Eden cast him a forlorn glance. "What good would it do? " She said.. her voice a mere whisper, the words slipping out before she could stop herself.
Glancing down, she grew quiet. She had tried numerous times but every time her father would look upon her with his gentle smile, she found herself freezing up. When he was so happily in love, how on earth could she tell him that she hated her- the one he loved so dearly, yet who was also her mother?
It wasn't always this way. At one point, she loved her mother as any filly would. But when she found out her mother had strayed, she couldn't help but to be angered by that fact. He had loved her, but been thrown away for another stallion. She could not forgive that! Her father deserved better and when she told him so, he had gently shook his head. Sometimes, mistakes happen, he told her. You'll understand when you mature. Helpless to reply, she could only lower her head in shame.
But even now, she did not understand.
Shaking her head softly, "It's a family problem. Even if I were to talk to someone else, what good would it do..?" She repeated once more.
