Juu squeaked, a rather strange sound to come from a lion. The grumpy lady? Now he hoped she wasn't always grumpy. Everyone had their nice days, right? He looked at the three adults, then the dirt beneath his paws. Did someone HAVE to watch him?
He already knew the answer. If no one watched him...how would he learn what his mother couldn't teach him?

If it wasn't for the presence of the cub she would have snarled properly at Dohani and given Mwindaji a piece of her mind on the matters of respecting one's elders, amongst other things. She let that anger flash through her eyes as she looked up to her friend before nodding once. "Very well."
She then stepped back, looking down to the. "My name is Zengea Umbra'nyatia. That is a lot to remember so you may call me Nya for now. The first thing I want you to do is forget everything that Mwindaji has told you about me." Her eyes then lifted to Dohani. "You and I will talk later."
That said she turned, obviously expecting the cub to come trotting along after her just like that.
She took a step back with a bit of uncertainty as she glanced between the two. "I... Should get back to my patrols." She nodded before glancing down at the little one once more with a smile. "Be good."

He smirked slightly. He knew she'd have a few words for him later but it was the only reasonable course of action he could take. The cub needed someone to care for him.
Looking down at said cub he nudge it after Nya. "I would suggest doing what she says and following her."

Juu eeped and nodded, then quickly followed after Nya. He would be good! And even if Nya was grumpy a lot, he'd take it all in stride. After all...it was lots better than being alone. And he was determined to make himself useful to the pride one day, and that would start by being good and learning from the dark lioness.
"Thank you for watching me, Nya!" He would try using titles later...after he learned all of them.

"There's no need to thank me, little one." She managed a smile as she glanced down to him, trying not to seem nearly as intimidating as Mwindaji must have made her out to be. "One thing that you should always remember about our pride is that no lion or lioness is above any other. We work together to do as we must so that we may continue as we have been doing."
She spoke those words as if she had repeated them many times before, which she had. It was something that was imprinted on all of their lives from the moment they were old enough to understand it and, in some cases, before they even knew what it meant to uphold... And yet in the back of her mind there was a bitterness about it that did not make it into her words; the bitterness that had caused her to let Dohani know that she would be having words with him later.
