was husky and deep, though his throat was slightly strained from speaking over the sound of gunfire.

Jason saw the man leave in the other direction and knew if he didn't get the girl out of here she would be dead. He looked around and saw a man shoot at a circle of men who had apparently circled the young woman he had seen earlier. He noticed then that the man was wounded but didn't seem to care as he charged the remaining men. Jason then saw the woman begin to shoot at those who were shooting at the charging man. Jason muttered "Good luck." as he began to think of a way to get the little girl out of this hell, when he reliazed it was to late to head the way the man had fled earlier.

... They aren't catching up... thought Alaric as he finally stopped and turned. The battle was now just a speck on the horizon, and none seemed to be joining up with him. Was he to be the only survivor? No... Even if he was the only one to survive the battle, there would be no way for him to make it out of these surroundings on his own. He had no desert survival skills, nor the equipment to survive with.

So what now, he thought? Would he head back, risking his life for some survivors he knew nothing about? Or would he continue on, sentencing himself to death? The choices were no good either way, he knew...

But then he saw. Two... Three people? He couldn't tell, the heat blurred their figures. Alaric crouched down, feet sinking into the sand as he did so. He pulled the rifle from his back, wiping some sweat away from his brow before aiming at the figures.

If they were hostile, he'd be ready... He'd hoped they were friendly though. His only regret now was that he couldn't go back to help anyone else...

Jewlet looked back at Connor. "Ha. Everyone left alive would be spared. If you gave me to those radiers." She rolled her eyes and kept firing. "I'm fine." She said annoied. They just want me get it. She thought. "Get down!" She hissed as she saw group with a rocket. She got down low and close to Connor. Swinging her leg around she wanted to trip him just as the rocket was fire.

Connor had dropped to a prone position immediately as the words 'Get Down' reached his ears. Everything was so similar to that day. He winced, responding to her despite the images plaguing his mind. "I'm not giving anyone to them, regardless of whatever you did." Throwing a glance back toward the raiders, he snarled. Far off, he noticed an armed man and a little girl. A groan escaped him. "Go on ahead and get out of here." Connor stood to a crouch after he assumed that the enemy raider with the rockets would be re-loading, diving behind a nearby dune.

Pulling the sniper rifle from his back, he scanned the area first for the man with rockets. Once he got him in his sights, he aimed for his chest and fired. The raider fell. So much adrenaline was pumping through his body, Connor could not feel his wounds. As quickly as possible, he took out four raiders that would be blocking an exit for the man and little girl.

Alex, confident he was far enough from the battle to go unnoticed, stood and ran further from the battle. He slowed down a moment later, the battle was far behind him now and there was no point wasting energy. Alex had little experience in this environment but he could tell he would last long if he wasted any energy.

Alex lay in the sand a moment, thinking. If he went on his own his water and food supply might last long enough to get him to the next settlement, if he was lucky. However, if he were injured his chances of survival would be even lower then they already were, but traveling with others could be more dangerous than alone, if someone else ran out of supplies Alex had no doubt they would kill him for his.

Eventually it was his curiosity that gave that almost insignificant imbalance to his reason and caused him to begin searching for other survivors. He did not care who had attacked them or why, things like that were common, what he did want to know is why their attackers were so well equipped and organized. This was obviously well planned out beforehand, their opponents had been prepared for the terrain, their defenses, and had even known their exact route, which made the chance of this being a raid for supplies highly unlikely.

Alex observed the surroundings, trying to find some sign of another person. He noticed movement, as he looked he saw one, maybe two people running from the battle. Before starting towards them he checked to see if they were being pursued, shots were still being traded but it seemed the assailants were not giving chase. It seemed that complete elimination of the caravan was not in their agenda, Alex was thankful for that, he did not want to combine desert survival with avoiding hunters.

Alex cautiously began heading towards them, although he aimed for an area away from the battle in their path. He hoped it was more than one person, if there were more people then it would lower the risk of him being the only target for supplies.
