amari very in the negitive form. totemo, is very in the postive as in not very much, as in: amari suki janai. i don't like it very much and totemo suki da. i like it very much.
i think the word you want is yoku, which means often. tho you could say amari yoku oyogimasen. i don't swim very often ^^, well, i think you could say that... i'm not 100% sure
maybe just. oyogu ga suki, demo, yoku dekinai. i like to swim, but i ofen can't go. ^^

i think "amari oyogimasen" works there, "amari yoku" sound too contradictory, and you can't used "yoku" with the negative form.
"Zenzen" would be the most negative, indicating that you never do it.
I'll need to consult my textbook, but I think there's a form where you can say you don't do something but you should, or that you wish you could do it more.
