User Image. . . // . . . RΛIN was caught off guard, and a bit flustered. She had not recovered her composure from verbally sparring with Blood and Frost, and so was still a bit off-balanced. Even more disconcerting was the fact that this stranger seemed to be quite genuine, which is very unnerving to someone who always suspects treachery. If you sense no treachery despite being sure there is some there, it leaves you worried that the person you are dealing with is good enough to outsmart you and hide their menace, which is extremely dangerous. Rain sensed no treachery from the petite cat-woman. For a moment she wished that she had invited one of the Dream Guardians from the café along.

I’m just being paranoid, she chided herself, Blood got my hackles up, and now I’m jumping at shadows.

She looked over the stranger again. She was armed, but that made Rain less nervous than she would have been if she had seen no weapon. A killer running a con to fool unsuspecting victims into trusting them then waiting until they were alone to strike would probably not display a weapon. And the most powerful and dangerous Shapers did not need weapons – weapons were merely props, crutches to lean on – the real power of Shapers was the Shaping. And when it came to Shaping, Rain was far more adept than the average Dreamer; if this stranger planned to wait until they were alone then attack Rain with a sword made of Dreamstuff........ the stranger was going to be in for a nasty surprise.

I’m still doing it, she mentally kicked herself again, looking back at the café to the ones that had gotten her so wound up, There’s no reason to assume any danger here. Except.......... why is she so afraid?

“To tell you the truth,” she said softly, still looking back at the café, “I can’t really blame you for not wanting to go there.” She looked back at the cat-woman and shrugged, “I just left there, after all.”

Then she turned to look around the Dreamsphere, twirling a strand of hair with her finger, “But I don’t know what good I’d be as a guide. I’ve never been here before either. I had the café recommended to me by someone else. Of course, now that that’s out of the question, I don’t know what else is available here. I was just wondering if I should walk around and explore or go to another Sphere.” She looked at the cat-woman again, “You’re welcome to join me either way.”

"Thank you, ~nya~" Sora replied, somehow less nervous than before, having met a person that seemed nice. "Oh, this sword is called Tsuki, ~nya~.. well its full name is 'Tsuki no Tsu Nami', but its such a mouthful that I prefer to just call it Tsuki. ~Nya~" Sora gives this riduculously childish grin, as if carrying a sword that is named was perfectly normal.

((yes, she is adding ~nya~ to the end of each sentance.(i think thats what the American versions called)))

"Same old same old. I've proven myself to be a reckless guardian, battling Night Mares by myself whenever back-up is slowing in arriving. And yourself?" Frost speaks with no hint of superiority, and is honest in actually caring, even just a little bit, about Alara.

Alara smiled and giggled a bit. Frost hadn't changed much in the past years since she had seen the woman last. It seemed that her initial impression of the woman was spot on. Which caused her no end in amusement.

"I see. Well I'm glad you are still around. It seems I was right about you. When I first met you I thought to myself that you were going to be a reckless one. Always defying the rules when things took too long or didn't go your way," she said kindly with a smile.

"Well like I said before... I've been recovering. Just started venturing out into the world beyond my own dreamsphere. I didn't even have the power to leave it until recently. That is how badly I was injured," she stated. Although Alara said it without any remorse, regret or sadness, it still pained her that she had taken so long to recover.

"Well, its impressive you recovered this fast, considering how badly hurt you looked. Maybe one day you'll even be strong enough to become a guardian, if thats a fate you wish for yourself." She says, with a dark inflection behind her tone. "You seem to be a good judge of character, perhaps you could be of assistance to the Dream Guardians even without power."

User Image. . . // . . . RΛIN looked at the girl with a curious expression. “You named your sword?” she asked, raising an eyebrow, “You don’t...... talk to it....... do you?” She thought for a second, “And even more important, it doesn’t talk back does it?”

