User ImageThe days had been long, a bit lonely, but better now that he was spending more and more time with Noke. Though they'd had a pretty odd run in with a few two-leggers, resulting in Kam's leg getting a bit hurt. He was doing better now, and Monenoke had nursed his wound. He'd met a few strangers, and had hope of running into them again.

Right now he was just going on a long, slow walk. His steps were careful, graceful and quiet. His black ears were perked on top of his head, dull golden eyes shining as they surveyed the area. He scented the air every now and then, trying to see if others were about.

His thoughts slowly wandered to his second pack, the one he wasn't sure he was part of or not anymore. He sighed a bit, frowning. He missed the members, but not the pack it's self. He felt rather guilty, seeing as that pack had done a lot for him.

Rp of kam x sen (done over aim)

Kamali sighed, laying on a large bolder situated at the edge of a deserted feild. It was small, and surrounding it were trees of the woods. Kamali liked the openness it offered though, the peace. The calm, thats what it seemed to give off, anyways. His dull golden gaze was foccused on the sky above, wishing there was something to stare at besides a big expanse of blue. It was almsot scary, seeing nothing but the blue of the sky for miles and miles all above him.

He wondered when it would be cloudy again, he liked looking at cloud shapes. It was an activety he found most restful.

Sen wandered. Usually he preferred to wander with another, but you make due with what you have. He caught glimpse of the green loner before he caught his scent, first mistaking him for an unthinkably large mass of mold growing at the top of the rock-- whoops... biggrin

"... Hey," He greeted plainly with an almost smokey high tenor, emerging from the treeline in front of the wolf. His miscolored eyes stared up at Kamali, one calm, cool silver, the other blood-lust red.

Kamali gave a small start, head jerking away from the sight of the sky, ears going back, dull golden gaze finally regestering a wolf in front of him. His head tilted slightly, gaze lingering on the mismatched eyes. Things like that always interested Kamali, they were strange.

He shifted on the rock a little, thinking of getting off of it for equal fotting.. but strangely enough it was comfortable. "Hello." He finaly spoke, offering a small smile. He glanced around, almost as if expecting to see someone with sen.

Sky-watching? Ppffft. When was the last time Sen got to do that? It had to be a while. He'd maybe end up joining this wolf in doing so by the end of their encounter.

"I'm here by myself." Sen provided, sitting on his haunches then flopping onto his stomach, holding his head up. He noted Kamali's markings for memory's sake, who knew when he'd want to refer back to the male? "Sen. You are?"

He seemed rather expectant, considering he showed himself from, seemingly, no where and intruded on another's moment. He didn't really seem to care, though, either. He was feeling one of his rare passive moods, but that meant he'd be pretty blunt, straight forward, and brash in general. He stared at Kamali, who cared if it was rude? Kamali looked interesting, like he had a story to tell, this should be a good way to pass the time.

Kamali gave a small smirk, ears slowly perking on his head. "Alone, I see." He murmered feeling as though he might have looked a bit foolish looking around. He didn't find the other rude, Kamali has some strange ideas of what was rude and what wasn't, but it didn't really matter.

His tail flicked, curling around him as he watched the other, head tilting a little. "Sen?" He repeated, for his own sake. Though it was short Kamali liked it. "Kamali is my own name, though I've found wolves like to shorten it to Kam." He shrugged as if it wasn't really important. "Are you in a pack.. or are you just a wanderer?" If Sen could ask questions with out feeling rude kam felt he should be able to as well.

~Kamali,~

Sen snorted at the question and allowed a bit of a dry, crooked grin.

Kam, Ali, Kami, Ilamak... All names that Sen would probably use at some point in time. He was the type that liked to assign names to others as well. Generally anything he did was for his own, or his brother's amusement or benefit, so it wasn't like he purposely went out of his way to trouble others unless he wanted to for himself.

"Hardly. The last 'pack' I was in was nothing but one headache after another. No, I'm afraid I don't do packs."

This was a half lie. By all rights he was still under Nagah's tyranny, he and his brother alike, but he wouldn't tell this Kamali-fellow that. They intended never to return anyway, so why should he claim them as his pack?

"I travel alone." Also a half lie, he HAD traveled alone for a few weeks, but now he was reunited with his brother again. "What about you? Do you follow any of the hidden packs along this area?"

"I was recently just part of a pack." He murmered, either not seeing realizing Sen was half lying, or paying it no mind. The later seemed a bit far-fetched, because how could kam know he wasn't telling the truth? "But it sort of fell a part. I decided it was best to maybe travel on my own for a while, I've been in two packs, once when I was just born and one more after that, for my whole life."

