Nio groaned as he carried his daughter into the room and closed the door. "Ohh, you just had to pick Life. The one game I never win at. Sure, smurfette. We can play Life. Let's just hope I don't get garbage man again."

A shuffle was heard in the closet, and out tumbled a blur of gold, covered in clothing and other accessories. Donny had either been looking for something thoroughly, or just been nosy enough to get lost in the expanse of items. Nevertheless, he was glad to see his father and sister, and flailed towards them helplessly. He was half-covered, and all stuck.

"Help?!"

---

Alania slid into the household and brushed off the formalities with a careless gesture of her hand. She didn't care where the living room was, and the last thing she wanted was to have a look around. She took a few steps in, and turned swiftly on her heel, regarding Enoh with a critical gaze. She couldn't help it; her eyes strayed for just a moment to the woman's stomach, before returning just as quickly to her own eyes.

"Nevermind all that. Just tell me what it is that was so important my brother felt the need to call me, when I specifically asked him never to contact me."

She obviously had an inkling about the situation, (or problem as her mind thought it), but she needed to hear it from the woman herself, first.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 02, 2005 12:03 pm

"YOU lose at Life?" Vidya stared at him, wide-eyed. She then burst into a fit of giggles, pointing at herself. "Me too! Viddy loses at life!" She didn't quite get the dual meaning of the statement, but she thought it was hilarious that she and her dad BOTH lost at it. "Valen keeps winnin'" She confirmed, nodding her head.

The blue-skinned child leaned her head to the side as she saw a mass of gold and items come falling out of the closet. After a few seconds of trying to figure out exactly what had happened, she wiggled her way out of Nio's arms and pounced onto the ground, shuffling over to her stuck brother and starting to remove the various toys and other objects from around him, fighting back her laughter as hard as she could.

"Whattcha doin' in tha closet, Donny?" She blinked, well aware that they weren't going to play Life anymore...they'd probably clean the room. Her side wings drooped for a moment at the thought.

---

Right, Enoh thought to herself, she doesn't care for formalities. Nevermind then! Screw being a good host. The shifter lightly closed the door and stepped towards Alania, making sure to keep a comfortable distance from her. Naturally, she caught the very short glance to her stomach. As if on instinct, she folded her arms over the small bulge in her stomach, passing it off as a force of habit.

"I still don't quite understand why you just wouldn't talk to him on the phone about it...or talked with me on the phone about it...but either way..." She shrugged a bit, actually finding it pointless for the woman to come all this way to hear something she could have easily heard on the phone. Still, she tried to find an explaination for it; maybe it was better to hear news in person? Anyway.

"I'm pregnant. Nio and I...we're expecting a baby." She stated matter-of-factly, a proud little smile on her lips. "And we thought you should know that you're going to be an Aunt." However pleasant her voice sounded, the shifter was keeping herself on guard, watching intently for Alania's reaction.

Nio snorted softly at the mention of Valen's name. "Yes, Valen always wins when we play, too. The boy is a natural at that game, and I'm sure he'll grow up to be very successful." By CRUSHING OTHER PEOPLE'S DREAMS! Ahem.

He blinked as he watched his son fall out of the closet, and eyed the mess critically. He didn't have to ask what the boy was doing in there, for his daughter did it for him.

"Lookin' for somethin'." Donny muttered out disheartenedly, and tried quickly to change the subject. "We gonna play a game?"

"Ah, correction. Vidya and I are going to play a game. You are going to clean up this mess you just made, then you may play with us."

Donny glared at his father defiantly, but didn't say a word.

---

Alania sighed instantly at the response, and looked suddenly weary. She rubbed her temple with one hand, and closed her eyes. "I had a feeling that was it.. I'll take that seat now, if the offer's still open."

She would wait until Enoh agreed, before heading into the living room, flopping down on the couch, and gesturing for the woman to sit beside her. "Well, I don't know what kind of woman I would be if I didn't offer you congratulations, first of all. But if you've noticed, I'm not exactly jubilant about the news." Her eyes settled on Enoh sternly. "I'm worried."
PostPosted: Mon Oct 03, 2005 7:59 pm

Vidya looked torn. She wanted to help Donny clean up so that he could play with them too...but Daddy had just said that ONLY Donny was going to clean up! Naturally, you see her dilemma. She pouted a bit, trying to figure out what she should do...

