Darn. Figures. Well, the french dude (I think his name was Gerard, or something) was leading by about 3/4 his body length. The announcers were saying how impossible it would be for the Americans to win. But in the last few moments, with a burst of energy, Lezak (American) caught up with Gerard. At the last second, Lezak lunged and touched the wall 8/100 of a second before the Frenchman. It was the best relay I've ever seen. As if that wasn't enough, the Americans shattered the world record by 4 seconds. (Last I heard, Lezak was/is his own coach, too!)
In case you haven't noticed I'm a HUGE Olympics fan. This is my second time actually watching the events.
The trap shooting was intense too.
