"I'm already big enough." he said, grumbling to himself. "It's no big deal for me. I can handle it." Yes he could. He could go wherever he so pleased. The Minders didn't have to worry about him. They were all busy-bodies anyways. Nosy too.

"Almost!" Fjord replied with an almost eagerness, but when Rainbowchaser/Sly spoke, he couldn't help but to glare at the Shadow. Big enough by himself, huh? He was such a liar! The runty aberrant shifted on his paws. "But it wasn't hard, gettin' out here." He added hastily, almost as if he was trying to show the good for nothing bully up.

"Big bird? My big bird?" The rather young pica blinked warily at the aging sentinel and there seemed to be confusion blending with the terror that had been clouding the companion's beady little eyes.

"Hmmm," was her response to the fledglings' answers, "Getting back to the platforms shouldn't be a problem then. And I think I'll give you two a special big boy lesson when we get back. We shouldn't trouble the minders with this since you obviously think you are big enough to take care of yourselves."

The Pica couldn't just be left out here either, but Granny was not sure what to do with it. A companion almost always belonged to someone, but her experience with the Mystics and their strange Pica was limited. Perhaps it would be best to take it back to the enclave and see if anyone there knew who it belonged to.

"Come with us, Pica," she said gently to the terrified little bird, "Can you fly?"

Sly sank at the prospect of getting a lecture, and regretted saying he was big enough. Grumbling, he turned and shot a glare at Fjord. “This is all your fault.” He hissed at him, making it clear that he had made an enemy in the small Shadow. Turning, he flew off, at least showing he could say the truth once in a while in that he could fly to the platform.

"I can make it, ma'am!" Fjord replied hastily, feeling somewhat disheartened, though he refused to appear so before the aging Sentinel and the Shadow that he would so clearly be at odds with even far into the future.

"What kinda lesson?" He hooted curiously before taking off after the small Shadow, making it to the platform.

"Can you fly?" He mimed the Teacher and tilted his head slightly as he regained some sense of being. He understood her question and lifted his slightly tattered wings, flapping them slightly, then launched off of the branch in an awkward hop-skip. For a moment it seemed he would careen towards the earth below, but he managed to catch himself and fluttered hastily near the old "big bird."

((OOC: I'm going to godmod a tiny bit and assume that they follow without too much fuss to move things forward more quickly.))

Granny led the two stray fledglings back in grim silence, and told them to wait on the platform in a voice that gave no room for protesting. She was only gone for a few moments. Long enough for a hushed conversation with one of their regular Minders and then with another Minder that usually didn't tend to the bigger fledglings. Since they were sitting in the middle of a platform in the busy enclave, with the eyes of a lot of Minders on them, there was no room for fighting or bickering.

"Now follow me," Granny barked as she got back, and just as quickly adapted a gentler tone of voice when turning to the slightly worse for wear companion, "The Pica can come too, poor thing."

She led them across platform after platform, through the enclave. Quite a humiliating walk since everyone could see them come and since it was fairly obvious that Granny was Not Happy.

"Here we are," she said sternly, stopping outside a hollow. Distinct peeping noises came from within.

Having this sort of attention was something Sly didn’t want, but he knew better to argue with Fjord when so many Minders were watching him. Instead, he sat still, featers puffing out of being humiliated in front of everyone and worry about what would happen to him. He could only imagine what horrors someone like Granny was talking about to the other Minders, and he wondered if he would be better off flying away. He always wondered about running away from the Minders, but right now seemed to be a prime time.

When Granny returned, he lowered closer to the branch. It seemed his bravery was anger fueled, and he had lost his cockiness in the face of punishment. Without objection, he followed along with Fjord behind Granny and in sight of everyone. He was always getting in trouble, and this time it was Fjord’s fault. That and the little Pica that was following them. He wanted to shove it off the branch and watch it drop. Food didn’t deserve to be treated this way.

When they stopped, Sly looked ahead and then up to Granny. “What’s here?”
