Teg blinked again, rubbing his eyes with his hands. "Wha..." Rubbing his eyes... with his... hands?! He sat bolt upright, staring at his new-formed appendages in shock and awe. "Hands. I have hands." his tone was quite, almost disbelieving, and if one looked close enough one might notice tears gathering at the corners of his eyes, though he blinked them back before they fell. He used his new hands to feel for other changes, laughing when he felt hair, having been too distracted by the hands to have noticed it earlier, even with it covering one eye. Upon feeling the wings on his back, he did shout. "Wings! I have wings!" suddenly remembering his companion, he turned. "Agramon, I have wings! And hands!" He fluttered them in demonstration, rising a few inches off the ground and hovering there, a look of pure, childish glee on his face.

Agramon laughed. He was amused an pleased with happiness of his new companion.
'' Yes you have. And don't forget legs. Now you have legs too and you can feel the path you're walking on. ''
He came close to Teg and patted his back.
'' Now Teg you're handsome. I'm sure you'll sweep all that females from their feet. ''
He smiled to Teg and gave him some more time to enjoy in his new form.
'' Do you feel tired? Would you like to rest a little or should we continue? ''

"Legs are nice. But hands! That was the hardest part of being dead, I think, was not having hands." Teg stares at them for a bit longer before realizing that Agramon asked him a question. "Hmm...? Oh, no, no, you kidding? I'm feeling great! Like I could... fly over that mountain there," he pointed to a tall, cloud-crowned mountain in the distance,"or climb the Tree of Life itself!" He flapped his wings, twirling in the air before landing lightly on his new feet one again.

Agramon looked at him and was happy for Teg. He smiled.
'' Well then let us continue. What are you're plans now? Do you have naything specila you wanted to do when you transform? ''
He searched little through hi pockets and handed bun to Teg.
'' Here if you're hungry. I like them they're perfect as snacks. ''
He continued to follow every move Teg made.

"Eh, special? No... not really. Nothing specific, anyways. Now that I'm physical again, I like to... collect... pretty things. But I can do that anywhere." He was not going to admit to his new friend that he had been a thief in life, one of the few things he knew about it. For the first time, he was somewhat ashamed of his former profession. He suspected Agramon would not approve, and he did not want to lose his first friend. "Food! I've not eaten anything in... well a long time!" He munches on it, humming happily as he holds it in both hands like a squirrel*

'' Collecting you say. Tell me what do you like to collect maybe I can help a little. ''
Takes two new buns from his pocket, hands one to Teg and munches on the other.
'' I think it will take a day of walk to our destination so we should be better on our way. ''

Teg nods, again taking the bun in both hands to munch on it. "Nothing specific really... mostly just shiny or pretty things that catch my fancy." He shrugged noncommittally. "I'm ready to go, if you are?"

And so they continued to Priyal. The night was warm and cool breeze felt so good. Agramon saw few fireflies and they reminded him of his hometown. He wished he was one more there with all his family and friends. He used to dream of different life when he was alive and in it he had family of his own and his beloved never died. He smiled sweetly thinking of what could have been.
'' Teg do you remember anything about you're home town? Did you like fireflies when you were young? ''

"I don't know. All I remember is the last bit of my life, shortly before I died, and general impressions about the rest of my life. And even that's in bits and pieces." He shrugged, shivering, trying not to let the memories drag him back into his past. "I think I would have liked them, though. They are so bright, like living stars."

'' I did promise you stories. Well I remember my home village quite good. It was near sea and most of villagers were fishermen but not all. There were some pottery makers and Miyu's family were jewelers. Her grandparents came from town looking for peaceful little place for family. They were quite skilled I remember I used to admire her work. And any way there were about thirty houses and because it was always warm they were made from wood. It was never too cold in winter and there would fall snow occasionally but not too often. There were lots of children and we would all play together. We were always extremely happy when snow would fall. And in spring everything would bloom. We loved to make flower crowns even when we all grew up. It was our little ritual we would do once a year. And Miyu's garden would bloom in late spring with big dark red roses. You know I gave her three plants and she made a whole garden out of them. She would plant new sticks every fall and soon it became quite big rose garden. ''
Agramon smiled. Remembering that big garden made him happy.
'' The summers were our favorite time of the year. We used to run around village catching fireflies and putting them in jars. Then we would admire them and they're glow and when it got time to go home we would let them go so we could catch them again. ''
He watched as the fireflies flied in the night air and wished he was again that small kid running after them for life seamed so easy and careless then.
'' I'm so excited I'll see sea once more after so long. We should restock with buns there or maybe you know some better treat we could use to sweeten our journey? ''

"It's wonderful that you were so happy together, I really hope we can find her for you." Teg saw Agramon watching the fireflies, a wistful look on his face, and once again thought it might be better that he didn't remember the past. It seemed good memories could be as painful as bad.
"Buns are good. And could we maybe get... some apples? I don't know if I've ever had one, but I see them in town and they look so good..."
((sorry it too so long, and is so short! My muse went to the Bahamas, I think...))

'' Apples? Sure. We can even find few different kinds if you want. ''
They're walk was pleasant. Agramon pooled out of his sleeve some old jokes he knew in hope he would make Teg laugh. Dawn caught them on a little hill from where they had great view. And in the distance there was town silhouette. It was they're destination finally.
'' Look Teg. There it is. We'll reach it by night fall. ''

"Please! Especially the green-and-pink ones, people are always saying how sweet they are, I've always wanted to try them." Teg had a feeling that, even if he had had apples in his life, they had not been so sweet and juicy as the ones he saw for sale in the towns, but more like the bruised and wrinkled worm-eaten ones he saw rolling in the dust when the markets closed down. Teg, in quite a good humor, laughed heartily at Agramon's jokes, filing away some for later use. If he had known any good jokes, he had forgotten them, but he did have a few amusing anecdotes from watching people that he shared with his companion. Teg gazed at the silhouette of the town against the rising sun. He knew the town would have it's filth, it's crime, it's undesirables, but from here it looked perfect. "Let's go!" He cried, and with a glad laugh, ran down the hill for no reason other than that he could.

Agramon listened gladly to anecdotes Teg told him. He was always in search of knowledge. He looked at Teg and before he knew Teg was gone running down the hill laughing.
'' Wait for me! You got you're legs and now you're running all around. ''
Agramon laughed along while he was running fallowing Teg and it was not long when he passed Teg.
'' Last one to the town is a rotten egg! ''

Teg ran as fast as he could, his new legs pumping for all they were worth and his wings helping to propel him forward, his feet barely touching the ground. "Hope you like smelling like sulfur!" he called back joyfully.