“Well,” she shrugged, “It’s really nice to meet..... Tsuki....... You’ll have to pardon me if I don’t shake..... er...... hands.”She looked down at her hands, “I don’t carry any weapons. And....... uh....... I haven’t really named any parts of my body....... not names that I’d share, anyway. So, I suppose I shall just have to introduce myself. I am Rain.” She waved awkwardly, still looking at the sword, “And I don’t mean to be rude – you seem like a very nice....... sharp instrument...... but I would rather we didn’t get too close. I bleed a lot, you see, so – but please don’t take it personally. I am sure that one day you will meet a lovely battle-axe or something similar.”

Without warning she leaned in close to the cat-woman. “Just to be certain: your sword really doesn’t talk, does it?” she asked in a whisper, “I’m just making a fool of myself introducing myself to it, right?”

"Fast? Seven years is fast?" she inquired a bit credulously. Alara thought seven years was quite a long time herself. Maybe to a guardian it was fast, but to her it had taken years to just even summon the power to use a vortex let alone make any adjustments to her dreamsphere. At least now she could leave it, but that had taken quite some time and also quite a bit of finagling of her powers. She had even had to retrain herself in them once she had gained enough energy.

"I could try I guess. Though I wouldn't know what use I could be," she replied after some thought about the offer. "What would you have me do?"

Sora laughs at Rains question. "Of course it doesn't talk, and I don't talk to it. Oh, and my name is Sora. It means sky..."

"By that, I mean it could have killed you, or left you powerless for over ten years. The fact its only seven years later is impressive. Few would have survived. As for what you would be able to do to help us, just keep an eye out for people who behave even weirder than normal, or someone that acts suspicious, or breaking of the law." Frost seems to feel something, as she looks around suspiciously. She doesn't see anything, so she shrugs it off as paranoia.

"Oh... I um..." she stammered and blushed feeling a bit foolish from her earlier response. "Well when you put it that way... then yeah I guess it could be seen as impressive..." she trailed off and looked down at her folded hands.

"I thought it was a long time, especially since... well in the real I was nearly catatonic for quite some time..." she said softly. Although there was the law about not talking about the real. It only specified that people couldn't talk about events or technology or years or things that could influence others depending on what time frame they came from. However, talking about how she had been really damaged didn't break that law.

"I could try. Not sure what to look for but... I could give it a go. But how would I get in contact with you or one of your agents?" she asked. Though she knew of the Gaurdians and had met only a few, she had no clue as to how to get ahold of one. Something she had yet to learn and she hoped it would be Frost she dealt with. The woman... well the woman had a profound effect on her. One that she was uncertain was mutual. If it wasn't at least they could be friends if not just business associates.

Frost thinks for a moment. "We can arrange meetings here. If you have a need to cantact me, then leave me a message here at this cafe, with the shadow-owner. Or you could risk using a little Lucid Dreamer powers in a townsphere, and hope I'm the first one to arrive.

I'll leave a note with the owner of the cafe in a few days with other(safer) ways of communication. Until then, just keep your eyes and ears open, okay?" She smiles kindly, to sound less commanding than her last sentance was. She winces again as pain races along her injured arm, which she'd leaned on a few seconds ago.

"That works," she said softly. "Meeting here I mean..." she smiled gently and pondered for a bit. "I'll leave a note. I'm not too keen on facing another Night Mare or drawing attention to this town sphere for Night Mare's to devour. I kind of like this place," she replied honestly.

Frost's smile made her blush and look away for a moment to get herself under control. When Frost winced, she got up and moved over to the Gaurdian.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" she asked. The woman wasn't sure if she could do anything for a Gaurdian but she wanted to help. At the very least she could try and use her powers to heal the woman. It was an idea but she didn't know if it would work.

"Its okay. It'll heal in time. Thank you though." She stands up, and gets ready to leave. "I'm off. Its nearly morning where I am. So for now, farewell." With that, she gives Alara a little flourish/bow and turns. She walks to the ouskirts of the townsphere, then she creates a Vrertice, which she then enters. It closes behind her almost immediately after she enters.

Alara sighed and shrugged, as Frost left. Making her way to the nearest Vortex, she opened it and headed back to her own Dreamsphere. She had to get up soon anyways to go to work. Perhaps she would find something else to do tomorrow night.
