Arduinna bit her lip. Obviously she hit another nerve on him. "Um...well...I'm sorry if that was offensive. My mom tells me not to pry into others lives too much especially on personal matters, but..." She trailed off for a second. "Well I don't know actually. I just ask stupid questions sometimes."

Arduinna looked up a bit. "Yeah, but you didn't look too happy and mom always told me don't say anything that could hurt another pony." She sighed. "But then I'm hoping I can live up to her expectations so that I can one day be wise like her."

Arduinna lightly blushed. "Um...yeah...thanks." She then looked up at him. "See? You are a really nice, sweet, and wise pony yourself! I don't know why you appear so shy or scared of others. Is it fear that they would disagree?"

Arduinna looked at him then up towards the sky. "Well those who leave are just losers." She then looked down towards the ground. "You see...we had so many ponies leave us in the herd and they disappeared and went off with someone else. However the worst one was with Lydia the ghost pony. She was with a demon called Spooks and he ended up leaving her and never coming back." She sighed. "It's sort of sad, but I never experienced that."

"I....I don't know if I was left... or did the leaving... I just know...I'm alone...and I'm afraid being lonely would.... would hurt more if I had a time...where I wasn't...that I could remember...." He whispered, a shimmering tear rolling down his face.

Arduinna sighed and went over to wipe his tears away with her tail. "I'm sorry. How about we not talk about this then since all it seems to do is bring you pain?" She looked around the area. "Well how about I take you deeper into the woods? There's this one place my mom showed my dad when the first met. It lightened him up in an instant." She motioned at him to follow her.

He hesitated then nodded, standing so he could follow her, still sniffling a bit.

Arduinna led him deeper and deeper into the forest. Eventually they came to a clearing. It was really dark, but there were blue luminescent butterflys all over the place on the trees. "This is the area I was talking about. It's really nice and I know you would love it." She smiled happy to see the place again since she hadn't been having much time to do so.

He stared wide eyed at the glowing blue butterflies. "They.... they match me..." he whispered, awed.

He pranced into the middle of the field, staring wide eyed at the butterflies as they flew around him. One landed on his nose, making him giggle softly. "Hello," he whispered to the butterfly, just before it took flight to join the others, but one landed on his tail, and he twisted to see it, face filled with joy and wonder.