He gave a small grin, amused obviously. "But I do not travel alone, not all of the time." He mumbled, head tilting.

Sen's expression seemed somber, or bored, and in his own way he was partly so. Resting his head on his paws, he allowed himself to listen all the same. He'd heard of packs falling apart before, he'd seen them do so, he'd been partly responsible for them doing so. It always came down on the alphas and betas ability to lead, or lack there of. Only once had he ever seen a pack whose bond was so strong that even Nagah and their group was not able to drive them apart. That was the reason they attacked the last pack with such ferocity, it was Nagah's way of venting the outrage he felt that someone didn't bow to his power. It was incredibly bloody, and for a moment Sen's gray eye seemed to glaze over before coming back into focus. His red eye was a little harder to read due to it's dark hue.

"Fell apart? What kind of alphas did it have?"

His eyes narrowed and he gave a small growl, Kamali did not think it was the alphas fault at all. Though his opinions could be a little biased. "Haku and Lera are wonderful alphas, it just seemed a lot of the members were hit with itchy-paw." He muttered, feeling guilt creep over him, seeing as he'd been one of those members.

Little did he know that the pack was getting back together.

Sen felt a chill run down his spine, a quiver of enjoyment at hearing the prickling defense in the other's tone. He'd merely been asking out of curiosity, despite his entirely pessimistic opinions. That Kamali had taken the implied suggestion just amused Sen.

"Hmmm, is that so?" He sounded unconvinced, looking off to the side. "A lot, you say? It seems to me that if so many caught it at the same time, they must not have been that happy to be there. I don't suppose that they all got the 'urge' all at once?"

He hid a smirk, but not by any effort, merely from anticipating Kamali's answer so much that his amusement didn't really show yet.

Kamali frowned a little, ears flattening to his skull, lids lowering a little. Little did the minty male know that he was being toyed with. His tail flicked a little, and he took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. It wasn't all that often that Kamali got mad. "I don't know the whole story. I was.. one of the first to leave." He muttered, feeling crappy to admit that.

Besides, it was an excuse to change the subject. "What brought you around these parts?" Yes, a lame subject change.

Sen shrugged, a bit of a roll of his shoulders and a flopping to his side to resettle his weight. He had to agree, the subject change was obvious, but he didn't care to pursue that topic anyhow. It would just annoy Kamali and it was too soon for that level of irritation. He played along for now. "I was looking for someone." He answered bluntly, and he'd leave it at that unless he was asked. "Why'd you come here? Is that pack close to here, or were you just wandering? If you were one of the first then there must be some reason you left, whatever it is."

"I left to find family members." He murmered, and he thought that was a rather good reason anyways. He had found them... but managed to lose them again. He sighed a little, to himself. "And no, this isn't near where the pack was settled. I just stumbled upon the spot and decided I liked it." He wondered who Sen was looking for, but wasn't sure how nosey it'd be to ask.

He'd managed to get Kamali feeling really defensive.

Sadly, that was just the kind of wolf that Sen was. It took a small bit of effort for him to be kind, or at least to pretend to be kind. Verbally he barged on ahead as though there was no room for lapse in the conversation.

"Did you find them?"

Kamali nodded slowly. "Yes." He murmered, not willing to tell him he'd lost them just as quickly. This wolf was managing to make him feel pathetic with out even trying. Kamali moved a bit, sitting up on his rock, gaze flickering back to the sky.

"Good." He grumbled, but it sounded scincere. He'd been looking for his own brother for weeks, he knew the value of family, and did have a shred of respect for this wolf for searching them out.

Kamali nodded, glad that he didn't press further. With out his siblings Kamali would have felt.. lonely at one time. He'd still be devistated if anything ever happened to the three others in his blood line, but he'd always Have Monenoke. And friends, he realized.

But he honestly knew it would never be the same if he lossed all of his family. The lull in the conversation was getting to him and his ears flicked a little. "Who was it that you are searching for?" His head tilted, finally feeling it would be okay to ask.

Since Kamali was good enough to share his information, Sen would do the same. He was a lot of things, but he did believe in equal exchange.

"My brother." He provided, leaving out mention of the wolf he'd been sent to track down and kill in cold blood.

Sen lay there almost still, staring up at the sky through his bloody red eye. He would have gone insane a long time ago if not for his brother, and so everything that he did worth anything was for Kurogane's sake.

He blinked, head tilting and he nodded slowly. Kamali had one brother, two sisters. He frowned, wondering how they were all doing. "I see." He murmered quietly, tail flicking away from his body as he watched Sen.

Slowly he gazed around the feild.

