One of my favorite songs from them is Monolithen Des Todes. Might not suit your tastes that well though... she knows them, she suggested them to me biggrin Haha, that's good then.

Not sure if I'm a little late to jump on the recs bandwagon, but I'll try anyway.
Novembre - "Materia"
-Just got this album a few weeks ago, and I love it. They're a bit like an Italian version of Opeth in the prog/death sense, but more melodic and with less death vox.
Orphaned Land - "Mabool"
-Highly original band from Israel, their style is almost impossible to pin down. Death, prog, power, acoustic, and lots of Middle Eastern folk instruments and vox. Great if you're looking for something different.
Eternal Basement - "Nerv"
-NOT metal, just so you know. It's slower tempo ambient trance. Easy to listen to and pretty relaxing...good "fall asleep on the plane" soundtrack.
