Mia's smile was warm. She shyly held out her arms. "If you don't mind." her voice was already the soft one she used to talk to babies. She cradled Geraldine gently, and expertly. "'Allo young one. I agree, she is lovely, like her mother." Mia's smile and eyes were warm and loving when she looked at Celine.

Syem giggled happily in his new brother's arms, though he kept his blanket still wrapped tightly around himself. "Then we'll jutht hafta look out for each other, huh?" he replied with a firm nod of his head, smiling happily before he pulled part of his blanket over his head like a cloak.

Celine blushed and looked down at her feet, not quite sure what to say next. Then she looked up once more, and glanced around the small clearing. "So," she began, "how many siblings do I have now?" She kept the tone casual, to let Gulzar know that she was no longer angry.

Gulzar was caught off-guard by the question and started counting on his fingers. "Well, there's Cernunnos, Xi Yui, Hart, Tyr, Fogmist, Eddystream, and Syem...so...seven brothers and no sisters," he finished sheepishly. "Dionysus doesn't count, since he's your cousin."

Syem grinned and nodded assuredly in response, flicking his tongue a bit, making him look odd from beneath his blanket cloak. "Yeth!" he replied happily, before peering around at all the bigger 'taur, trying to discern one from another. "Tho who are all thethe people, Di-o-ny-thuth?" he asked, still having trouble pronouncing his cousin's name, though his fear of the big-wide-world was depleting quite a bit since he'd crawled out from his small egg.

"Weww, you know Guwzaw and Mia, and I think the wady is youw sistew Cewine, and she has a baby now." Dionysus wasn't absolutely certain himself, but he was glad that Syem seemed to be coming out of his shell.

"What, no sisters at all?" Celine asked, shocked by the news. So... that meant that the only females in the family were her, Mia, and Geraldine. She had been thinking about raising her daughter here, knowing as little as she did about raising children, but no... No. She didn't have a choice. And at least there would be her and Mia there, so Geraldine wouldn't feel totally left out.

Mia blinked. She hadn't realized there were not many girls in her rapidly-expanding family. Mia rocked Geraldine softly. "Well..." she wasn't sure where she was going with her random outburst of word. She made the soft smile come back to her face.

Now that Gulzar thought about it, there did seem to be a sad lack in girls in the family. "Yeah, I seem to have found more boys abandoned than girls abandoned," he said sheepishly.

"Uww, really?" Syem asked curiously at the mention of the baby, wanting to see another sibling who was somewhere around his own age. "C'mon, we should go thee the baby!" he noted excitedly, taking Dionysus' hand and slithering over to his mother, trying to pull his unsteady, slim body up high enough to see the child in her arms. The tip of his tail twitched before he half-fell back down. "I can't get up high enough..." he commented, sort of to himself, looking up with wide eyes, as though that would be enough for the tall 'taur to show him the little girl.

Mia looked down at Syem. "Oh! Ye want ta see her?" she asked as she gently lowered Geraldine down to Syem's sight, being careful not to make her feel like she is being dropped. "What do ye think?"

Syem squeaked happily when his mother showed the little girl to him, smiling brightly and pulling himself higher up with the length of his tail, relying partially on his mother's hand to keep his torso off the ground. He giggled happily and poked one of her hands a bit; she was so small! He looked up at his mother with a bright smile on his face, the tip of his tail twitching cutely. "Shee'th tho cuuute!!"

Mia smiled, always gently. Here was her granddaughter and one of her sons, and it seemed as though the world was made just for them. She wasn't sure if there was anything that could make her even happier... except, of course, more things bringing joy into her life. But right now, this all seemed perfect.
