Jessica watched sadly as the other men were lead away, she shook her head gently as she heard gun shots and had to watch her own men getting lead away. When she was lifted to her feet she started to try and lashed out violently against the men who were holding her, she only really succeeded in exhausted herself completely. She allowed them to just dag her up onto deck, she watched as her crew were looked over and she felt tears welling up in her eyes, they were all good men and they deserved more than this.
Jessica was proud of her men as they stood silently and accepted what was done to them, they stood tall as they realised that she was watching them and she looked away from them, she had got them into this.

 Tristan KaneThe man looking over the girl's crew raised his brow and then went to speak with Tristan. Who's crew is this? Where is the captain? Which one? The man was curious indeed, but payed the bounty to Tristan either way.
Tristan smiled at the question, The captain of these men is dead. She went down with her ship. As Tristan said this his first-mate carried the girl into Tristan's quarters were one could still here the conversation outside.
"She?" The man was shocked.
Tristan replied with a smirk. "Yes, a woman as captain."
"And you say she went down with her ship. Honorable."
"Yes. I suppose so." Tristan accepted the bounty and the other man left the ship leading them all away. None were shot.
Tristan then entered his quarters and looked at the girl with a sigh. "You're lucky. I gave you some honor. Now you won't be remembered as the first and last woman captain to lead her men to their pitiful demise. Now, you're the only one who will have to know."
Tristan raised his hand and another crew member entered and took a sack of gold. "For the ship." He stated plainly and gave the other bag to another member of the crew. "For the crew." The man accepted the bag and gave a large grin. The first-mate and the other crew member sat the girl on the ground, with her legs she would not be moving any time soon.

Jessica sat silently on his floor tears streaming down her cheeks; it had been so hard having to watch her men being sold like cattle. She looked at the strips of shirt tied around her knees and she ran her fingers over it, this had been Jay's shirt. She whipped at her cheeks hard as Tristan entered and she kept her head low, she would kill him one day, kill him and track down her crew again.
Slowly she removed the makeshift bandages and looked at the whole in her leg, she winced as she ran her fingers over the open wound and wondered if she would ever actually be able to walk again, she really hoped that her boned hadn't been shattered.

Tristan KaneTristan looked at his map and moved his compass from one end to the middle area. He then turned back to look at the girl and saw the wounds in her legs. He then called for his first-mate and asked about their situation.
The Legacy will be ready to set sail in 32 hours. The man said and then left to attend the men as were Tristan's orders. "As for the woman, sir"
"According to my report, she is dead." Tristan looked her over once more. "She's lost everything. I suppose she is ready for you to tend to her legs." He left his quarters and looked out at his crew working. "Let's be ready in 24 hours, yes?" His men cheered with new found excitement. They were all ready to be back at sea. The first-mate looked at the woman and left her with another crew member. He then returned with bandages among other medical supplies. "I'm Leo. May I tend your wounds?"

Jessica looked up at Leo with watery eyes and she nodded softly, "Thank you," she said in a soft shaky voice, she looked away from her legs and stared at a wall instead, if they had to remove a bullet she knew it would hurt a lot. "My names Jessica," she said as she felt her legs being touched gently. She was going back out to sea but this time she was not the number one person on the ship and she was unsure how easy she would find it having to do a she was told.
She wondered if her father would hear that she was dead, she wanted to know how he would react, she really hoped he wouldn’t hear she was the most important thing to him in the world and she did not want to think how he would react if she died.

Tristan KaneLeo had tended to Jessica's wounds. Don't thank me, thank the captain. He just saved your life. No one would want to buy a pirate woman with broken legs. You would've been shot for sure -and then what would've happened to your crew?" He put alcohol over the wound and cleaned them. The captain had shot straight through her legs and not damaged any vital nerves. After examining and cleaning the wounds he wrapped her legs properly.
"I don't know your crew, but I know we would be utterly lost without the Captain. His strength gives us all hope. I'm sure just knowing you're alive, gives your crew hope too." Leo helped her onto a chair and gave her some water.
Meanwhile Tristan was helping his crew repair the ship. "Good work men! We will be back at sea in no time. His men cheered for there was nowhere they would rather be.

Jessica hissed as the alcohol was put onto her wounds, she felt herself tense up before she relaxed, she smiled softly and nodded, "I really hate the thought of having my life indebted to someone," she laughed a little and shook her head gently.
"I really would like to think that how my crew feel, but it’s hard to tell sometimes," she smiled grateful for the water and drunk the whole glass, "sometimes I can't tell if they respect me because I am a good captain or because of who my father is."

Tristan KaneLeo smiled and took the glass of water. He poured her another glass and handed it to her. "Being injured has made you thirsty." Leo then grabbed a chair and set it opposite from Jessica with his own glass of water.
Tristan barged in with a large grin on his face. "She's ready! Let's get on our way!" He smiled as he patted Leo on the shoulder and then tapped his desk as though he were knocking at a door. Leo looked surprised. "Already?"
"Of course! My Legacy is a strong ship, she is ready to be back at sea. This harbor is driving the crew mad. Land is not a place for my men, but punishment. Go! Let's get going, shall we?" Leo grew a large grin and jumped out of his seat. "Yes, sir." He then rushed upstairs and could be heard yelling orders.
"Well everything seems underway, " Tristan's attention was then turned to the girl. "and how are we doing? I trust that you have been properly tended to." He then took Leo's place in the chair opposite from her.

Jessica sipped the water this time with a soft smile, she nodded gently and felt herself relaxing a little, as soon as Tristan walked back in she could feel herself tense up one again and she kept her eyes to the ground, she watched Leo leave and only looked up at Tristan when he sat down opposite her.
"I'll live," she said and nodded, "Leo is a very nice man," she said and sipped a little more of the water, "so, why did you save me?" she asked in a forced calm voice, "why are you keeping me on your ship?"

Tristan KaneTristan gave a large sigh. "Yes, Leo is kind -and probably the most skilled member of my crew. He deserves his own ship but is so very loyal, he chose to be my first-mate." He watched that she was still tense.
"Yes, you'll live -and how ungrateful you are." He said this plainly as a simple statement of truth.
"I didn't save you. I sunk your ship and sold your crew. As for why I am keeping you on my ship? Simply because this ship is the only place where you are still thought of as a living person -and you intrigue me." Tristan looked at her inquisitively.

Jessica finished hr water and blinked softly at him, "Umm, I intrigue you?" she asked looking deeply confused, "how so?" she asked and blinked at him again wondering if he was just kidding, leading her on to just laugh at her later.
She thought back to her ship and she felt tears in her eyes again and she hung her head quickly so that she could hide it, she frowned softly as she tried to fight back against her tears hard.

Jessica smirked softly, "Impressed are we?" she asked as she raised an eyebrow and she folded her arms, she leaned back in her chair looking at him quite smugly unable to help herself, no man had ever admitted to being interested in her before.

Tristan KaneTristan laughed at her new found confidence. "I said intrigued, not impressed." He smiled and leaned back in his own chair.
The ship jerked slightly as it pulled out from the harbor. The Legacy had set sail once again.

Jessica smiled and nodded gently, "Well if there is anything you ever need to know I am sure you will be able to find me," she said and looked away from him. She looked back at him with a soft smile, "I am sure you will keep me somewhere you can always find me."