...and she eventually sided with her father. He was a lot bigger than her, and older too. Not to mention he was her Daddy. Looking a bit regretful of her choice, she wandered over to their bed and dug around underneith it, eventually pulling out that board game. Her next move was to crawl onto the bed, and followed shortly by getting the game ready. She refused to say anything, lest she crack and disobey Daddy.

--

My was Alania full of surprises. "Oh...sure. The offer's still there." Enoh pondered over the other woman's reaction, but didn't hesitate to follow her into the living room, and taking the seat beside the cabbit woman as it was offered to her.

"First off, thankyou. And Second off...I kind of noticed." AND She kind of expected it...not that she'd let Alania know that, of course. The shifter's crimson eyes locked onto Alania's, though her gaze was strangely stoic (though there was a guarded hint of curiousity within them). "Worried? May I ask why?"

Nio watched his daughter through a side glance as she set up the game. She looked as though she was about to explode, she was trying so hard to hold herself back. A surge of pride welled within him as he watched her; what had he done to deserve a daughter this well adjusted and impossibly sweet? All she wanted to do was help her brother. Her selfless care was a quality so rare that Nio felt he was possibly the luckiest father in the world.

If only all of his children were such way.

"Well.. maybe he'll be done faster if he had a little help. You don't have to, mind you.. but if you'd rather play with your brother I suppose you can help him clean up so that he's done quicker."

He tried not to smile, looking as serious as the cabbit-man could muster. His son had started to pick up clothing and dump it back in the closet quite unceremoniously, but paused at this, wondering if it was some kind of trick.

---

Alania settled her head back on the couch and looked up at the ceiling. "I don't want to get into details." She murmured in a quick, sharp response, but continued. "But we weren't supposed to breed."

She gave a small, humorless laugh, as she thought of how hypocritical that statement was considering her own, almost grown son. "But no one can really control things like that, can they? Still, the fact is that your child's in danger. Well.. it will be. I don't think it's going to do anything while it's still inside you. At least, I hope not.. I don't want to have to pick up the pieces of my brother's heart after he sees you imploding." She patted Enoh's knee, a surprisingly affectionate and yet condescending action at the same time. "But don't worry, like I said, I really don't think that's going to happen."

She looked as though she had more to say, but instead punctuated her gruesome conversation with an odd request. "I'm so parched from the flight here.. you wouldn't happen to have something to drink, would you?"

Vidya felt so...so guilty about not being able to help Adonis. So naturally, as Nio spoke of helping her brother, the guilt and depression caused by the mess faded, her features taken over my a bright, overly happy expression. Her side wings perked again, and the excited blue tale gasped happily. "ME NOT MIND!" She cried out excitedly, jumping off of the bed and instantly going to Adonis' side...but not before pausing to give her father's legs a much-deserved hug.

When Vidya arrived at the scene of the mess, she naturally took out what Donny had just...dumped inside, rather folding it neatly or putting it on a hook, as Mieke once instructed. She said nothing about the way he was putting things into the closet, merely because she was more than happy for being able to help him. As she worked to clean up alongside him, she started humming a cheery tune to herself.

Once they were finished, she tagged Adonis playfully and darted back to the bed. "TAG!" Playing tag in the house? Naah. It was merely a sibling race to see who got there first, of course!

---

"Aren't supposed to breed...?" Enoh parrotted softly, the confusion that had been dimly in her eyes grew brighter. If that were true, why the hell was she pregnant? Already her reasoning for worry seemed pointless.

The shifter's body stiffened at the mention of her child being in danger, a rather dark look flashing in her crimson eyes; a natural reaction from any expecting mother when it came to this subject. She didn't want to, but she listened intently to what Alania had to say on the matter...and the longer the woman talked, the paler the shifter's face got. Enoh couldn't make any form of literate retaliation to Alania's words...she was too shocked - not to mention terrified - from what she had been told. Not only was her baby in danger, but now her own life had a possibility of reaching that same fate? How on earth was she SUPPOSED to respond to news like that?! Even her reassurance on the matter did very little to help Enoh's current state of shock.

