Shimofuri nodded as she smiled until the comment about ice cream. Her ear twitched, and she glared at Nefir. "Do not compare me to... ice cream. I am a cupcake! I am not ice cream and never will be ice cream!" she said dangerously with a growl in her tone. Being compared or mistaken for ice cream was the biggest insult he could ever give her in her eyes.

Nefir blinked, genuinely puzzled at Shimofuri's sudden anger. "What's wrong with ice cream? Some ice cream is great! Like.....uhm.....like pistachio!" ^^ He still couldn't understand what he had said to make her so suddenly and severely angry. "D-don't you like ice cream?" oO

Shimofuri looked away. "No... I don't like ice cream," she mumbled as she turned around and puffed out her cheeks in her childish fit.

Nefir resisted the urge to reach out and poke Shimofuri's inflated cheeks. "Well, why not? Is it some kind of sweet rivalry, since you're cupcakey?" He spoke in jest, but was beginning to wonder if tehre might be some truth to it.

Shimofuri continued to pout as she grumbled, "It's not a rivalry if I'm better than it." She folded her legs in and crossed her arms over them, before placing her head on them.

Nefir chuckled. "You remind me of a human I heard once: 'It's not showing off when you're the best.'" He looked slightly concerned and tentatively poked her. "Aww, don't sulk. Cupcakes are fine. After all, not everybody can eat ice cream; sensitive teeth and all that."

"Well that human was right, cause it isn't," she said as she lifted her head some from where it was set on. She looked back at him. "I'm not sulking." she said before standing up and stretching. "So, are we going to the mountain tops or not?" she asked, attempting to change the subject.

Nefir saw the change in subject for what it was, but couldn't resist one last little jab. "Anything you say, cupcake." Before he gave ehr time to react, he turned and sped off, screeching to a halt several feet away. "Uhmm.......which way is the mountains again?" XD

Shimofuri was about ot say something to Nefir before he got up and ran off. She smirked as he soon stopped, not knowing the direction. She walked over to him and pointed to her right. "There should be some mountains over there, you can see it in the distance." she said as she put her hand down and began to walk that way.

Nefir beamed and couldn't help but be overjoyed that the rocky road ( xd ) regarding ice cream was momentarily overcome, and he began to skip towards the mountains, slowly getting less and less eager the further he went. "They sure look far away; how far away are they? Will it take us long to get there?"

Shimofuri smiled as she skipped with Nefir towards the mountains, their shapes slowly growing bigger and darker. She looked down at him and smirked at his question, replying, "They would be larger if we were anywhere near close to them."

Nefir scowled and ran ahead. "Well, c'om mountains!" he yelled. "Hurry up an' get here!" As if in answer, the ground began to get rockier, and slightly steeper. Nefir yipped happily and began to run up and down the steepening slope. "Look at that! Even the mountains do what I say! I am the mountain king!" His gallavanting caused him to trip on a loose stone and before he knew it, he was half buried in loose rock. "Ouch." XP

Shimofuri sped up to keep up with Nefir, and easily kept her balance on the steeper, rockier ground. She was about to agree with him as he tripped and fell, and she back flipped over the falling rock. She perched on a strong one a little further up and crouched down to wave at him in the pile below with a smile on her face.

Nefir shook the dust out of his ears and climbed out of the rubble. "Rotten ol' mountain, tryin' to bury me." He mock-scowled at Shimofuri and clambered up toward her. "I'm coming, I'm coming!" He struggled until he was beside her. "Say when are we going to see any-" A snowflake drifted out of nowhere and landed daintily on his nose. He peered cross-eyed at it before shaking it off. "Snow." ^^

Shimofuri continued to smile as she called down, "Haiyaku!" She watched Nefir climb up to where she sat, and waved at him again as he got there. She pointed at the lone snowflake and hummed, "I think I just found some, but lets go higher so we can find more!" She then jumped onto the next ledge and waited for him to follow.
