DolphinizedTuna my laptop is from 2007 with upgraded ram and hard drive, as long as you have a dual core/x2/quad-core on your computer with 2 or more gigs of ram you'll be golden. I hear quad-core is a bad idea if you're thinking of recording?

DolphinizedTuna KamikazeSkies `Teh Doesn't have a line out for what? To use the effects on the laptop and send that to my amp? ... or for monitors. Uhm, it has one out for speakers or headphones but that's it, I don't think you would need too send it to your amp unless you played live.

Seeing as how I'll get so much sound out of my stock speakers. xDD

I hear quad-core is a bad idea if you're thinking of recording? I use my recording computer as my main computer also. I have two partitions that I can boot into each partition has two separate cores that they use, one partition being the strictly recording section and one being the general use section. I run a quad core processor with 32 gigs of ram on a windows xp x64bit. the excess RAM makes everything run smoother compared to the max 4 gigs x32 versions of OS's can use.

Oh, and I shall get recordings soon. I just need to find software that will work on Vista. Audacity sort-of does, but it shits out after a while. I'm trying to pirate some software.