Sen fell silent too after that, he no longer felt the urge, at the moment, to play any verbal games with this fellow. Instead he stretched across the ground and rose to his paws again, shaking the pine needles from his fur. "You want to hunt?" He asked dryly, almost lacking emotion as his expression sombered over lazily.

Kamali shifted, tensing. Hunting, he winced a little. He was a prefectly find hunter, but he disliked blood. He suposed it wouldn't hurt though. He pulled himself slowly from the rock, shaking off a little, testing his weight on his left paw. Just a little scratched up, nothing seriously wrong with it.

"Hmm, that sounds like an Idea. Hopefully there will be something around." Two grown males could pull down something bigger than rabbits, so Kam thought.

"I'm sure we'll find something..."

Sen's eyes flashed as a ghost of a grinnish smirk crossed his features, and he turned, heading into the woods to begin the search for prey.

Kamali blinked, a shiver running down his spine but he trotted after the other none the less, stomach grumbling. He barely ate considering his dislike of blood, and was constantly hungry. So he supposed the hunt would do him good. Little did he know it wouldnt.

RP of kam x sen x kuro (status: not finished)

Sen was all too happy to lick the blood from around his maw, savoring the strong taste and smell filling the air of the area. His tongue moved slowly as did his eyes, head swivling lazily to survey the extent of the damage done.

Sen was not known to be merciful on his victims. He enjoyed playing, almost above all else. Deer made for quite an enjoyable kill, too, for they struggled, and protested, and fought back right down to the very last breath, especially the ones just before adulthood but just after childhood. Such lively beasties!

Ah, but this one had already given it's last breath moments ago. The two males, Kamali and Sen, were able to bring him down without a terrible lot of trouble. Two grown male wolves were of equal match to one adolescent stag after all.

His lanky figure shifted as he turned to look at Kamali, the thrill in his eyes dying down but faintly. As his tail began to sweep contently back and forth it's owner was uncaring of the blood catching in it's fur or the blood being flung about as a result. His words seemed to melt right off of his tongue. "That was quite sucessful, wouldn't you say?"

Kamali looked completely repulsed, just sort of standing in a frozen state of horror. The smell was bad enough, but he put up with that every time he did hunt. But it turned out Sen had a bit of.. blood lust. To say the least.

He wasn't all too stable, swaying just a bit one way than the other. "Sucessful.. mm yeah." He muttered, staring all around at the blood. His hackles were still up, ears pinned back. He was certainly looking as uneasy as he felt. He almost whined, but shook his head, clamping down his jaws to keep the pitiful sound in.

What's this, then? Blood? Lots of it, by the smell of it...

Bah. Only silly deer blood. Though with this amount of it...

"So that's where he went." A smile crawled onto Kurogane's mouth. The wolf had been wandering around for the better part of a long while- terrifying a young wolf or three along the way- too bored with sitting around to stand it anymore.

Making a decision, the large wolf padded towards the blood-soaked smell of deer meet and wolves, certain he'd find Sen there.

Sen cocked his head to one side at the sight of Kamali's strange swaying. He wasn't stupid, he could see the other was bothered by-- probably --the kill, or the blood more specifically. It was painfully obvious in both the glances he kept shooting about and the way he behaved.

Sen's voice dropped to a softer tone, checking his amusement slightly. "Don't like the smell of a fresh kill? Maybe you should have a sit down, you don't look too well, Mali."

Without another glance he turned back to their kill, hopping easily over to the other side and tearing into the underside to feast. He'd only just gotten a mouthful when Kuro's scent wafted in shyly through the heavy stench of blood. His ears perked atop of his head, but otherwise he made no immediate move but to chew his food down and swallow. He'd explain things when Kuro got there.

A seat? Yes that did sound nice. Slowly Kamali sat on the ground, careful not to sit in any of the blood. "Not really the smell so much.. as of how much." He murmered softly, trying to keep the images of his birth pack out of his head. His ear flicked a little, he cought scent of the other wolf too.

A stranger? But Sen either did not notice or knew the one approaching. Kamali's gaze sharpened a bit, as he slowly looked around, foccusing not on the blood, but his surroundings.

He soon came upon the two others, merely lifting a brow at the sight of Kamali. He looked alert already... Could Kuro have started his game without really thinking about it? Well that was certainly a laugh! But the only hint of that thought Kurogane showed was a widening of his smile.

Oh well. He could just let it lie for now. Kuro turned his attention towards his brother with a lazy swing of his head.

"Had a bit of fun with that one, did you?" He eyed the remains of the deer, settling down and helping himself to the rump.

