Born in America, learned Vietnamese first.
My parents taught me it first. When my sister was in Kindergarten, she had to go to ESL because she couldn't get the hang of English [she knew too much Vietnamese xD]. I caught on English fine, and my sister eventually did. I now regret not studying Vietnamese, because I don't understand and speak it much.

I learned English first, then Vietnamese. I began learning Vietnamese when I was in 8th grade, and 14 years old.

My mom wanted me to learn Vietnamese at a younger age, but I remember I would always go, "NO!" because I hated learning, and I didn't want to have to learn something else.