"Yes...in the fridge.." She murmured weakly, obviously distracted. She then pointed towards the kitchen, which was across the hallway. Enoh didn't get up to follow, giving the woman the credit of being smart enough to find it on her own.

How was she supposed to react to news like this? Question until her throat bled? Investigate the matter? Cry? Go about daily life as if she was never told this? Or perhaps she was supposed to break down completely... All of these possible reactions were pushed aside, and the shifter merely stared at her lap, her growing belly somewhat noticable within her eyesight. It can't be true, She told herself, It just can't! I'm pregnant now...so doesn't that mean something? If they weren't meant to breed...I wouldn't be pregnant now, and Alania wouldn't have had Alex!

...Wait. Alex...

The shifter snapped out of her shocked trance, her crimson eyes narrowing a bit. If what Alania said was true, technically Alex shouldn't be alive! But he was...and that meant her baby had more than a chance as well. She lifted her head a bit, and merely waited for Alania to return before questioning the cabbit woman about her own son.

Nio knew she'd bounce at the chance to go and help him. He sat back and settled in, watching them with a content smile. At that moment, all things considered, he felt like the luckiest man in the whole world.

Donny watched his perfect pile diminish as Vidya put things away the right way. He grabbed one of the hats that would have surely been put up and instead flopped it on his head, settling it crookedly. It was too big, and covered half his face, but he didn't mind. He smirked pompously and followed Vidya as she scooped over, flopping over her from behind to give her a tackle-hug. Half-fallen on the floor from his actions, he grinned at his sister childishly.

"Thanks, Viddy." He chirped out, just loud enough for her to hear, but hopefully not loud enough for his father to catch. Nio heard it anyway.

"So, are we all ready to play?"

---

Alania came back into the room carrying a long glass filled with orange liquid. It wasn't a secret what her choice of beverage had been. "So." She murmured as she sat back down, speaking before Enoh had a chance to counter with her own questions. "I bet you're wondering about Alex."

The woman had an uncanny way of knowing exactly what someone might be thinking at any time. She was no psychic, she was just.. that good.

"Not many people know who Alex's father was. I doubt even he really knows, even though he's the only person who witnessed Raiden's.. death." She paused at the word, and quickly brought her carrot juice to her lips to busy herself. The last thing she wanted to do was let this woman see her cry.

"To make a long story short, Alex's father was a kitsune. Now, I know you know what that is, and for all I know you are too. In fact, that's part of the reason I came here today. I don't know the least bit about you, and I need to." She flicked her eyes up to the fox ears resting atop Enoh's head, before returning her gaze to Enoh herself.

"So let's start there. What are you?" It was a rather rude way of putting it, but no one ever accused Alania of being overly polite.
PostPosted: Wed Oct 05, 2005 5:52 pm

Vidya squeaked as she was tackle-hugged. Giggling softly, she wiggled a bit in his grasp so she could face him, and once she could, she made sure to give him a very, very big hug in return. She could tell from his quiet voice that he didn't want to let their father know he'd enjoyed the help, so the tale just kept quiet, nodding happily.

She crawled onto the bed, and instead of answering Nio, Vidya reached out and took a career card, leaning her head to the side as she looked at it. She wasn't the best at reading just yet, but she could get by. "Deh...oc..tor...Doctor! Viddy'sa Doctor!" She squeaked happily, turning the card around so that her father could confirm what she'd read.

---

Enoh looked surprised once more. "Uh...Yeah...I was wondering about him.." Damn this woman was good! Alright, so the shifter had to give her credit. She listened to the very brief story, and she also took the hint of not to bring it up...especially when Alania started to busy herself. Enoh understood, and never pressed the subject further.

When questioned about her own race, though...the shifter fell silent. There were very few people in the world who actually knew what she was, actually, there were only two; Nio, and herself. To her children, she was just a clever magician. Nobody never asked her what she was either...to their minds, there Mother was there Mother, and that was that. Enoh didn't much enjoy letting people know what she was; mainly because she was confused and, in all honesty, somewhat ashamed of it...however, Alania had the right to know, or so she supposed.

