Nat smiled lightly leading her along until they were completely surrounded by trees and fireflies. "Teagan..." He stopped out of nowhere and faced her. "I...Have a proposition for you..." He furrowed his brow slightly. "I know I am leaving eventually. I have many more places i need to visit and see, but-" He sighed, not sure what he was trying to pull.
"Maybe what happened the other night was a mistake, or maybe its not. In either case, I know we both enjoyed it..very much..." He looked up into her eyes, swallowing slightly.
"We also know that this probably wont work out..." He found himself getting closer to her physically, placing one hand on her back. "But...does that mean...we can't have a little fun?" He gave her a soft, shy smile, hi lips parted as he brought her even closer. "Or at least..." His voice was soft and whispery. "Just...one... more...taste...?" He brought her in yet even closer, but hovered just near her lips, giving her a chance to reject him if she so chose, which he anticipated sadly.

Teagan had a moment of true, uncharacteristic, romantic stupidity. She believed that by kissing him, he would stay. Even though he said he couldn't stay forever, Teagan believed that somehow, in her hearts of hearts, she had the power to change him and turn that all around.
And so, when she did kiss him again, without the wine acting on both sides, Teagan felt like she had a true chance at the happiness she'd been searching for, even if there really was a set time limit for her to enjoy it.

Thank goodness they were surrounded by trees, because poor Nat almost fell over. But the two managed to use said tree to prop them selves up, Nat finding himself surprised and rather hungry for her taste again.
It was all sweet and shy at first, Nat blushing bright red as he held her waist carefully, but the kiss got a bit deeper, and again he only gave her a little taste, still giving her some control over the situation.

It was impossible to tell that this young woman was the same who had lost her temper so many times, who had been so aggressive and opinionated as she sweetly and carefully kissed him. The truth was that she adored feeling like someone needed her. Maybe need was a stretch for Nat, but Teagan would take the idea and stretch it as far as it would go just to feel like someone would stay around for her, and to feel like she was worth something. Worth kissing, worth holding, worth taking out.
It was really all she wanted.

Nat broke the kiss, only long enough to touch her face softly. "You're so beautiful..." He whispered breathlessly, his cheeks pink and eyes soft. But it couldn't last long, he had to bring her back in for another round of sweet k isses.

Beautiful.
A guy hadn't called her that in quite some time. It filled her up with butterflies and all the hopes she could hold as her quiet response was cut off with another kiss. But as time passed for a few more minutes, the lights of surrounding business began to dim and fade, leaving them in even more darkness than before. Teagan knew it was time to go home before things became too dark for a safe ride home, or if not a ride, a walk.
She broke the kiss. "We should get going... before it's too dark to see."

Nat reluctatly let her lips leave his to speak but he pressed his forehead to hers, eyes closed, breathing fast. "The moon... It can light our way..." He opened his eyes slightly to look at hers with a deep affection those eyes hadn't held in years it seemed. He touched her face with one hand again, smiling. "That is, if it isn't outshined by us walking among the fireflies and stars...." He wasn't sure if that made sense. It was a lyric that came to mind just then and he didn't care if it were corny or cliche.

It was a little corny, but Teagan didn't matter. She just saw those eyes, and knew everything said at dinner had indeed been an enormous lie.
Never before had she enjoyed knowing that she'd been lied to.
"Alright. As long as we get home somehow, I don't care what makes it safe..." Teagan wrapped her arms around him to slip into a real hug. She forgot the drugs, and the traveling, and knowing she wouldn't have him forever. There was no point in ruining her happiness.

"I'll protect you... I promise..." He whispered back, his nose brushing agaisnt her cheeks so softly as he held her back in this tight embrace. but soon enough, his lips found her's again, but he tried not to over do it, pulling backa little laughng slightly. "I'm...shaking..." He admitted embarasssed, his whole body trying not to tremble while holding her so close.

"Me, too..." Teagan laughed as well. If that didn't mean that they weren't meant in some way, she wasn't sure what did. Both nervous, both so starved for kisses. They at least went well together in the respect that they each wanted the other so close.
"Guess you just get to me like that, huh? Unless you're cold." Teagan went to touch his arm to see if that was the case, since nights did get pretty chilly on Druis.

Nat laughed. "N-no..I'm not cold..." His voice wa so soft, but not a whisper. Such an intimate tone he hadn't used in a long time either. But now he only wanted Teagan to hear it, that's why he brought her closer unconsciously. "What are we to do now? ...We're a mess..." he laughed lightly, closing his eyes as he just held her for a moment.

Another store light went of, and their surroundings got darker. The stars and fireflies seemed brighter because of it, though, and Teagan couldn't say she minded at all.
"Not a mess, just a little... discombobulated. I'm sure we'll be alright." This time, she went in for a kiss. Just one, before she broke into soft laughter again over their silliness. It was wonderful. But, questions surfaced in the slight calm that made Teagan start speaking as if she'd never have another chance to ask them again.
"So... you're alright? Everything between us is fine? This isn't business, right, Nat?"

Nat looked at her, eyes brimming with happiness. "No..its not business.... Dear God no ...." He shook his head looking to her. "I shouldn't be doingthis. I should keep it 'business', but with you I-..." He just shook his head. "I'm sorry..."

"Sorry for what?" Stupid question. Of course she knew. But Teagan was entering a stage in her life where she would begin to ignore and pretend in places where she shouldn't for the sake of a dream.
"If you're thinking that you're a useless b*****d again, Nat, I'll kiss the idea right out of your head. I will!" It was a poor threat for her to bring her lips dangerously close to his after they'd already spent so much time gently kissing away in the dark.

Nat smiled, chuckling a little as he rubbed his nose against hers. "So...if this isn't business...what is it?" He asked, pulling back to look her in the eye. He wanted to say it was real. But part of him was wondering why he was so attracted to her in this way. Was he just really that lonely? Was he rebounding from Raquel or was there substance here? He didn't know just yet, even though he thought he did...
