"But he's a man, he should be helping me around this house." Olivia commented, "If you'd like to help me can you get the kettle from the sink and bring it over here? I'll fill the tea-bags awhile."
Olivia smiled, enjoying herself in Samuel's company. She wondered why she didn't talk to the other Scent's parents more often.

Well, most of them weren't Samuel!
"He's just a boy yet, in this day and age," Samuel chuckled, retrieving the pot and holding it gingerly in his hands. He brought it to Olivia and just placed it gently on the counter.

Olivia quickly filled the tea bags, making sure that none of the tea leaves fell out, and none of the spices she added seeped through. She cautiously grabbed a small vial from the cabinent and poured a tiny dot of some sort of liquid on her finger and runned it along the edges of the tea-bag to keep it closed. She did this to all the tea-bags she prepared, which was six in total.
Olivia often found herself drinking more tea than most people did, so she tended to make extra bags just for herself. However, considering she had company and did not know how much tea Samuel himself would drink she upped the amount of extra tea bags she would make.
When Samuel came over to her and placed the tea pot on the coutner she smiled, picking the pot up carefully and putting it on the stove to boil. She winced abit as her finger tips became red and irritated, and quickly went over to the sink to wash her hands and put some ointment on them.
"Sorry about that." She murmured, quietly, abit embarrised as she felt she may have made Samuel worry about her and her sudden move to the counter. "The liquid I use to glue down the edges of the tea-bags make my hands red and swollan if I don't wash ti off right away."

Samuel watched the process curiously, but was indeed a little frightened by the sudden change in Olivia's fingertips. Upon her explanation, though, he nodded.
"It sounds like it may be an allergic reaction," he offered, "Why not find something that doesn't burn? Granted, I'm not sure what that may be. I tend to use tea leaves."

"I don't know of any concoction that could possibly seal the bag shut without ruining the tea when you soak the bags in the water." Olivia said, contemplating abit, "The rock sugar-honey mixture is the only one I know of. It only affects me in this form. Once it fully dissolves into everything else I'm ok. I think it's the concentration of the two I'm allrgic two instead of either one seperatley."
Olivia smiled, drying her hands on a nearby towel, "This is the only way I can think of making tea where the guest can add whatever he or she may like as they please. I do this because Ment likes his chai tea with lots of peppermint and cranberry juice in it, but I like neither in my tea."

Samuel smiled. "I tend to be a tea purist myself. I don't add much of anything except for cream, when I'm in a hurry." He gave a little sigh and touched Olivia's shoulder.
"You know, Olivia, I--"
"DADDY LOOK!"
A possibly tender moment was destroyed by Polly running into the room, dressed in a too-big blouse and a short skirt. Oh my...
"You look dashing," Samuel said with a smile.

Olivia looked over to Samuel as he spoke, a bit of a cluelessness in her gaze towards what e was attempting to say, and as she was about to utter her quiet 'Yes?' Pollux came barreling into the room looking like....
Well Olivia wasn't sure what he looked like but she knew it was feminine, "That's lovely, Polly. Though I think you have a ways to go before you fit into that blouse properly."
She gave a chuckle and looked around, "Where's Ment?"

"I left him in the room. I'll go get him," and poof! Polly was gone again, off to drag his older friend to show off. He was adorable when he was excited, really. Well...more so than usual.
Samuel just sighed, clearing his throat.
"Anyway, as I was about to say, I find you to be a very interesting woman, Olivia." Hrm...that was an ambiguous statement...just ambiguous enough for her to take it as she liked!

Olivia chuckled as Polly rushed to bring down her son, Ment. The two were so cute together, it made her wonder if they would be friends like that forever, or if they'd grow apart one day. The thought of the two growing apart seemed wrong to her, so she quickly dismissed it, turning to Samuel as he cleared his throat.
She gave him a bit of a stunned look before a slight blush overcame her face, and she seemed at a loss for words.
"Uhmm....Interesting?" She commented, giving a nervous laugh. It was slightly awkward to be called interesting, as she always percieved herself to be rather dull. "T-Thank you, Samuel. You're rather interesting yourself."
Meanwhile, as Polly came up the stairs to get Ment, he grabbed him quickly at the top, and gave him the 'Shhhhhhh' motion. Peaking his head back down over the wooden railing of the staircase as if trying to listen in on something. That something namely being Olivia and Samuel.

Polly skidded a bit when he was tugged, but quickly caught on. Yay, eavesdropping! He knew what this was!
"Oh, I know," Samuel said with a little chuckle, looking toward his feet. He was far from the norm, and he was reminded almost daily, "What I mean to say is....ah..." And now he paused to grasp Olivia's hands gently in his own. It wasn't an overly-affectionate gesture, but it certainly wasn't platonic either.
"I would very much like if we could perhaps spend a day on the town together some time soon? They boys enjoy each other's company, I'm sure they wouldn't mind."
Polly grinned. Yay! Dates!

Olivia blushed even harder when Samuel took her hand. The blood pumped so fiercely through her veins she could her it in her ears. Her nervousness could match his. Was he going to ask her out? Or was she reading too much into things and acting like a foolish schoolgirl for nothing?
Olivia eyes widened slightly as he asked her to spend a day with him, and she quickly looked down at her feet as he did, but moreso out of disbelief. No one had really ever taken an interest in her, and though she had other things to focus on, like the dissapearance of Adrian, she could not let this chance pass her by.
"Sure." She replied, smilling up at him, "I would like that."

"Good, good," Samuel smiled, caressing the back of Olivia's hands with his thumbs before releasing him. There was a telltale giggle from upstairs and the man looked to see Polly peeking down at them. Samuel just smiled.
"Eavesdropping, hm?"

Olivia smiled a littlw wider, until she heard the giggle from upstairs and turned bright red as Samuel said 'Eavesdropping, hm?'.
Ment peeked his head down and smiled innocently, "Aww. How'd you guess?"

"Your little friend," Samuel chuckled. He turned to Olivia once more and handed her a business card.
"Call me when ever you have some free time," he said softly, and then nodded for Polly, "Come on, you. Your grandfather wants to meet us for lunch."
"Yay!"