Sen swallowed his mouthful just as Kamali was having a seat, and Kuro was beginning to dig in. He ran his tongue over his lips again and flicked an ear towards a fly that had boldly decided to join their meal.

"It's always much easier with good help."

Now he swiveled his head towards his brother and butted his shoulder, tail twitching as he mocked lazy-indignance.

"Don't you know it's rude to just show up and start eating someone else's kill?"

Keh, not that Kuro would care even if he'd been serious. His older brother practically dwarfed his sorry lanky, speed-built frame.

Quietly, Sen took part of a fair part of the kill and tossed his head, tearing it away from the rest of the body. Carrying it over to the shaken green-loner, the blood splattered wolf would drop it at Kamali's paws, licking at the corner of his maw as he did so. Kuro might find this behavior of his odd, but Kamali had, thus far, prooven himself to be alright in Sen's book. Sen locked gazes with Kamali for a moment. "You should eat even if it is a little bloody."

Then he went back to the kill and settled down to clamp his jaws over one of the bones, tugging to try freeing it from the rest. It didn't seem like Kamali would find it in himself to join them yet. Let him take his time.

Kamali blinked, eyes narrowing suspeciously at the new comer, but he made no comment seeing as Sen seemed to know him. He blinked, as part of the kill was given to him, and murmered a thanks even though he did have claim to at least half.

He leaned deligately over the bloody mass of meat and began eating, eyes shut, trying to block out the taste. He had recently seen worry in Noke's eyes, and she'd been hunting for him every now and then.. He knew it was because his ribs were beginning to show. It was sweet that she cared though.

Kurogane turned an ear towards his brother, his smile remaining in place as he swallowed another hunk of meat and yawned widely, showing his now bloody fangs. Of course, he paid no mind to Kamali's suspicious glances. He looked about ready to fall over, so Kuro didn't consider him any kind of threat. "Not really."

... Wait. That was weird... Sen was giving food to this guy and admonishing him to eat?

...... Huh. Must not be a total waste of a wolf then. He hadn't seen his brother do that for anyone else that he could remember, if he ever had.

Most curious. But, he didn't need to be thinking about that right now.

With a shrug of his well-muscled shoulders, the grey and black wolf settled back into a lazy position, watching Kamali with a renewed interest. "Not really all that hungry, anyway. Made yourself a friend, though, haven't you?" It was a strange thought, Sen having a friend... Hum. He'd have to wait and see on this one..

"Kind of like a pet you could almost say." He teased, finally just growling and jerking the offending bone loose with a CRACK--

He settled down with the large splinter to chew on the bloody stump of an end.

"He's better than most of the others around here. I'll tell you that much." Sen muttered. He almost wished he had some fabled seer's powers (for they had come across rumors of the gifted/cursed wolves), then perhaps he could share his thoughts directly with his brother instead of leaving him to guess. He always had a hard time disguising his words around others while still getting his point across to Kuro... Then again, that statement was a little less cryptic than usual. He'd probably catch it anyway-- Kuro was far from stupid. "He's Kamali. This is Kuro. Play nice with each other or I'll get most annoyed."

He was always such a smartass.

Kamali's mug came up as he heard Sen's tease, a small frown flicking onto his mug. He did not say anything though, hoping it was just a tease. He continued to listen, curious, until he was introduced. His gaze flicked to Kuro, head tilting.

He wondered, briefly, if this was the brother Sen had been speaking of before, but had no way of knowing except asking, and he felt that might be a little rude. He swallowed what he'd been chewing, while watching the whole time. "A pleasure." He murmered, polite as always. His gaze remained on the other wolf, just as curious of him, perhaps, as he was of Kamali.

"And when have I ever not played nice, Sen?" Kurogane asked brightly, the smile on his face transforming into a grin. Sure, Kuro played nice.... except for that one time... and that one....

Actually, there were only a handful of times that he had played nice, if that many.

Oh well. What can you do when you're old alpha was a crazy b*****d who'd taken his mind and the mind of his brother, not to mention the rest of the pack, and twisted them into some wierd and crooked versions of themselves?

But, it was better not to think of that wolf. On to more pressing matters.

It seemed that Sen actually liked this wolf.

Weird.

But not impossible. Kurogane eyed Kamali again. If Sen thought he was worth something, he must have more to him than fur and bones... and an apparent squeamishness about blood. "Right back at you, Skinny." His voice was bright when he spoke, indicating that he wasn't trying to intimidate or make fun of Kamali... for now. "So, how'd you meet my brother over here?" Okay, now he wasn't making a pretense. He really was curious.. though he wouldn't just about die if he didn't get the information.
