Alisabethya OMG its standardtoaster Alisabethya Maybe not separating fully by color, but offer a background for each. Example, the bay centaurs came from a long line of healers, hunters, farmers. The white and gray has a history of being artists, story tellers, scientists. The black centaurs, being warriors, traders, builders. Something like that. But I'm just thinking story line. I like that idea, but then what if someone is bay but they are more warrior? I s'pose its not going to be strictly enforced though. But I still like the background story ideas... smile When the herd combined the classes started mixing, maybe. Yeah I like that idea. I think that's the direction to go, haha. mrgreen

And we each have our own background stories.
They might not fit what the set story would be.
I mean, this should be a guild full of creativity, not having guidelines and set stories.

Woah alot of post while I was gone, I see most agree with this but have overrall different views. I'm alright with the Latin names, but for the heck of it maybe we should make a few more suggestions.

elements could be an idea, like ice could be for the grey centaurs, black could be shadow controllers, bay could be earth, or any other elements you feel like, with this idea, we're better together than against each other or something, like water puts out fire, fire burns wood (earth in this matter), earth absorbs water. so divided we fall, together we stand kinda thing ^_^ just throwing an idea around ^_^

Noirotic I mean for each of the colors. Black would be Midnight Riders, white will be Heavenly Stampede, and brown Earth Rumble? I can't think of many good ones so give me some ideas and your opinions on it.
DISCUSS NOW I like that actually, maybe have like sub-catogories, something along the lines of what GenuineRoyalty suggested, but allow the person to pick they're own elements andwhatnot. I mean, a grey/white centaur may not want to contol ice, maybe air/water? Something along those lines? Just a thought ^^

No thanksssssss. Hahaha, I'd hate for a random tektek of a centaur avatar I ended up liking to pin me into a category. I like alliances between us, but based on colour seems a little unfair.
Someone mentioned the bay centaurs being healers, hunters and farmers-- but I chose black because I planned on drawing my avatar to have the structure of a Donkey-- you know, to guard flocks of sheep or cattle. I was kind of going on an individual character approach-- some centaurs built like draft horses, others compact like Lipizzaner and other saddle breeds.
@ 3@ I like the idea of us having elements-- earth, wind, etc-- but I don't really like the idea of colour dictating the trait.

If anyone needs another couple of centaurs in the other groups (since I'm in the dark class) I can bring a couple of my mules in. I've got about 4 but I'd Like to keep at least 2 of them the way they are. Although it will be me roleplaying, but.. I figured it'd help with the numbers for the bay and gray centaur races, maybe?

Groups are fine, as long as they aren't mandatory. Color division is okay, as long as the color groups remember that we're all one big herd, and we don't want warring factions. I like the latin names, those are cool.

I think it would be a great way to kick off a storyline for this guild and then they all merged together and became one big mix of everything.
