I'm only a professor because I kind of have to be.
I chose divination because it is the easiest to teach, and I can be as weird as I want.

lol Yea, divination does give you some leeway as far as personality quirks go. ^^
I was actually going to RP another teacher since we could use a few more, but I'm out of emails to use for accounts at the moment and since my other accounts are named specifically for the characters I use with them, it would be odd to roleplay with those accounts.

I have three students and a teacher.
Raina Claudry is me, she was my first and original character, I wasn't going to bring her into this guild but I changed my mine. My other two characters are kind of taken up at the moment.
So I brought her back. I used to Role play with -m a c a r o n i e - using Raina a lot, so I was heartbroken to find out that she quit.

I love teaching Divination, I have several new ideas to put in place once we actually start roleplaying at school.

I have the same. Three students and a teacher, that is.
Beck was my original from the old guild and I loved her, so I brought her back. I've been roleplaying my other two accounts a lot more than Beck lately, though.
I picked Astronomy because I just took an intro course last semester in college. xD I've got homework questions and lessons and such planned out somewhat. They just need to be revised.

No, Ruruka isn't new. She just added another character.

Astronomy was a tough class, but interesting. The hardest part was the physics of it, Kepler's Laws and such. I loved the star gazing part, though.

I have been here since...
Early April I think...Yah, around there. I was so excited to come back to a HP guild.

Stars. How wonderful is that.
I just am not too good at math.

I might make another character... I don't know.
I haven't posted in the actual roleplay yet. I think I'll wait till they get to the carriages.

Waiting would probably be a good idea since the Express ends tomorrow. ^^ It'd be hard to try to jump in and wrap up a post all at once.
--------------------
There's hardly any math in astronomy, so you're good. ^^ I'm not so hot with math, either. The only math I can actually remember doing is calculating magnification, which is a simple equation, and converting coordinates, which we didn't even work with really.
Learning the constellations was definitely my favorite part. At the time when we learned some of them, Saturn and Mars were both out, as well. Saturn was in Leo and Mars was in....hmm, can't remember. It was just cool to be able to look up and say, "That's Auriga, and that's Cassiopeia, there's Taurus and Pleiades, etc." I can't find them right now since they've moved over the past couple months, though, and it's frustrating me. xD

I can find the simple ones, Vega, and the seven sisters. We live in the perfect place to see the stars.

Vega is actually one I don't know how to find. xD Polaris and Sirius I can find, though.
Unfortunately, my house is surrounded by trees with a circular hole in the middle where my yard is. Not the best vantage pont for star gazing.

My mom wanted to be an astronomer, but she is horrible at math. Like 6th grade math.
She can tell you where the stars are.
My mom taught me where Vega was after I saw Contact.

I know this doesn't fit anywhere but since this is the chatter thread, I'll just put it here.
I FOUND A FORESHADOWING!! I didn't even look it up on the internet! I was just thinking about the fourth book and mermaid song had been stuck in my head for days and I finally figured something out!
At the end of the song it goes 'the prospects black too late, it's gone, it won't come back'
IT'S A REFERNCE FOR SIRIUS FALLING INTO THE VEIL!! Ah ha! That made me feel so smart.
And if it has already been discovered, don't tell me. I'm just happy to know that I figured something out for myself for once without using a book or the lexicon. xd