With a soft sigh, she tugged the kitchen cloth off of her shoulder, and started to rub away at the special effects makeup she had under her left eye, her cheeks, her neck, her wrists and her fingers; all to reveal various blue tattoos. The ones under her left eye were three perfect circles, the ones on her cheeks resembled stripes, on her neck was a straight band, and there were linking half moons on both of her wrists, and blue bands also on the upper parts of her fingertips.

"I'm a Shapeshifter, that much I can tell you. I guess these tattoos are my Tribe markings...but I really couldn't tell you from which tribe I come from. They started showing up when I got pregnant." She spoke reluctantly, looking down at the make-up covered towel now resting on her lap. Her hand then raised, tweaking one of her ears. "I'm guessing these ears are part of my tribe's markings as well, because I can't get rid of them. The horns, too. I can make the horns smaller, but they'll never disappear." She explained. "I really can't tell you anymore on my background...I can't recall anything from before December last year." Her tone was strangely apologetic; perhaps she was ashamed of what she was because she didn't really know what she was?

"I can prove it to you, if you'd like."

Nio opened his mouth and held a finger up as if to mention that it wasn't yet time for Vidya to pick out a career card yet, but shut it a moment later without a word. Who needed rules when you had Vidya? He picked out a card of his own, and a brow cocked.

Well, at least he wasn't a garbage man.

"Looks like daddy's a rock star, kids." He murmured in amusement, flipping the card between his two fingers to show it off.

"DONNY'S TURN~" The little winged boy cried out, as he practically tackled the stack of cards and picked out one that wasn't on the top, but more near the middle. He looked at it, his eyes narrowing deep in thought, before turning it around and showing it to Vidya.

"Read please."

---

Alania quickly shook her head, taking another sip of her carrot juice before verbalizing her answer. "No, no. That won't be necessary. You have no reason to lie to me. I don't exactly know how that will equate in terms of the baby, I don't know if that will make things better or worse, but from what little experience I have with one child, I'm going to assume a positive outlook about it."

She put down the glass, and studied her hands. "There are things about Nio that he'll never know, and I'd like to keep them that way. Having a child puts that blessed ignorance in jeopardy, but.." She looked up at Enoh, her eyes pleading. "I'm just trying to do what's best for him. It may not look like it, and it certainly may not feel like it, but you've got to trust me. Even if he doesn't. You have no reason to, but nonetheless.." She sighed in exasperation, finding her own words faulty and useless.

"When Alex was a baby, he had his father. Any chance for a mishap, and Raiden was right there to make sure it didn't happen. Now, for your child, I think that responsibility is going to fall to you.. because Nio can never know what he's capable of. Or his child. ..Or me."

She wrung her hands in distress, clearly annoyed with herself, and the situation.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 11, 2005 6:02 pm

Rules, smules. Picking everything right away was so much cooler than playing by the rules. Not that Vidya realized she WASN'T playing with the rules...usually Valen started the first bit. "Rock star? Ouuh...Pretty picture! Ack! Donnyyyy~" She giggled out, unsuccessful in her attempt to get out of the way of her dive-tackling brother.

When shown the card, Vidya closed her pupilless eye and squinted at the words below the image. "Mo...mod...mo-dell? Model! Model. Donny'sa Model." She giggled once more, finding the job placement strangely perfect for her giant shiney of a sibling. "Donny gets ta be all pretty in pretty clothes and get lotsa pictures taken of him and people playing with his hair!" She clapped her hands, congradulating him.

"Okay! Daddy go first?"

---

Enoh breathed a sigh of relief. Whether Alania was telling the truth, or lying to make her feel better didn't matter anymore; at least she assumed a positive outlook. Really, thats all the shifter wanted to hear at his point. She'd been about to thank the cabbit woman, but she was silenced as Alania began to speak once more.

What she heard was interesting...and now, more than ever, the cabbit had her complete, undivided attention. Things about Nio? Interesting. "Trust...that you're doing the right thing?" She started, her mind slowly peicing things together. "So...shunning him...was what you felt was best?" She spoke slowly, her voice questioning; she was grasping in the dark, but at least it made some, strange form of sense. Hadn't Alania tried to scare her away from Nio when she and the cabbit woman first met? Why did Alania shun him, anyway? Why try to keep him from getting close to someone? The curiousity just might kill the cat, but this cat knew better than to pry too far.

