] Abiba squeaked and whimpered as the Delibird cast her a ice-cold glare. Ears flattened against her head, the Pikachu scooted backwards until she was up against the trainer's platform.
"Pikachu pika......" The battle had just started and the little one wanted to retreat already. Heck, she wasn't even sure of what to do!
"Okay Abiba! Just listen to what I say and everything will be fine, okay?" Jen smiled at her beloved Pikachu. "If things get really bad, we retreat, okay?" A sheepish smile can as she spoke. "Im sure Aeon wouldn't like it if he found you at the Pokemon Center."
"Chu!"
"Okay, Ready?" A nod and sparks flew from the pokemons' cheeks.
"OKAY! Let's start this off with a bang! Use Thunderpunch!"
Thunderpunch...? OH! She knew that! Daddy had been teaching her how! Concentrating, Abiba focused for a moment and gave a cry of joy as electricity gathered around her fist. With a determined expression, Abiba instantly bounced forward with her fist held out in punch-like motion. Unfortunately....she had her eyes squinched shut; so, Jen wasn't even sure if the attack would hit or not.

Bell dodged the worst of the attack, but some of the crackling electricity shocked her as the pikachu went by. Bell clicked her beak angrily; her beautiful feathers! They were all messed up! And it was so hot on this field...
"Mud-Slap!" Renekai commanded, feeling guilty at the same time. The move was super effective on electric types, and Abiba was so little...!
Bell looked around, but there was no mud to be found. Instead, she hurled some sand. Hey, it would work, it was still a ground attack, even without the water...

"ABIBA! Jump to dodge!"
Hunching down slightly, Abiba waited until the last possible moment and sprang upwards using her powerful hind legs and flipped through the air before landing on one of the smaller sandstone pillars with the grace of a small dancer, managing to successfully dodge the attack.
"YAY! Good job!" Jen pumped her fist into the air. "Let's try....OH! I KNOW! Thunderbolt attack!"
"Pppppppppppiiiiiiiiiikkkkkkkaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!" The pikachu charged up and let loose the powerful electric attack towards the Bell.

No you don't, Bell thought grimly. She burst into the air and made a complicated movement, managing to propell herself backwards and out of harm's way. Landing again, Bell quickly used water pulse on the sand; the ultrasonic waves mixed in creating mud. Now, that was a better way to have an effective Mud-Slap.
Without waiting for the order, Bell grabbed two foot-fulls of the gritty mud, then flew at Abiba, who was still on the pillar. Once she reached a decent height, Bell flung first one pile of mud, then the other, in quick succession, aiming at Abiba's head. Bell remained airborne, wanting to be sure that her mud hit.
Renekai was biting a finger nail now, feeling more guilty than ever, even though Bell had acted of her own accord. "Please don't hate me, Abiba," Renekai said softly. Abiba was the darned cutest thing in the world! It would be awful if she hated Renekai, who luffled Abiba to bits, along with the rest of the world.

"PIKACHU!"
Abiba whined and cried out as the cold mud smacked her in the face. The mud quickly hardened with the heat coming from all sides, forming a type of makeshift mudmask over the Pikachu. Reaching up with her claws, she tore away the mud before glaring at the Delibird.
"Hey now! I know Abiba is cute, but doing a spa treatment during a battle? That's kinda mean, don't cha think Bell?" None of these words were aimed at Rene. Jen knew that Bell acted by her own mind. "Abiba! Let's do the shock therapy! Use Thunderbolt again!"
"Pika! Pikachu pi!" Charging up the attack again, Abiba bolted straight at Bell with a type of mock tackle. Except, at the last moment, Abiba skidded to a stop and launched the lightning bolts at the ice bird.

Bell was knocked from the air and fell with a resounding thump on the hot sands below. That was a harsh blow.
Renekai gasped. How could she have overlooked that Bell was weak against electricity, and that Abiba was perfectly capable of fighting? Well, this had certainly brought Renekai to her senses. No more Miss Nice Gal! That had really hurt Bell! "WATER PULSE!" Renekai commanded. Now they were really going to show Abiba! Water was effective to electricity, too. "Sorry, Abiba," Renekai said quietly to herself. "But I can't allow your cuteness to interfere with our battle."
Bell got up and shook her head, clearing it up. Her charged feathers stuck out oddly and sand clung to them. For a moment, Bell's purple eyes glowed blue, and in less than a second Abiba had several ultrasonic waves crashing down upon her.

