byakuya senkai That cat noise in the basement of sh2 scared me too but mostly the guy in the prison you were talking about. I heard the voice and I just froze and dropped my ps2 controller in fear. ( I think the prisoner is saying ritual and according to some sights that is what it is) I think that is the only time I got really scared enough in the series to drop my controller. Most times when I get scared in silent hill games I just hold the gun out and start cursing and saying to myself. "Where is it. ****. Where is the monster or pause my game and chuck the controller across my basement whenever I get one of those jump scares. What's also scary is when you r trying to be stealthy and avoid the monsters by turning your flashlight off and sometimes the monsters walk right past you or you see them continue to walk up and down the hall or street. The Lying figuresnin the labrinth do that when I turn my flashlight off and it is scary. But the absolute scariest thing to me is seeing the frozen manniquen in the hallway in the appartment right before the battle with PH. I just exited the room and froze in fright ( forget what I said about only freezing in that one part at the prison.) And the manniquens on the streets of SH oh god that's even worse. I have trouble going to sleep at night and turning on lights after confronting a maniquen. ( scariest monster... ever) The 'prisoner' is quoting ritual you say? Interesting, I wouldn't mind knowing more about that. It sounded like it was backwards to me. Kind of like they just played the voice part backwards, I thought it was really weird and creepy.

I really don't remember any noise like that at all, backwards or ritual sounding stare I have to play this again....

Yeah, one of the prisoners is saying "Riiiituuuaaaaaal" You'll hear it if you're listening for it.
As for my fear scenes: The hallway between the Twin PH fight and Mary/a in Silent Hill 2. That one conversation..it just sends chills down my spine.
Silent Hill 3: The wheelchair before the SMG and the bloody footprints with crying in Other-Church...not to mention any scene with Valtiel and ms. Fukuro.

I haven't played silent hill 3 yet. Mainly because I cannot find it at any gamestop or any other store I go to in my local area. stare But I have seen some walkthroughs and gameplay of it and I must agree with you. The bloody footprints in the otherworld church scared the crap out of me too.

I think the elevator in the hospital basement in SH3 (the broken one) scared me a bit b/c you werent sure what would be coming out of that thing, if anything did come out at all

Being on the elevator in Homecoming when that monster cuts through the walls, even though I was expecting it from movies I had seen beforehand, it still made me jump. sweatdrop

ZenWolf65 did you know you can see Walter through that peephole? i heard you can and i saw a video showing it Another creepy thing is the kitty in the fridge in SH4. yes i knew you could see walter but i never found him creepy and at that point in the game if you have never played it before you just kinda wonder who this wierd guy is since he has not been introduced to you yet as walter also omg that cat i will never open a fridge in a game again thanks to that

I was creeped out when I woke up in henry's apartment and I was already getting hurt by a haunting... it was so sudden I paniced.

lessee....from Homecoming, i think a creepy part for me was when a Schism just suddenly grabbed me and tore me in half. i totaly didnt expect it

There were a couple times they almost got me, cuz Im so use to playing games where when you clear an area they stay clear.... Homecoming had a lot of reoccuring enemies which was new to me.

Yah the new horror movies uses a lot of computer techniques, so it doesn't seem scary to me. Hmmm, danny was one of the 'person' to have really scared me and made me jumped while playing silent hill 3. I was cursing at danny and silent hill game when that happened. XD
