Marshmellow had learned by now that judging always resulted in her getting some sort of object thrown at her. And she did not like it. "Like Nurse Joy said, a bit too much trainer focus, but you recovered a bit near the end. And using the same story-telling thing like the last participant definately dulled down the effect...Your effects were decent, but I believe the audience didn't appreciate the perish song or blizzard much. Keep your audience in mind when you do an act, even if you were going for any 'creepy' effect. Perish song may not have been the best way to do it."

A six point five flashed on her panel.

"With a score of 20.5, Piney manages to barely top NayNay for a spot at the top four!"

Piney's picture was shown next to her score on the main screen. After a few seconds, the screen zoomed out once again to show the top four contestants: Lamen, Kira, Lenne, and Piney. Each still had the potential risk of being knocked out of their position, the contest was still only halfway through and anything could happen to topple over the top four.

"Now let's see if our next contestant can top any of these scores~Contestant number six, Sasu-chan and her meowth are up!"

At the call of her name, the bashful trainer trotted out onto the contest hall. Her eyes were gleaming rather wildly, and she had headphones on, the music cranked. Sasu-chan didn't care what others thought of her music style, as the music was indeed very loud, and everyone could hear it. It was very... strange, and sometimes Sasu-chan herself doubted her music. Oh well.

Gripping a red and black pokeball, the excited trainer flung the pokeball into the air, where with a simple call of her voice the pokeball opened, and revealed a Meowth. As happy as Sasu-chan looked the Meowth sure didn't look happy, and he looked like he was dreading this. Logic, as he was named, did not enjoy contests too much, and would rather prefer battles than doing these... things.

"Logic, use Faint attack!"

Obediently Logic went into action, disappearing, "... Use Fury swipes!" And when he appeared he immediately used Fury swipes, the strikes he had made had made his claws shine strangely.

Sasu-chan grinned eagerly. While Logic's claws were still rather... glitterly from that past move, "Now Logic, use Slash!" And he used one single claw to slash the air, which in effect to Fury swipes made it brighter... Which disappeared with a bit of sparkles, strangely...

Sasu-chan sighed, a bit nervous...

(I hope it isn't too short. ;;;;; )

Nurse Joy blinked in surprise and mild disappointment. That hadn't been as flashy as the others had... It had been simple and straight to the point. "While not as flashy as the others, it was nice to see something simple." But she felt she needed to take points off for the fact they worked well together, but it seemed a bit forced. "I think you and your pokemon should work more on trying to get his stage legs... Or maybe try to get him to accept the stage a bit better?" With a small giggle she pressed the button, a five showing on the screen.

"Not showy at all.
Needs more confidence and joy,
From you and Logic.
"

The professor said with a gentle smile before showing his score. Four point five.

"Huh..." Marshmellow yawned, pressing a button already. A five point five flashed on her screen. "Simple acts can have their charm, but...your act was definately missing something. And your pokemon needs to have a better stage attitude, an unhappy pokemon leds to a half hearted attack and an unhappy crowd. I know I was as bored as a slowpoke."

Luna winced at the low score of the act. Wow. Well, the harshness was kinda expected in the contest scene, especially with acts did were not too appealing. "That makes a total score of...15." Luna announced, unable to say the "15" too enthusiastically. It was a low score.

"Which means that Sasu-chan will, unfortunately, not make it to the final rounds. The top four are still Lamen, Kira, Lenne, and Piney~Unless our next contestant, Meeka and Ebba, manage to top them."
The curtains began to open again and Luna shooed off one of the crew members to call for the next contestant down at the basement.

Taking a deep breathe. A very deep breathe, Meeka stepped out into the stage. She wasn't found of dressing up. But since this was her very first contest and she was trying out, it was all worth it. For once, her hair was untied and combed. She wore a big puffy pink dress with an equally large pink bow adorning her hair. She looked more like a five year old dressing up for a birthday party than a wannabe coordinator. Stepping out onto the stage, she took another deep breathe before smiling. Throwing up her ball, Ebba jumped out. With the seal she had used, he came out like a mish mash of hearts.

Only adding to the cuteness she hated. Ebba stood brilliantly like a well...Stantler. He looked like he always did. Brown furred with his red and white scarf. After such an introduction, Meeka giggled and recited, "Bring Twilight to us Ebba! " she called as her Stantler obeyed and twitched his ears lightly. He slammed his hooves against the stage and a bright ray enveloped the stage. The light was faint, to represent the breaking of the first light of a day. As it sparkled and shined, Meeka nodded. Good everything was going according to plan.

