Daven slept for several hours, and when he woke he was completely refreshed. The three hours he slept, was longer than he normally slept, but it was much less than most would have slept given similar circumstances.
He had been arranging things in his mind and he was now happy with what had happened. It was done, and there was no undoing it. Something had changed though, and now he knew how the Vizards felt. Those who found this power in their hands were not to blame. Those who sought it out were still lazy in his opinion, but he could empathize with the daily struggle to keep from falling over into the overwhelming temptation of power.
He would have to be very careful.
So, he got out of bed, pulled on a few clothes, worked out for an hour, just to loosen up his muscles and get the blood flowing. And once he was done with that, he sat down at the table he had in his room.
First thing first, he wrote a note to the three tailed kitsune in charge of the Grand Library of the Kitsune requesting ALL texts dealing with the Zaigou, not only factual, but fiction, speculation, biography, all of them. Once that note was done, he sealed it with his reiatsu, put his personal family crest on it and sent it off with an air elemental to take to the Library. He knew that it should be sufficient to be loaned copies of the texts in question, and they would be the ones to find the proper entries.
While waiting, he took out the journal he had started when he first discovered this power. He spent several hours writing everything that he experienced, thought, saw and more. He noted what he had gone through, what happened, the mental and spiritual changes he had had occur, and all of his speculations. He filled half the book in that time.
By that time, a package had been delivered to him. He opened it and found several texts dealing with the Zaigou. With this he started reading and researching.

It took several hours, but he finally had more than he knew.
Apparently his execution of one of his own started a chain of events that lead to this point. The trauma of having to do that execution apparently broke the Berserker loose in his soul, and the hollow slaughter only compounded the problem. According to the texts he read, he had done it backwards. Many stated that contrary to how Daven did it, the way it had been done by others was the slaughter first, then the execution. This acted as if the cliff face had a fire built at the bottom of it, fed so that it kept heating the rock to a higher and higher temperature, and then finally the execution acted as the water thrown on the cliff, breaking and shattering the rock.
The Warrior in this apparently acted as a Guardian of the Zanpakto. The danger was strong enough that it was possible that the Inner Hollow could lose control and take the power of the zanpakto. There were already bonds there since the zanpakto was made out of Daven's spirit in the first place, any personality or entity sharing his soul would also share those connections.
As such, there needed to be an external (or would that be internal) guard to stand between the zanpakto and protect it.
The interesting thing is that all the pieces working in concert were much greater than the sum of the parts. Each of these were taken out of his soul, his mind, his reiatsu. The Warrior was him, the Berserker was him, Kidorui Genso was also him, all of them were his soul. But this kind of power was no where near being available to him when he wasn't "broken", but now that he was shattered, there was a synergy among the group that so far surpassed the total it was awe inspiring.
It was tempting to see how far this progression could be taken. However, this would not be an experiment he would be conducting.
But the down side of this breaking meant there was a weakness between the parts. It meant that it was possible for one part to dominate the others and take over. And at that point he became a danger to everyone.
He was going to be keeping Kazi in his mind so that if this ever became a problem, he could be called upon. Kazi would be his ace in the hole, the failsafe.
But there was a flip side to this same coin. It was theorized in one text that the Zaigou were created by the Gods to keep the checks on the Vizards as well. The Vizards were easily just as dangerous for many of the same reasons, and since they were working WITH their Inner Hollow, instead of guarding against it, it was even more dangerous.
He noted all this down as well, to make a complete record of all this. It did very little good to others if there was no real record of what was happening. Hopefully Daven's record could become the first. He made sure to put down the references he used and to cite his sources.
Once he was done with all that, he cloned the book again and then once more to give copies to others. One copy would stay with Kazi. The other would go into the Library in the Sereitei. He made sure that they all were linked together. He tried to modify one of the copies, and they refused to be altered, but Daven's master copy could be.
He wrapped up the references he used and sent them back to the Kitsune library. He made sure copies of the relevant passages were in his journal, and that they were in context.
All this took an incredible amount of time. Since he had not been disturbed, Daven assumed that orders had been left to leave him alone until Daven emerged from the room.
He stood, did some stretches, flexed his cramped hands and looked over his work. Nearly a week's worth of work and research done in just a few hours. He was pretty proud of this.
He made sure that one of the Hell's Butterflies took the Sereitei's copy of his journal back to the library, and then he made sure that Kazi's was ready to be archived here.
He sighed deeply, got some food and a few drinks, then relaxed again.
