Basically, if you've read the summary, you know there's three main factions to the story. (It'll be two soon though) So, it depends what side you want to side with.
The Dark Side (lawl) and the Rebels (we have the ex-campsite in the knorth forest and then misc others running around either in or heading towards the water kingdom).
If you want to be part of the dark side, you make a character (normally dark but can be other) and make up a reasoon he-she has defected to the darkside if their element wasn't already, or vice versa for rebels. Then you just find someone craving for attention and "coincidentally" bump into them xD Or basically, just introduce your character in the dark kingdom city somehow and someone will eventually try to come over to interact with you.
Now if you wanna be a good guy or neutral, part of the rebels or whatever, you start out as a nobody and you have to work your position in the group (like Shane gettin a lil Kinky Kinky with da Earth Lady >D) Apparently, Jade says if you wanna be a "good guy" (or not a baddie at least), make all your charas head towards the water kingdom, he seems to be planning something. Alternatively, you can somehow meet up with the three groups heading towards the Water Kingdom.
Crystal and Seilynn (heading there somewhere between light and dark kingdom O_o;;?)
Rebels Group (Knorth Forest)
Flint and Arya (Water Kingdom)
I think there's also someone else in the Light Kingdom still, not sure
Someone back me up on this please ^^;;;;? Well, I'm sure that's enough to get you started though. I think it's morning for hte rebels and still night for the darkside. Although, I imagine it'll probably be morning-midday by the time that Raph and the Water Queen get to the Dark Kingdom, this kinda transition can't take only a few minutes, lulz xD