Meeka clapped as she called again, "But the morning brings the most light to us all!" Ebba used Solar Beam up towards the ray of light and only brightened it more. The rays almost came off as blinding if one were to look straight into it. Ebba was doing grand. The light really did almost represent the sun.

Meeka giggled. "But not all light last forever!" she spouted as Ebba used Psychic. Biting off his scarf, he whipped it up using Psychic and dismissed some of the light from the stage. Showing a thumbs up to her Stantler, she spoke again. "And before we know it, night reaches us with its presents. Just another end to a wonderful day...." Ebba used Shadow Ball up at the light and the blob mixed with the light. But with how little light, the Shadow Ball became more fierce and blackened it out. Ebba quickly jumped up and caught his scarf as he trailed back to Ebba, trying to be unseen in the darkness. "And so we bid you adieu!" Meeka said, pushing back her bow which toppled some of her hair over. "Till the day when the sunlight meets you again!" She finally said. Her chest was heaving. She was still nervous even during the performance!

When the curtains finally covered her and Ebba, Meeka yipped. "You did a good job Ebba!" she giggled as the applauding and cheering from her act made her jump on the inside.

She felt a bit bad by the end of the performance, the girl had tried so hard but it just had not caught her attention! She had smiled through it all, the girl was quite adorable, but it just wasn't up there with the others. "It's hard to grab attention when your new to the stage, or have a vague idea of what your doing, every coordinator goes through that." Not that she could tell if Meeka was new or not, but it was just a friendly thought.
"Something was off about your performance and I wish it had attracted more of my attention. But please don't give up." Smiling as sweetly as ever, she pressed the button and gave her score. A five point five.

Feeling his gag reflect acting up, the professor coughed lightly into his hand. He wonder what possess some of these trainers to overly sugar coat their act with poofy dresses and accessories. He was sure there was a way around all that and still look presentable.
"I am not too sure what you were trying to accomplish today.....I think you need to work a little more in your performance and into getting your idea across. It was...an interesting attempt."
The screen flashes five.

The outfit Meeka was wearing immediately reminded Marshmellow of her youngest sister cosplaying Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew. It was a bit too pink though. "Well, I'm glad someone's actually using seals but the hearts did not go well with your stantler. It was like mixing poop with frosting, brown just doesn't go with pink."

A five flashed onto her screen. "The story telling is getting a bit boring by now, your actions during the performance did nto show professionalism, and it pretty much sucked."

((There were also a lot of strange mistakes like "Ebba quickly jumped up and caught his scarf as he trailed back to Ebba, trying to be unseen in the darkness." I also had no idea what your attack was for the "twilight"
Please proofread at least one time over guys. ^^; ))

"The scores aren't doing too well, huh?" Luna asked the crowd with a small chuckle as the large screen displayed the total score of 15.5 next to Meeka's picture. The trainer took a deep breath, trying to calm her nervousness. There was only two acts left until the first round of the contest was over and she REALLY wanted the contest to be over. Announcing just wasn't Luna's forte.

"It looks like Lamen and Kira now have an assured place in the second round, but we still have two more acts to go~Next up is also another new coordinator with her skitty: Mae and Anakin~!"

Mae's Contest Entry
This was it. Their big moment. Mae's heart fluttered a little as she heard her name called, glancing down at the Pokeball clasped between both of her hands. They'd practiced this routine over and over again, dozens of times just to get it perfect. And all that came down to this one moment. But she had confidence in her Skitty, and knew that Anakin wanted it just as much as she did. Her clasp around his Pokeball only tightened as she began her way out onto stage with what she hoped was a warm, confident smile.

"Here we go, Anakin. This is it." she mumbled quietly, in a hushed voice under her breath as she made her way towards the centre of the stage. She'd watched practically all the co-ordinators already - she was the penultimate one. And they'd all been amazing. But, luckily for Mae, she was confident that she'd be just as good. The only thing that haunted her mind was the first performance - someone had used Earthquake and Ice Beam and shattered it into some beautiful sparkles. But the judges hadn't been too impressed - and their act involved mostly sparkles and reflections. Maybe the control would impress them? With a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach, she gave a small, polite nod of greeting to each of the judges, then to Luna, and positioned herself at the back of the stage, in the centre. It was show-time.

She threw the Pokeball up into the air in a graceful manner, not calling out a single word. She didn't need to, with the amount of practicing they'd done. And the entrance was one of the thing's they'd concentrated on most, seeing as it was the first impression, and majorly important. The Pokeball soared high, before finally cracking open with a brilliant red light, which shot down towards the stage, beginning to form the shape of a Skitty. However at precisely the right moment Anakin released his first attack - that of a Water Pulse - water rushing out from underneath his feet, engulfing him as the red light faded, still giving the audience no sight of the cat-like Pokemon. Mae grinned - perfect! She felt pride welling up in her chest, and they were barely into the routine yet.

