She nodded. "Plague. Did you hear what happened? The lab was taken over. I wish I had been there. I used to have nightmares about that place. And I wished I had the 'good' doctor's blood on my hands." She looked down at her hands, smiling a twisted smile.

The bag was heavy in her hands be the time Artemis got back to her small one room apartment over looking the city. She hid the bag under her bed and quietly changed into her civilian clothing. Yawning Kimmi counted out the cash for her rent. She dropped it off of her way out of the building and was back on the street in less than five minutes. Kimmi Watched the side walk beneath her feet as she walked towards The coffee shop her Land Lady owned. The shop was not very busy when Kimmi arrived the girl at the counter looked bored and Kimmi Knew what would help brighten her day. "Jess!" She greeted the girl by name. And her eyes shimmered with resignation. "Hay what's up Kimmi?" Jess asked and Kimmi put her hands on the display case. "Can I have...." Kimmi scanned the pastries for her favorite cookie. Finding it gone she bit her lip. "A small cup of coffee?" The girl nodded and handed her a paper cup and lid. Kimmi walked to the coffee pot and poured until her cup was half full, the she filled it the rest of the way with milk. Kimmi smiled before ripping open five packages of sugar and pouring them in one by one. then she squirted in a fourth of the honey container and stirred the cup gently. "thanks Jess." Kimmi said and slipped a twenty into the tip jar before the girl could notice. Then Kimmi took a seat a few yards way from the only other two customers in the shop. She wanted to listen to their conversation,

"oh I know...I started the whole breakout idea amongst the other inmates...I knew we could take the guards, the 'heros' would be abit tricky but a vast amjority of us would have escaped...as you can guess I got out...and I'm sorry about killing the doctor in place of you but I knew they'd try too make more heroes and we couldn't have that now" He said. He spoke so casualy of it, like he was talking about the weather or something unimportant.

Rebecca shrugged, the smile disappearing. "As long as something was done. The world doesn't need anymore heros." She took note of the girl sitting nearby. "I was wondering if I could be part of your little group."

"I don't really have a group, after the escape I broke all ties with the others" He said. He adjusted his tie abit "I now run a criminal oranization...quiet the step from mass murdering isn't it?" He asked.

"T%^here is little need to worry, the explosion was rather small and confined. If you wish, I will go and see if everyone is alright?" he asked. "Oh! Call me Mimetic." he said, extending a hand. "It's a nice day, hm?"

"follow me then" He said. He walked out of the shop then into the alley way beside it. He raised one hand, several of the tendrails came out of his sleeve and planted in a lerge oval in the side of the cafe, the tendrails pulsated and darkness began to form into a oval. first a single line of darkness moved from each tendrail and converged at one point, then the spaces between each line was filled until it was completly shaded in, then the energy began to swirl. he offered her his hand. "Please hold on tight, otherwise you might end up several hundred feet in the air above the park...and I'm sure you'd raather avoid that kind of situation" He said.

"hold on tight...and close your eyes if you get disorented easily" he said. He lept throught the portal pulling her with him, the portal closing just as she passed throught, there was no sign they had even been in the alley way. only seconds later they appeared in the shadow of a large oak tree in the park. "we're here" He said letting go of her hand.

"Please just call me Kogi" He said. He walked over too a small flower garden and picked a red rose. "I only really like one kind of flower" he said and touched a finger too a petal, the rose began too become covered in black, eventually all the pedals were coated making it a black rose. "...black roses" He said.
