Syd watched, flinching as Calum fell. He watched as he crawled up to him, "I'm fine..." He murmered. He grinned, slowly starting to chuckle, before letting out a laugh so hearty that he looked too frail to possess.

Calum released a sigh of relief and blinked when Syd began to laugh. His ears flicked, sending droplets of water flying off them, pleased by the sound of Syd's laugh. Soon he joined in with Syd's laugh, laughing like he hadn't laughed in a very long time.

Syd sighed, his laugh slowly dispersing until he just sat there, grinning stupidly. He stared at Calum with his stupid little grin, and he chuckled lightly, "That was jolly." He said, patting Calum on the head and clambering up, wavering a little as he stood, as if he was tired from letting out such a laugh. He frowned, "Aw, my a** is all muddy."

Calum continued to sit, his grin still holding a tinge of playfulness. He stared up at Syd, his tail lazily swishing and covered in mud now. He didn't have to stand to know that his a** was covered in mud.
"Your a** looks fine, even covered in mud," he said on impulse. Surprised that he actually said that out loud, he blinked.

Syd's grinned tured into a lecherous one, "Ever make love in the mud?" He said, his tone a completely joking one. His tail swished around happily, "C'mon." He said, holding out an hand to Calum, "Lets go do something..."

Calum rolled his eyes, but continued to grin with good humor. He took Syd's hand and climbed to his feet, careful not to slip. He squeezed Syd's and asked, "Like what?"

Syd frowned, "What, you don't want to know what it's like?" He chuckled.
He looked into Calum's eyes, leaning in and kissing his cheek, "...I don't know..." He looked at the ground thoughtfully. "Hmm..."

Keeping Syd's hand in his, Calum's stroked his thumb over the back of Syd's hand. Hmms and seems to seriousely think about Syd's question. "I'd rather make love in a nice comfortable bed. Then I don't have to worry about mud getting in places where it shouldn't." Grins and nuzzles at Syd's cheek. "Plus in a bed, I could comfortably snuggle you afterwards."
He pulled back and looked around, wishing that they made little mini windshield wipers for glasses.

Syd sighed, feeling comforted by the other's touch, "Oh, but don't you want to feel like a cave man? A pure brute? It's manly to make love in the dirt!" He said, in a macho voice, "And if you want to snuggle I can drag you by the hair to my cave and we can snuggle there!" He laughed, before he thought for a moment. It was really coming down now, it was almost a downpour. He liked it, though. It reminded him of one of the only places he felt at home in. He thought back to when he was a boy, always sneaking out playing in the rain until he was soaked and shivering, then, a woman who took care of the kids in the orphanage would hurry him inside, forcing him to take a hot bath and scold him, saying he'd catch his death, it was just like the old movies. He looked over to Calum, finding him silly with his glasses with beaded drops. He smiled, laughing slightly and pulling the man to him, pulling him into a tight embrace.

"Not really, I like to think that I'm smarter than a caveman. I might be a bit spoiled, but I enjoy my every day comforts," said Calum as he returned the embrace. He rested his head on Syd's shoulder and closed his eyes. Relaxing as he took in the sound of the rain beating against the ground mixed with Syd's breathing. The sounds began to lull his mind into a state close to slumber so he opened his eyes again. He turned his head and kisses Syd's neck before snuggling into his warmth. "But with you, yeah I would make love in the mud and enjoy it. Prefer a bed, but still enjoy it."

Syd smiled gently, "I'm flattered..." He said, nuzzling Calum after his neck was kissed. He felt at peace now, he could feel Calum's heart beat next to his, he felt his breathing with his and he felt his warmth. He was content at just staying here, clinging to his lover happily. He kissed the top of Calum's head, "I love you..." He mumbled, somewhat shyly. "I must admit..," He took a breath, "You're the only one I've loved this much...all the others are nothing compared to you..."

Calum felt his cheeks flush at Syd's words and his heart felt like it did a flip of joy. Surprise and pleasure all mixed into one inside. Surprised that he could mean so much to one person, and pleased that he did. He kissed the side of Syd's neck again, then nuzzled it while letting out a purring growl. "If we're doing confession, then I must admit that you are the only person I've ever loved." He paused then added, "In a more than friends way."

Syd blinked, "Really..." He smiled, happy, but also a bit surprised. Everyother lover he had was expirienced and knew what they wanted from him. But he also felt a little guilty, if he was the first one he'd ever loved then that means he was the first for a lot of things, and Syd, frankly, wasn't that great of a person in his own opinion. Still, he held Calum close, not planning to let go anytime soon.

Calum nodded and reluctantly lifted his head off Syd's shoulder. If he left it there any longer he really would fall asleep on Syd. Rain had a nasty habit of making him sleepy at times. An effect that had been with him since he was young and he would fall asleep to the sound of the rain beating on the roof of the orphanage. Add in the comforting warmth coming off Syd's body and you had the perfect cocktail for lulling him to sleep. The only thing that was really keeping awake was well, the fact that he was soaked. "Want to go for a walk or something?"

Syd sighed, he'd be content to just stand here all night. He looked at Calum and nodded, "Sure..." He said, peeling himself away from the other and holding out his hand.