"Skit~!"

With a cry, the water splashed away from the Skitty, leaving only the attack in the form of a dimly glowing blue orb of water, positioned just before his nose - this was the part that you'd usually shoot at an opponent in a battle. But this wasn't a battle - it was a contest. And so Anakin held onto the orb with a cute expression. His coat was scatter with small droplets of water, but he wasn't soaked through due to his control over the Water Pulse. Mae had brushed and primped the Skitty just before the Contest, and he looked just perfect. Immaculate.

"Follow up with Iron Tail!" Mae called, knowing that the important part of the routine was coming up. But not quite yet.

Anakin gave a cute squeak as he backed away a little from the orb of water, which stayed in place. His tail began to glow a dim silver as he crouched, preparing himself. And then, all of a sudden, he leapt into the air, higher than one might've expected of a Skitty. A somersault followed, allowing him to hit the ground with his tail first, which of course was the point of the attack. He came down hard onto the orb of water, slamming his tail straight into the top. The orb, instead of splashing everywhere, seemed to shatter into hundreds of droplets of water, which flew into the air around Anakin as he managed to stick the landing, all four paws elegantly landing on the floor after the Iron Tail. He was still using his control over the Water Pulse to keep the droplets floating in mid-air - something he'd only recently perfected. But he wasn't done yet.

"Flash!"

Here it was - the key combination that Mae had thought of herself, and was immensely proud of. But timing was crucial. Anakin's tail, which was still glowing a dim silver from the Iron Tail, again lit up with a bright light - Mae had trained Anakin so that his tail was where the Flash attack was produced, rather than anywhere else. But this Flash attack was different - it wasn't a brilliant white, blinding light that emitted from the Skitty's tail, but instead a beautiful, sparkling silver light that was much easier on the eyes, stemming from the glow of the Iron Tail that Anakin had kept in effect. This light was captured by the droplets in mid-air, reflecting all over the hall, coating it in a translucent silver blanket of light. Mae grinned - he'd pulled it off perfectly! All those hours of practice had so been worth this one moment. But she couldn't focus on this for too long - she still had to finish up.

"Finish this up with Wish!"

Anakin gave a small mew, his tail still glowing from the previous two attacks. However, it was the three strange 'balls' protruding from the very top of his tail which began to glow much more brightly, as if they were using a true Flash attack. And then, all of a sudden, something seemed to shoot across the room of the contest hall, a sparkling golden trail following it - a shooting star? Anakin gave a small bark, and all of a sudden the star that was the centre of the Wish attack burst into hundreds of glittering sparkles, which began to shower the stage, shooting through each of the droplets that were still in mid-air, creating a mesmerizing effect as the sparkling Wish attack reflected off of the even tinier droplets, which were now too small for Anakin to control, so fell to the stage. However, whilst the audience and judges were observing the finish, Anakin's tail faded slowly as he turned around, bounding back towards his trainer quietly. Mae was counting on their finish to keep the audience's attention so they wouldn't notice Anakin turn and run towards her. With a leap, he landed in her arms, and she then helped him onto her head, where he posed cutely, Mae holding her arms out with a grin as the Wish attack finally began to fade, revealing the pair behind it in the big finish.

Mae held the position until the Wish had completely faded, and for a few moments afterwards, until she finally allowed herself to relax and breath a sigh of relief, jerking her head forwards so Anakin fell into her arms with a surprised squeak. She grinned, gently tickling the Skitty's stomach as he also seemed pleased with himself, wriggling about with merry mews.

"Perfect, Anakin. Good booooy..." she cooed gently, gaining purrs from the cat-like Pokemon as she finally turned her attention towards the judges. She was half dreading and half anticipating what they'd say - but whatever they scored her, she knew that Anakin had done his best, and there wasn't anything else she could ask for than that.

She had been pleasantly surprised, to say the least, having not really gotten her hopes up since the last two performances hadn't really been all that spectacular to her. This one was quite good in her eyes, though she wasn't sure it could live up to the top performer's show yet.
"I was very happy with your performance. A lot more focus on the pokemon as well. Those move combinations were really thought out." Not to mention she hadn't seen the move called Wish yet. It had been a treat. Pressing the button before her, she gave the girl a seven.

"Not bad." Marshmellow concluded, an eight flashing on her screen. "Your attack moves and combinations do have promise, but the ending was a bit overdone and a bit common in the contest stage."
