I must say, I strongly disliked Stephanie Meyer's writing style, I nearly put down the book as soon as I picked it up. Already mentioned before, it is too simple and uninformative, even the poorest writer in my class can do just as well or better than that. As for Bella, I really do think that she is quite pathetic, she's so dependent on Edward, her whole life revolves around him, and how she nearly died when he decided to dump her. That sends a great message to all the teenage girls who read Twilight.

-i kind of read one.

-most of the first book, twilight.

-i started because it looked swell.

-i stopped reading because i had library books that needed to be read

and i owned the book, so library books came first. i guess i kind of forgot

about it then.

-yeah, it was okey.

-the characters seem a little too perfect.

-plot's good, but liek i said, a little too typical and perfect.

The idea of the series is good, not amazing or wonderful at all, but it's not horrible. However, Meyer's writing made it absolutely repulsive to me. There was hardly any detail and was unrealistic, like an elementary school child's writing. Why do you say otherwise?

It just makes me too angry to think when I think about how people actually like that book... and why they like it.

It's not derogetory, it's just constructive criticism- any good writer should be open minded enough to not just take peoples' thoughts about their writing and run with it, but to take it and fly with it.

[ughhh off topic! oh well...]
Would you mind editing some more of my works for me?
I really could use some advice that is more than "its good. keep writing." haha... :]

Sorry i haven't posted here in a while; I haven't been online in several weeks b/c of school.

People like twilight for different reasons. This seems to be a book where you either love it or hate it. The lovers should not dislike the haters for hating it. I personally don't see how people can like it because of the whole "poor writing, poor plot, no details" thing. The characters are so 2-d, and the rules of basic grammar are ignored. there is not even parallel structure, which is the most basic grammatic thing that will make a work better. The characters are too perfect and idealize teenage romance, without a hint of complexity.

Yes, if you post them or pm them to me. smile

So...what do you'll think about the movie? I liked the movie more than the book, just because a lot of movies have stupid plots anyway. The actors were good, except for the vampires, who were very fake. I don't really care for romance anyway, so...I guess the movie was okay.

I haven't seen the movie yet; however, my friend who disliked the book said that the movie "was so bad that it was funny".

I have never read the books, nor have I seen the movie. I wanted to read it at one point in my life, and I almost did. I forgot to borrow the book from my friend.

Anyways, I don't want to read it, and I don't want to see the movie. I heard so much about it, I just got sick of it, without any true interaction with it. Good job Twilight fans.

The movie itself was good, except for the special effects; its just that the plot the producer had to work with was terrible; the actors are okay, not the greatest, but good for the cardboard roles they had to act. The movie kept to the plot very well, more so than something like harry potter, but maybe just b/c harry potter is so long.

Personally, I refuse to read it or watch it ^^'

I question slightly on their quality in a sense of: how one author can put out three novels in less than a year?

I do not like vampires, werewolves, or love stories.

For those who adore it, I feel very happy for them; it is wonderful to take pleasure in anything! =D But I do not believe I would like it.

I intended to read it, but it became so popular, so I lost all intention of it.

wait, she wrote three in less than a year?? I never knew that. No wonder they're so badly written. I think it would be difficult to produce one novel a year that is of any good quality, let alone three.

I understand about not reading it because it became so popular and because so many girls have an obsess that just sickens me at the thought of how much they *love* edward. When a book or movie because as popular as Twilight has become, it loses all of the magic it possessed before the whole world knew of it. Even if every person in the world liked the book, the book would still hold a certain ethereal charm that nothing but a complete commercialized exploitation could remove.

Indeed!

It takes me a little less than a year to write a single lengthy chapter. =D Of cource, I spend most of the year working on school and such. If I did not have so much time divoted to other subjects, I could possibly write perhaps one-fourth od the book in a year. Maybe even one-third.

I remember Harry Potter was popular, but not so much that all of the magic was lost. I actually like HP, but when something becomes so wildly popular and fangirlish, nobody seems to care for it anymore, which is a shame.

Well, I'm sure it will eventually lose its vibe =D I have heard from a great many that the ending to the last book... did not go over well.

I know, it would take me FOREVER to finish a novel while in school, but she had "unlimited" free time. I still like harry potter. I mean, I am slightly outgrowing it, but the books will still hold that first love with me, and nothing will take that away, even age. I don't know, hp being popular didn't really ruin the charm for me, but I could see how it would for someone else. Oh well, twilight and hp are just fads in my opinion. Possibly good books if anyone stopped to analyze, or possibly not, but still fads. the hysteria will die down eventually.

I have to say, in my opinion, the Twilight series was the best book series I ever read. I am a huge Twilight fan. I saw the movie when it was in theaters and now I own the movie. I can't get enough of everything Twilight. And in my opinion the books was better than the movie but the movie was still awesome and worth a watch whether you liked the book or not, it is funny.

I have read all four books, Breaking Dawn twice, it was my favorite.

I initially read Twilight because a good friend of mine had taken it out and said it was about vampires so it intriged me. Though, truth be told, I almost didn't read it when I took it out of the library due to it's large size, but I decided I ought to give it a chance and started reading it and couldn't stop.

I kept reading it because I am a romance fanatic and the whole "Vegetarian Vampire" and "VampirexHuman" concepts were interesting to me. Also, because for some reason I just desperately wanted to know what happened next. I started reading the series right after Breaking Dawn came out though I didn't know that at the time. In fact when I started reading Twilight I had no idea it was a series.

I liked it becausein most books I can figure out, "oh this is going to happen next" and such but I some how never was able to figure that out with Twilight. Also because I love romance and the EdwardxBella thing was so sweet and different.

I love Meyer's writing style. I have also read, and loved, her book The Host. In my opinion Meyer is a great author.

The plot, hmm? Well in books and shows and movies I really barely notice if there is a plot or not. *reviews book in head* I've never been good with plots but if I am correct about the plot then it was good in my opinion because it had to do with romance. As stated already, I am a die-hard romantic.

I am very happy that you liked it! In taking delight in something most don't, you will find you have more happiness! I hope that happiness will follow you all the days of your life!
