(The door is not constantly open, just like in the show you have to go threw 12th squad or be using the emergency door in 3rd... but to answer that. its a valid reason so just ASK and well let you threw. Also Gigai are not just sitting by the gate, all it is is a gate, squad 12 keeps them elsewhere so people cant just leave...)

Coming from Unaharu's bar in the ninth squad, Ky whistled a happy tune for the first time in a while. That whole ramen fiasco allowed him to reassess his stand on the entire matter regarding his hate towards shinigami, and as a bonus, he got pictures of scantily clad Shihouins in his digital camera. All in all, it was a good day.
Ky walked up to the soul gate and saw that it was closed off. It was Maxi's work, no doubt. Ky tilted his head down and snickered quite a bit before looking on at the soul gate once more. "Maxi, you belittle my abilities too much." said Ky in a mocking tone of voice and brought out his Philosopher's Stone.
"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return..."
Saying the first line in an alchemic phrase that he once heard from some anime, the Bount walked up to the gate and extended his hand which bore the stone as it shone with brilliant light.
"To obtain, something of equal value must be lost..."
Ky's stone grew even brighter as the gate which was once closed suddenly flew open as if the immense power of the stone forced it wide open.
"That is the law of equivalent exchange."
With that, the Philosopher's Stone which Ky had broke into pieces and turned into transparent crystals, drained of the energy which once gave them power. With a heavy sigh, he entered the gate and back to the human world. Although he lost a stone, he was now able to go back to create another one. An equal trade, indeed. Walking along the dimensional rift that linked the two worlds, the door slowly closed behind him with Ky's walking visage as the last thing one could see before it completely shut itself.

Yuki walked through the gate, with Fefnir's bimbo headed gigai-mod-soul-rentals in tow. It looked air headed and stupid as she dumped it off at the entrence so some of the squad members could pick it up later and recycle them for someone else to rent. She dropped her own gigai off in a corner where it would be left alone until she needed it, and let Robin out of her bag so he could head back to his bar in her squad.
She exited to Fefnir's squad to meet up with him.

Bullene let out a huge sigh as he returned to Soul Society. He clearly remembered the way back. He shunpod off into the direction of his childhood home (The Temple in Squad 7 Forum).

Kuraime wandered into twelfth squad, warily casting out her senses--she was never really comfortable with the unfamiliar, and she'd been in the Twelfth Division before.
But she needed to get to Earth as a favor to Rhia-taichou. She had to find someone. Kurai arrived at the gate, drawn to the high levels of power and the void-like feel it produced.
Pulling out an official-looking missive that granted her access to the gate, she waited for the gate's operator.

((Not if you captain has approved it. they can give you a gigai but i should be on every day to check this And i will be checking with captains about access...)

[ok--this is something littlebick asked me to do in a PM, rather than in the RP, but you can still ask her, if you'd like 3nodding anyway, since no one stepped forward to outfit me with a gigai, I'll just make it up with an NPC, k?]
No one stepped forward to accost her, so Kurai moved towards the gate. Of course, she was gigai-less. She paused, rocking on her heels. This would be her first trip to the human world, so she wasn't entirely sure how to go about obtaining a gigai.
Luckily a somber 12th Division squad member appeared at that moment to help her out. In a few minutes, she darted through the gate, small gigai in tow.

Fefnir walked into the area slowly, his gigai in tow, and put it on one fluid motion put it on as he stepped through the gate.

Both Fefnir and Iu stepped out of the gate into the Seireitei again, then quickly exited the area and went to Squad 9.

Asuma appeared in front of the Gate, grinning widely, his eye patch over his right eye. Looking at the gate, he walked through, his heart starting to race. What he was about to do was almost, if not already, suicide.