"What kind of mishap...?" Enoh started again, twisting the cloth between her hands. "What he's capable of...? I'm not sure what you mean by that, either...but..." For some strange reason, she felt the need to trust Alania. Her mind screamed that it was the right thing to do, and besides...Alania was a mother as well, something they both could share.

Not to mention Alania's son isn't as young as her baby, which meant the woman had experience.

Enoh sighed a bit. "I'm sure whatever happens...I can blame it on myself, on my own genes..."

Donny let his new position sink in, and a slow smile grew on his face. He liked the sound of that! He put his little car down and stood up, strutting around the room like a chubby little midget model.

And then he did something completely and utterly unexpected.

"Ahm. Too sexy for my shirt. Too sexy for my shirt, so sexy it-"

"DONNY!"

Donny turned around as his father interrupted his song, one that he'd heard on the radio lots of times, and frowned angrily. "WHA?!"

Nio slapped his hand to his forehead, and fell over onto his side.

---

Alania tried to fire off quick answers to the questions that were handed to her, before a new one would pop up. "Yes. Definitely. And don't ask me what we're capable of. That's just something I'm not ready to talk about yet. Let's just say you're not the only shapeshifter in this family. The only difference is, you can control it. And before you say it," She held up her hand to stop any words that may or may not come out. "I'm not talking about turning into a cabbit. I highly doubt you could ever think that option as dangerous."

Alania turned to look at the woman critically, before she pursed her lips and rested her hand on Enoh's shoulder. "Believe me, nothing is your fault. If anything, blame the woman who made us the way we are. Frankly, I'm surprised either of us are even fertile. I suppose you just can't stop mother nature from having her way, though."

Alania put down the glass she'd finished off, and stood. "Listen," She murmured as she headed for the door. "Just keep in touch with me, tell me if things start to hurt more than they should, or if anything odd happens. Honestly I wish I could tell you exactly what to expect during pregnancy, but.." She turned once she'd gotten to the door, and shrugged helplessly. "I don't have a uterus. I laid an egg."
PostPosted: Fri Oct 14, 2005 8:14 pm

Vidya stared at her brother as that slow smile crept onto his lips - she knew that look, he was really happy, and about to do something silly...wait for it...wait for it...There! The blue girl shrieked with laughter as he started singing to a song she'd heard in the radio. She didn't know what it meant, but it was awfully funny to see Donny walking and singing it! The girl kept laughing even as Adonis got in trouble, tears starting to form in her eyes. "YAY DONNY!" She laughed out, rubbing the tears from her eyes.

Oh, she should babysit Daddy more often!

---

Enoh nodded slowly, silencing herself though it was quite obvious she was still FULL of questions. A slight grin formed on her lips then...of COURSE she didn't think changing into a cabbit was dangerous...she often considered welcoming home so she could cuddle with a ball of purple fur like she had the first night they met. The fact that he would be naked when he transformed back was a definate bonus. <3

"I was just saying that if worst came to worst...that'd be what I'd have to do." She stated softly, patting the hand that rested on her shoulder. Not that she wanted that to happen, naturally...but now that she knew there was a bit of danger to this entire senario. The shifter wanted to go back in time now; for ignorance was bliss, as they say. At least Alania predicted a good outcome! And like previously thought, that was really all that mattered.

"Well...I don't know how badly things should hurt...but if it gets ridiculous...I'll give you a call." She reassured the other woman. However, her expression turned to confusion as she mentioned not really knowing what to expect...but how could that Be? Didn't she have---oh. Well, that made sense, Laying an egg wouldn't really give you too much insight of---Wait. Egg!? Her expression dropped into an almost comic double-take. "Oh...well...uhm...I'll let you know...?" Gaia sure was a strange place...

Enoh sat where she was for a little while longer after Alania had left, looking down at her now visible tattoos. She didn't have the time to put the special effects makeup back on, and she figured now was a good of time as any to start accepting that they were there for good. When she was ready, she stood up and went upstairs to rescue Nio from the Tales, to show them her markings, and summarize her meeting with Alania - Only leaving key details out.

