Dewpaw sat patiently, her feet still kicking the empty air, as she listened to Savith's send. She could sense how much it weighted on him, he hadn't masked that from her. Dewpaw thought about it for a moment. She knew about the tense, to put it nicely, relationship between the wolfriders adn the gliders. They weren't any kind of secret, every wolfrider knew to be careful. Dewpaw kept staring at Savith, not wanting to look away for fear she'd miss something. *The Way, remember. Waht you did before doesn't change what you do now or control what you do later. Plain and simple.* her send had traces of happiness and a sense of moving on. True, she felt some anger at his confession, an emotion she knew leaked slightly into her send. She knew of wolfriders hurt by the Gliders, many her tribefolk, but she couldn't hold that against him. That was before, and she was sure he wouldn't do it again, sure he was different from whatever he was before she knew him. *You're strong, you can fly... and you've helped already.* Dewpaw stated after a moment, *You helped me*

Savith knew that most wolfriders knew collectively of what the gliders had done at their first meeting. His frown goes much deeper than that, to something far more personal. **Yes,** he sent softly. **I helped you,** he began, but retracted his mind and emotions before more could leak free. He sat for a moment, considering it, before trying to find a way to continue. **What I did, then, still comes to mind by things that happen around me. That you are not as tall or not as thin keeps me from reacting exactly as I once did.**

Dewpaw leaned on him again, this time trying to find a way to offer him comfort. he seemed less accepting of comfort than the others she had met, but she was determined. **Then its a good thing I'm not as tall or thin** she sent back, again a bit of happiness and a sense of moving on present in her send. **Besides* she sent, jumping down from the trunk, **You aren't the same Savith. You like me too much to hurt me.** She grinned back at him. She grabbed his hand and tugged at him **Come on, I'll show you the forest like a wolfrider sees it!** She wanted to show him that he didn't have to be afraid of hurting anyone, that she trusted him. She barely resisted calling him 'father' or 'Savvy' again.

Savith hissed slightly as the sudden jerk forward pulled him to his feet before his mind could grasp a hold of his body and take the weight off his feet. He'd accepting being leaned upon, he even pressed his lips toward in an attempt at a grin, but as he gets pulled from his perch, drifting along behind Dewpaw, he frowns, and almost fails to keep out the urge to yank himself away, snarl at the filthy dog-blooded elf, and fly into a tree top. As it was, the hesitation was felt as a slight resistance in the balloon that was floating Savith.

Dewpaw tugged Savith along, not caring if he was going to decide to have another brooding fit. She was determined, and nothing was more stubborn than a determined cub. **You worry about hurting things because of what you did once, right? Well, think of this, when a tree falls, it helps feed new plants, allowing them to grow. When a wolf kills another wolf in a fight, the surviver does not stop fighting. He understands that it happened and does not mean it'll happen again.** Her send sounds the same as when she had heard it from her mother. A similiar talk when her mother had pointed out the way of the forest. With her send, she sent images of teh night forest as she saw them, as light as day, almost. She knew that other elves could not see so well, so she wanted him to see what she saw, the trees and the nightlife, in plain sight.

Savith was not used to this mental sharing of sight, and the over laying of vision from a view point not his own disturbed him. The resistance on Dewpaw's grasp increased as Savith's mind had trouble understanding what it was receiving. Her words were, for the moment, lost.

Dewpaw released her grip on Savith's wrist when he struggled, worried that she ahd hurt him somehow. 'Did I do a blacksend?' she thought before quickly telling herself that that was impossible. She turned to face Savith, but said nothing, only stared to see if he was okay or not.

"No," Savith replied, straightening himself up finally and blinking a few times to 'clear' his vision. He had a slight bewildered look upon his face that he probably would never had allowed to be there had there been more light. "You didn't. I was merely.... disoriented for a moment." There's something to the way he half rolled eyes his in thought during the pause...

"Oh" Dewpaw muttered, not quite sure what to do next. She was right, she hadn't hurt him, but she didn't know why he was so disoriented. She and the other wolfrider cubs had been used to sharing images, making into a sort of hide-and-seek game. Use an image to find the others. It was fun, but she hadn't realized that maybe Savith wouldn't be used to it. "Sorry," she mumbled, slightly louder.

Such sharing was common between elf and bond, no doubt. "There is little need for apology," he stated, now refocused and looking at where he thought Dewpaw was. "Do lead on, but a bit more slowly, if you would, please?"

"Okay" Dewpaw grinned, this time sliding her hand into his lightly, after all, she didnt' want him hitting a tree. 'What would you like to see, as I see? There are some flowers that only bloom at night. They're beautiful. Or some animal dens. I found a few..." she was glad to know he wasn't mad adn he hadn't switched into his borrding mode.

Savith listened to her voice, a slightly pained frown gracing his face, even as he said in an even tone, "Whichever you like to show me, cubling." His eyes unfocused slightly, clearly remembering a different time and a different place. Then he focused his mind back to the present, the frown pressing into a thin line. "Dewpaw," he stated, the sound of her name more like one correcting oneself of an error.

"Oh, the flowers. They're this pretty blue with violet on the edges of teh petals and..." she stopped for a moment when he said her name after already calling her cubling. taking it as him getting her attention she glanced up at him "Yes?" waiting for him to say what he wanted.

Dewpaw shrugged and turned back down the barely noticable deerpath, "They aren't far," she said, shwoing Savith teh direction with a quick send and the tug of his hand. "I saw them near the path we were on before, when I came back. Dancer ran off ahead cuase we were racing. She cheated though and got on her cat. It was unfair. But I saw them and looked for a moment. They're this way!" She was excited again, feeling at home in teh forest at night and happy not to be alone, even though it was what she had originally wanted.