Abiba squeaked and cowered as the ultrasound water technique hit her. Thankfully, the blow wasn't as harsh as it could have been. When the attack finished, the pikachu shook out the water clinging to her fur.
That attack worked very well, but using it over and over again? That would have been over-doing it. Hmm....then an idea came forth. Why not try another of her fathers' moves? Since Delibird was part ice.....
"JUMP UP AND USE IRON TAIL!"
Her tail stiffen and started to glow a white-silver color as it became as hard as steel itself. Crouching down, Abiba gathered strength in her back legs and bounced upwards before coming down, flipping so that her tail made first contact.
HP: 650/900
(Iron tail is effective against Ice types. http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/225.shtml It's a 2x attack. So...150 damage.)

((You should be at 600, Duel. That was 150 damage before, and then this should be 150 damage again if it hits normally.))
Bell fell back as the tail cut her. She was growing weary from the battle, and it was infuriating that the little pikachu was managing to beat up on her. Bell gave an angry cry and swooped up higher into the air, looking for a good aim. They were closely matched... Should Bell risk freezing Abiba so she might attack the mouse more easily? But if the freezing failed, as it might very easily what with the hot temperatures, Abiba would have a huge advantage... But another critical hit on Bell could ruin everything...
Bell glared and turned reluctantly to Renekai for instructions.
Renekai was resolutely staring at Bell. SHe gave a slight nod, then said, "Water Pulse." Renekai didn't like repeating attacks so many times, but what choice did she have?
Bell concentrated on bombarding Abiba with more waves.

(Water Pulse has normal effectiveness on an electric type. 83 So it's just 100 damage, right?)
NOT AGAIN! Abiba wailed unhappily and curled herself up into ball as the attack was launched. She started to gain a dislike towards water....
"I guess we gotta take out the big guns and finish this off quickly..." Scratching the back of her head, Jen pondered their next move. SHe needed something effective against Bell...shame Abiba couldn't learn Rollout.
AH well, might as well use another ace in the hole. "ABIBA! THUNDERPUNCH! Knock Bell into next Tuesday!"
Charging electricity into her fist, Abiba swiftly rolled towards and uncurled before throwing her punch into the barrage of water. Electricity bounced off the water and back towards it's owner while Abiba bounced away to avoid getting shocked.

((.... Darnit. I got electric confused with fire. DARNIT.))
Bell flew right through the electricity, wincing a bit. When she reached Abiba, she surveyed her with a cold glower. For a moment, the two pokemon seemed frozen in midair... Then Bell blasted an Ice Beam in Abiba's face.
Renekai started biting her lip again. This wasn't looking so good...

Abiba squeaked and held up her arms to shield her face from the blast....and was instantly frozen into a pikachu ice sculpture. Although her body could not move, you could just barely see her green eyes move from side to side with a bewildered expression.
"HEY! Not that's not nice!" Gripping the railing of the platform, Jen scowled at the Delibird before galcing at Abiba. Thankfully, the ice was already beginning to melt...

Renekai shifted uneasily, hesitating. Was another shot too much to ask for? Was it worth the risk? "Again," she said nervously.
Bell, beginning to feel the effects of battle, obliged. She charged up a beam of ice in her beak quickly, noting the fast-melting ice, and shot it down on Abiba's back.

Just as she was able to move again, Abiba once again froze. Just before she did, a tragic wail tore it's way out of her throat.
Jen sighed and hung her head, grimcing at Aeon standing besi-Wait. Glancing down, she gulped as Aeon glared back at her with his one good eye, tail thrashing rather....eh, violently against the metal of the trainer platform. The banging sound sounded like a gunshot.
"Um....ehehehehehe....." Jen did the nervous finger teepee thing as sweat ran down the side of her face. Great, just great! Aeon popped up at the exact moment Abiba got frozen on the battlefield.....Jen moaned and whimpered. She was gunna get it later on for sure.

Renekai's jaw dropped when she spotted Aeon. Not. Good. Dare she give the order when Abiba's father stood by watching, clearly angry? "I'm gonna be in a world of pain... Mud-Slap!" Renekai avoided looking at Aeon as she gave the order.
Bell dove at the frozen and helpless Abiba and hurled some mud at her; Bell had not noticed Aeon's presence, and even if she had, she probably wouldn't have cared. Bell only cared about getting her revenge on the sweet, adorable, vulnerable Abiba.
Hey, one day Abiba would perhaps become a Raichu. And Bell didn't like Raichus all that much, despite the fact that she had just had one as a teammate.

Aeon hissed at Bell as Jen laided on her side....out cold and smoking slightly from the Thunder attack she had just endured as punishment for sending his daughter out to battle!
Oh, if only he could go out there......A devil-like smile touched his lips at the though...
Looks like he was going to be a spectator from now on...or, since his human was currently knocked out..maybe he could play the trainer?
Abiba gave a muffled whimper as the mud smacked her again. Yet, there wasn't anything else she could do until next turn.....
