I also really like Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series. Of course, the Harry Potters are classic. I think I'll just stop there, before I really get into listing everyone I adore.

As for manga, Fruits Basket and Skip Beat are actually tied for first, at this point. I never thought that anything would ever challenge Furuba, but apparently I was proven wrong.
