Chapter 2
“What do you mean? Why can’t I go?” A young girl exclaimed. She brushed some long black strands of hair away from her face.
“Sora you just turned 13, you’re not ready yet.” The man the girl was talking to said.
“Yes I am, the longer I wait the stronger the vampire that killed my family gets!”
“Sora revenge—“ the man said.
“Zack, Sir, Kaze is here.”
“Thank you.” Zack said looking back at Sora. “Sora revenge is never the answer to everything.”
“ARGH!” Sora turned and stomped toward the door as it opened again.
“Hello Sora.” Kaze said with a smile.
Sora said nothing and continued past him without even a glance at him.
Kaze watched her leave, and then turned toward Zack closing the door behind him.
“Sure is a firecracker isn’t she?”
“That she is. What’s going on?”

“I can’t believe I finally get to go out with Aura and Alex and all I get to do is spy.” Ash pouted. “This stinks!” Ash said as she peeked around the corner of a house.
“Ash shush.”
Ash jumped back placing her back agents the wall of the house. “Sis don’t do that!” Ash whispered harshly.
“Sorry, I have to keep an eye on you though… you wouldn’t believe the trouble I had getting through.” Aura thought back to Ash. “The humans must have a—“
Ash cut Aura off. “Hold on I hear something.” Ash noticed the voices were coming from a window near her. She moved closer.
“—You can’t just run off.”
“Watch me Taiga, I have to find the monster that killed my parents.”
“Come on Sora we’ve been through this before—“
Ash had peeked over the windowsill and was watching the two girls; the one with long black hair was walking back and forth placing things in a bag. The other was sitting on the bed she had short hair of the same color.
“Taiga, I’m tired of waiting and training, I’ve got to get out there and find the vampire scum that—“
Ash didn’t here the rest of Sora’s sentence. “We are not scum!” Ashs’ eyes started to glow a red color and the wind started to rip harshly through the air.
“ASH STOP!” Came Auras voice echoing in Ashs’ head. The wind calmed down and Ashs’ eyes returned to normal. “Sorry Aura I—“ Ash slumped under the windowsill as it was closed.
“Never mind just be careful.”
Ash sighed. ~If I see her again she’s mine.” Ash thought.
“That sounds fine.”
Ash smiled and continued on her way to the main house, hoping to find something on that day 8 years ago, the day Aura hates to remember.

“See ya Taiga.” Sora said running out of the house and down the street to the outskirts of the village. ~I need weapons first.~
She then began sneaking her way back to the center of the village to the weapons hut.
“I’ve been trained on the sword so I’ll just barrow one.” Sora smiled. “One of them belongs to me anyway.”
“There you are.” Sora reached for a sword sitting on hooks on the far wall. It was an elegantly decorated with a flower pattern. As Sora touched the sword she received a small shock.
“Ouch… what was—“ Sora pulled out a small pendent that was hidden under her shirt. “I forgot about you.” She took off the pendent and placed it on the table next to a few daggers. Then reached for the sword once more. This time upon touching the sword she was able to touch it. Sora smiled quickly grabbed the sword sheath and all and tied it onto her back, grabbed her bag and left.

“Alright there’s no one around.” Ash said looking through the window. Ash tried to open the window and found it opened easily. “The windows unlocked.” Ash proceeded to crawl in the room through the window.
“Ash don’t go in I’m—“
“To late I’m in.”
“Ashie.” Aura said exasperated alto Ash new she was smiling.
Ash looked around. “Bingo! File cabinets.” Ash walked over to them. “There’s a lot here.”
“Be careful and keep your senses open.”
“Will do” Ash said opening a drawer and pulled out a file.
“Lets see this was from last year.” She put it back and closed the drawer and opened another and pulled out a file. “3 years ago.” She put that one back, closed the drawer, and proceeded to another cabinet.
Looking through the many drawers she found a drawer with folders that were from 8 years ago.
“Fond them…there’s a lot here.”
“Ash just come back you’ve—“
“I’m fine Aura, I’m going to find that file…who knew the human’s were so organized.” Ash said going through the files.
“Wait! Aura I think I—“ Ash stopped.
“It’s in the 3rd drawer down Kaze.”
Ash heard, she knew the voices were close and that she had less then a minute to cross over to the other side of the room and climb out the window…not enough time. So grabbing the file she just found closed the cabinet drawer and seemed to vanish.

“I’ll show them.” Sora said walking through a forested area. “I can be just as tough as anyone else.” Sora took her anger out on a rock and kicked it into some bushes.
“Ouch…” A voice said from the bushes.
“Who’s there?” Sora said grabbing her sword and pulling it out holding it in front of her.
Someone crawled out of the bushes.
“Did you have to kick a rock?” He asked.
Sora sighed and lowered her sword.
“Chou what are you doing here?” She asked exasperated.
“What do you think, keeping an eye on you so you don’t do something stupid.” Chou answered rubbing his head.
“Taiga told you huh?” Sora said putting her sword back into its sheath.
“Taiga told me nothing, I saw you going into the weaponry.” Chou said. “So obviously this is the only way out of the village so I waited here… hey wait!” Chou ran to catch up with Sora who had started to walk away.
“I don’t need to be kept an eye on.”
“Zack and Kaze won’t be very happy—“ Chou was cut off.
“Shh, do you here that?”
Chou listened for a minute.
“I don’t hear anything.”
“It’s coming from this way I think.” Sora said, running to the left into the forested area next to the pathway.
“Sora!” Chou whispered fallowing her.

Kaze was going through a cabinet drawer taking his time as Ash stud still in a corner not far away. Ash wasn’t used to standing still for this long and Auras frantic voice pounding in her head was definitely not helping.
Kaze seemed to finally find what he was looking for.
Ash watched and waited for him to leave.
“Your new little one are you not.” Kaze walked up to her with a smirk on his face. Upon reaching her he placed a finger directly under her chin, and lifted her head. “You should learn to disappear first before you try to spy.”
Ash’s eyes widened. “I am invisible right?” She practically whispered.