Baby Joys! Or Pains. Or Both. Haha.
October 17th, 2005

Dear Diary:

My god, everything's been so hectic lately! I can barely keep up, not to mention get ANY sleep at all...I suppose, if there's one thing I regret about being pregnant, its that I can't seem to sleep like I used to. Which is a pity, I LOVE to sleep.

Anyway.

I figured this would be interesting to document, but I have tattoos. I must've been hiding them on my own or something, because I didn't even know I HAD them! It was really scary, waking up one morning with these blue designs on my face and body. REALLY scary. I managed to hide them with special effects makeup because I didn't know why they showed up, but I kinda think its because I'm pregnant. I figured this because since the tattoos showed up, I haven't been able to control some of my shapeshifting abilities; mainly my hair. Let me tell you...it is THE MOST annoying thing in existance. Its tough trying to talk to someone while your hair slowly changes colour or grows longer. I wake up every morning feeling like a different, but still pregnant, woman! I digress. Either way, the hair and tattoo thing showed up a few days before I finally went to the doctors for feeling sick...and found out I was pregnant! Dr. Tara estimated about a month or two into it (HOW come I never noticed before? Ah well), which was about when those tattoos showed up.

And its because of my hair and tattoos (I stopped hiding them after a while, because I figured out why they showed up) that people are starting to question me! Its really hard to hide that I'm a shapeshifter when my hair keeps changing and I suddenly have tattoos. I might have to keep the tattoos to avoid further questioning, though. But in the end, thank god, questioning my species ALWAYS ends up getting pushed aside when whoever it is I'm talking to starts prattling on about my belly and how happy Nio and I must be.

Ack, another downside to being pregnant; Ya gotta use the bathroom a lot! Just a sec.

Ooohkay back. Anyway...

Which we are! As much complaining I have done about how bad being pregnant is, its only a speck of dust when compaired to how amazing the entire thing is. I mean...its our first BABY! I know the house is filled with adoptees between the two of us...but having a biological one is a completely different story. I love my kids and all, but this one's special, because its inside of me. I can feel it move, I can feel it grow...and I love it, dispite how often it may keep me up at night. I'm also pretty sure I can feel its energy...kind of like its soul, you know? Its growing stronger by the day, and each day I can't help but feel blessed that we're both alive and healthy, considering what Alania told me...and although Nio doesn't know what Alania told me (a secret is a secret!), I'm sure he feels the exact same way as I do.

Aside from the bliss and pains of being pregnant, I've also been doing a LOT of reading about it: I want to know whats happening all the time; what can I say, its my body, don't I have the right to know whats going to happen to it? Some of the pregnancy books I've read are...scary to say the least, but As long as Nio's with me, and since he is with me, I really don't worry about anything thats going to happen; it'll be worth it in the end!

I don't think I've been so careful in my entire life than I have since I discovered I'm pregnant. When I got married I stopped doing mercenary work, and did paperwork and office work for the same company instead; and now that I'm pregnant, I've completely detached myself from that company, severed any ties I have to it (aside from the pension. Its a REALLY pretty pension!) just incase something should happen...which it very well might. I've been thinking of opening a restaurant instead to keep me and some of my kids, especially Mieke, occupied. Kind of like a family-run thing, you know? I think that'd be completely awesome. But I don't know what Nio would say. He might like it, he might not...not that I've asked him about it yet, I haven't quite decided if I want to myself or not.

AGH I KEEP DIGRESSING. Bad Enoh, Bad!

Bathroom break!

I don't know WHY I announce that to my journal. Oh well.

Back to being careful. I've been watching what I eat, when I sleep, what I do, and whats around me. You can't be too careful when you're pregnant! Well...unless you wrap yourself in a bub--Digressing again, sorry. Being this careful would probably drive me insane if I didn't want everything to come out absolutely perfectly. Unfortunately enough, I did slip one time...but I landed on my butt, so I really don't think that would hurt the kid in the end...just my butt. I'm just lucky that alone time with Daddy is okay'd, even encouraged, by the books. ^-~

Uhm...thats really all I have to say at this point...maybe I'll write more later, maybe not...in either case! Iva needs to be fed, so I better stop.

Chao!

