"Ah, well that's all that matters then." If what she guessed was what his words meant. So long as the parents had that initial tie, that bond that couldn't be replaced. That's the only way she could describe the word love. So close yet so different from friendship. It was a crossroad that the mare was confused with, seeing as she had crossed it blindly before.
Eyes gave a blink in realization, and she glanced up. The raindrops had stopped even though the sky was still a blanket of gray. "Excuse me, Rokhan." She stepped shyly from the bushes, before trotting out to the open scenery they were just viewing. Again she shook out her tail, some mud and twigs clinging there like usual. She scanned around and a small smile grew on her lips. Perhaps it was the electric energy in the air, but she always felt giddy after a rainstorm.
And now there was actually someone there to share it with. Sumi glanced back at Rokhan with a grin. Maybe he'd be up for a stretching trot? Oh, but. She remembered his thoughtful expression earlier, and she walked back up to him. "Did you plan to leave now? You must be curious how your herd held up."

The stopping of the rain and Sumi's immediately noticiable happiness brought a broad smile to Rokhan's face, and he stood to follow her. As she turned and approached him, he got the chance to fully appreciate how beautiful a mare she really was. Stretching his muscles as he moved slowly in place, he looked out at the stretch of grass that led towards his home.
"They be a strong group," he said lightly. With a slight leap, he moved past Sumi with a chuckle. "How'd you like t'be goin' for a canter? T'enjoy the rest of the day we've got."
The truth was that he was a bit curious as to how his family and friends were, but they'd been through storms before and he knew they were fine. He'd much rather spend the day with Setsumi.

Teal eyes lifted to the other curiously, wondering if he too was in lighter moods after storms. He sure looked like it, and the tusks even helped to lift the corner of his lips in a cheery grin. The mare twitched as he skipped by, her energy buzzing to life. Normally there was nothing to do with it, and that energy would dim to a lulless bore. But now? There was something calming in the air and someone to make use of the time with.
"Sounds good then. Just know I'm not the most agile mare around." But a canter sounded wonderful now. Her black hooves sloshed in the slick muddy earth as she paced around. "Heh, you lead the way! You're much easier to keep focus on in the gray scenery." That red mane of his would help her keep attention of just where she was walking as she was likely to glance around as they walked.

Shaking the last bit of wetness from his mane, he stopped to watch Setsumi and couldn't help but chuckle again. It was amazing to him how happy everyone always seemed once a storm was over. Like thunder storms were the spritits way of saying, 'reach out and touch someone.' A common grounds for soquili and two-leggers alike to get together, whether to bond with loved ones or form new bonds. Reflecting on both, his face took on a softer edge as he moved closer to Setsumi. "That be fine," he said lightly in response to her gracefulness. "I'm one t'be leapin' and prancin' about."
With a wink and a cautious nudge he moved out farther into the open grasses and took joy in letting the peeking sun settle onto his back.

Hm? The mare slowed to a stop in her walking, her tiny ears giving a flick at the other's laugh. She recognized it well enough now to know it was lighthearted and earnest, but she was still confused by their origins. "What? Do I have berry thorns in my tail?" Teal eyes flicked to her tail for a moment, but was unable to see anything there.
Ignoring her own question, she nodded to Rokhan's approval. She might even find the need to prance herself, as if the rain itself had seeped into her pores and demanded release in a good gallop. Even now, her knees seemed to twitch with foreign energy. Smiling as she was nudged, the mare took off after the male with her tail like a blue ribbon behind her. Everything was so....refreshing. The moist warmth in the air, the vibrant scents of all the plants drifting openly, and the soft thuds of the soaked earth. This was one of the rare moments that Sumi felt free and jittery enough to be herself. Without concern to the outside world.
