Over here its 18, though round the town I live in it would seem to be closer to 14. (Its not a very nice place)

Hm. I see. If everyone were the proper age, I'd suggest we do one of the Steampunk meets at an old style English pub. =]

I'm gainfully unemployed, but a weekend would still be best.

@Gaimanfan: You raise a good point. At 22 I'm good for anything, is everyone else alright should tea turn into a pub meet?

If in advance we find a family pub then there should be no problem with anyone under 18 being there (As long as they don't drink!)
I'm sure we can find somewhere that has an old world atmosphere and will welcome the underage amongst us.

What's a good date for everyone to get out? This coming weekend is taken up for me, but I'm free for the next!

Confound me (or at least my poor transport situation), for I am pretty much limited to the Midlands area.

I don't even live in England so you'll all have to get wasted without me. ;___;

In fact, I've never been drunk. I've always been the designated driver! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

@Loki: then a six pack oughta do the trick ninja

Isinglass and I are able to meet on the 22nd at around 10:30 does that work for anyone else? And Captain, would trains work?

And Captain, would trains work?

Alas not, they're a wee bit costly with my budget at the moment.

surprised I actually have the 22nd off work and turn 18 like days before. But still don't have a totally legal I.D yet as my driving license is kinda lost in my car >.< Not that I can drive the thing, stupid other person hitting my car on my test making me swear allot. Who knew each swear word was a minor.

Someone hit you on your test? Damn, that's bad luck. Would you be able to mak it to Bristol, though?

Yeah, my first ever accident, on the day of my test. I just have the BEST luck. And that is a possibility. Only a couple of hours away I think :S

~ The Event ~

After discussion with a fellow Steampunker in Nottingham, we have come to the following arrangement.

The Date: Sun 31st August
The Time: 11 - 5 (ish)
The Place: Papplewick Pumping Station
The What: Steampunk picnic-meet-thingy.
The Cost: a meagre 3 pounds sterling.

Can anyone come?

You gotta be kidding, I live just down the road from there, its pretty cool. Did the meet go ahead or what?

If your looking for old pubs to have a meet in Nottingham has a good share of them too. Some very good ones.

Aye, it did go ahead, but I couldn't attend. Hey-ho.

If anyone would care to join us let us know, the more the merrier!
