Call it a Linked Krak launcher with normal 24" range. Call it a 2 handed Assault weapon, and make it cost 15ish points.

I was kinda meaning that example to be a little over the top... sweatdrop I just meant a weapon that was better than most squad upgrades, but then he can move at shoot.

It is over the top. That's why its more expensive. The thing is, HQ's have the ability, nay, the right to be ridiculous and slightly overpowered. They're supposed to be the supreme leaders of a force, so why not make them kinda crazy?

Yeah, I guess so. That one you cam up with would actually be pretty handy, though I'd rather it be Assault 2 rather than twin linked...
And make it a cool anti-tank rifle... /drool

Eldar have a variety of ranged psychic powers that are very powerful. Imperial Guard command squads make insanely good fire teams; all of the retinue can take special weapons and up to one heavy weapon. Space Marines have combi-weapons. Tyranid Hive Tyrants can take a whole bunch of big ranged guns, and can fire them two at a time. Edit

My brother had nids for a while and I really didn't like them, too much work to paint and too squishy, for the most part at least.
Now that picture, I've always wondered how the rules for doing that, as in dual pistols, actually worked...

So only Cypher can use them as if they together counted as an Assault 2 weapon? At least Seraphim get to count them as twin linked...
...right?

If they're modeled as two of the same kind of pistol, they can be counted (rules-wise) as a Master Crafted weapon. The only model that can fire two different types of pistols is the Eversor Assassin.

How? I don't see any kind of "suck" involved there.

I meant as they are the only, rather than anyone can.

Aku Kami Kurayami I meant as they are the only, rather than anyone can. Well, keep in mind that this is a wargame. Yes, to some extent the rule of cool applies, but when you're on an open battlefield, whether it's a forested countryside or a city, or a desert, you want a rifle for the range and accuracy. Having two pistols when running around the ruins of a city is just asking to get picked off before you can use them. Hence why only Sisters of Battle (crazy religious devotion and power armor) Tyranids (hivemind doesn't care about survivability and each arm is a weapon) and certain special characters (they're special)get two pistols. Sisters of Battle count their pistols as being twin-linked, double weapon symbiotes for 'Nids are twin-linked, Magneus Calgar's Powerfists with built in bolters count as a stormbolter.

And then you have a Tau shas'O who can take all sorts of lovely weapons and can fire two in one turn. not to mention all of the cool wargear they get access to.
Doing the whole line of fire warriors thing that was mentioned before isnt the only way to play tau so dont let that bother you, there are so many other aspects to tau than fire warriors and crisis suits, im thinking kroot, lots of skimmers , stealth suits and snipers/pathfinders off the top of my head