-Enoh

I am quite the hypocrite. Here I am, giving my little Harmony a journal to write in because I felt silly doing it alone, and yet I haven't touched mine since I got it! Well it's better late than never, I suppose.

I wish I could sneak in and peak at Enoh's journal. I haven't the faintest idea what to put down in here, and the phrase 'my thoughts' is a tough one for me to work with. My thoughts do not usually form coherent sentences. If I attempted to write a journal entry that reflected my thoughts, it would probably look something like this:

-tide's in, should go-
-why isn't Donny-
-left the oven on!-
-love her so much-
-we out of carrots?-
-Beautiful day-
-Mmmbop-

..Needless to say it would be useless. So, instead I'm going to attempt some coherent information, and jot it down for the sake of saying I tried! Here goes.

I've finally adjusted to the fact that Enoh's pregnant. It's always been something that I just couldn't fathom, almost like it was too far away to touch. But now, there's no denying it. Her stomach's round, and it's just.. just.. so cute.

Is it wrong that I find her round tummy cute? Well too bad, I do, and no one's going to read this but me, so I can be honest. It's adorable. It's like a little buddha tummy attached to the most gorgeous woman alive. And I'll admit it.. I rub it.

It really is a good thing no one's going to read this..

So, in that adorable round tummy in that adorable and beautiful woman, is housed an adorable little growing baby that I supposedly fathered. How is this even possible? How can I really be here, at this point in my life, when if you asked me just a few years ago if I would ever have children, I would most certainly think it an impossible dream? It took me a while, but I narrowed down the answer to that question into one single word that explains it all.

Enoh.

My wife is a miracle worker.

So, now that it's finally starting to sink in, I've been doing some things to keep me occupied and prepare. I built a crib for the baby, mahogany finish, some crude hand carved detailing (I never said I was an artist..) and this little.. hangy.. thing. I didn't build the hangy thing, I bought it at the store, it plays music if you wind it, and it's supposed to help lull a child to sleep. I don't know, it was cute.. it had little sheep hanging from it.

..Why am I writing about this?

Well, let's try not to get too specific. What else.. I met another father to be the other day on a chance meeting. It's odd that I keep meeting guys that aren't... how can I put this.. well there's no nice way to put this. They're brutes. They don't respect women the way I was brought up to. But all in all, they always end up being nice guys to hang out with. First there was Popion of course.. and I don't think I'll ever trust that man with my wife. Recently I was assaulted by a man named Seeno, who may or may not have been blind. He was drunk at the time, and destroyed my groceries, but at least he bought me new ones! And it all turned out well in the end, because when we went back, there was a sale on produce, and I stocked up on carrots. Who could ask for anything more?

Okay, maybe it would have been nice if he hadn't tried to jam his tongue down my throat in the middle of the street. But otherwise, good guy. A bit of a problem with alcohol.. but all around good guy. I'll probably see him again soon. Us dads-to-be have to stick together.

Speaking of dads to be, I know Prox's egg hatched a while back.. I should go see how he and Arri are faring. I know they were proud as pie to be fathers to be, after all.

But back to our family. Donny's being more of a brat every day, but he's been too busy with his new sister (who he considers his pet) Harmony, to really cause any trouble. Vidya spurted up recently, and now we've got a little blue Smurfette child running around. I've briefly considered putting up bars on the windows, though I'm unsure as to whether it's to keep Vidya in, or keep her 'friend' Tybalt out.

And lastly, Enoh looks more beautiful every day I see her. If the doctor hadn't told us that it was not only safe, but encouraged to.. well, you know. I think I would shrivel up and die. I love her. So. Much. In fact, just thinking about this has my heart hurting so bad that I've got to stop here and go find her. I hate to cut this short but.. duty calls. Rather, it yells.

Glancing furtively around, Pave approached the door. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a little bag. Setting it on the doorstep, she rang the doorbell and quickly dashed away.

Inside the bag is a small music player:

There is a note which reads:
Note
Dear Enoh and Nio,
Congratulations on your pregnancy! The little music player is sort of like an MP3 player. Just hold it in your hand or something and think of the song you want to hear. It should play out of the speaker, so you can set it down when the song starts.

Good luck,
Pave.
