"thanks" Kira said, taking it from her youngest sibling. "tell Alice i said thanks too, and i bet it tastes better than it looks" she ran her finger around the edge of the cupcake, and then licking the icing off her finger.

Wyle nodded, then ran around the front desk. He gave his sister a hug, then scurried off again to the kitchen.

Kira sighed and then started to draw on her notebook again. he is such a baby! she thought, drawing Wyle with a baby like face, and in baby cloths. she looked at her piece of art work and realized she was starting to get pretty good.

Lily carried a large laundry basket in her arms. She was beginning her normal rounds through the hotel. She opened a door and began her usual routine of stripping down the beds, putting on new sheets, dusting down the room and changing the bathroom towels. Everyday it was usually the same thing over and over and it never got boring to her. This was her job and she liked it no matter what anyone else said about it and how little it paid her and how she could hardly provide for anyone.
"Just another day..." Lily wondered if she should have stopped by the kitchen before she started working, her stomach started to growl and she decided that it would probably be a better idea.
Lily packed up her cart and left it in the middle of the hallway, there wasn't anyone currently occupying the hotel so she wasn't worried that it might get raided or what not. She descended the stairs and quietly entered the kitchen, she didn't like going in there, she usually never did anyway but the growling of her stomach was getting to her.

Wyle saw Lily come down and watched her. He walked behind her, not saying a word. She was heading towards the kitchen anyways, a nice little excuse to walk behind her.

John stood there looking at the sky. It was quite boring today but it's usually like that anyway. He looked out far, north, south, east, west and sighed. There was no sign of anyone coming.

Once Wyle got in the kitchen Alice dumped food into his arms. "Take this to John." she told him.
Wyle grinned, "Why do you keep feeding him when Joel's more qualified a taster?"
"I need to cook for unrefined tastes too." she gave him a quick noogie. "Now go!"
Wyle nodded, hopping over to John. "From your girlfriend!" he chimed, holding the box of food out to him.

Joel smiled briefly as he saw Lily enter the kitchen. He did not see much of her in here and so he generally tried to be nice to her. "Is there something you need, Lily?" The young man asks softly, approaching the maid. He hardly even noticed that Wyle had been following her; he was used to seeing his brother in the kitchen. The boy did quite love good food. And Alice cooked good food... most of the time.

John looked at Wyle blankly. He took the box still looking a little lost and thought to himself, I don't have a girl friend... what does this little turd mean? John open the box and it was filled with food, John chuckled and noticed what Wyle was saying. "Hey! Don't say such a rude thing! Alice wouldn't want a ruffian like me... Oh wait, nevermind, your too young to understand," he said sarcastically. "Tell Alice I said thanks!" he told Wyle nicely, then he sat on the stairway in front of the entrance and began to chow down on the food.

Wyle smiled, hopping back to the kitchen. He went straight to Joel, but was interupted by Alice plopping a cake in his hands.
"Oh, thanks Al-"
"Room 204." She told him.
Wyle pouted, heading off to deliver the cake.

Kira sighed, hiding her third notebook page in her bag. she was waiting to get away from the front desk ,and go do something else. she sighed again and started to sketch on her fourth piece of paper.

Lily whipped around when she heard Joel's voice. He had startled her and she pressed a delicate hand to her chest. She could feel her heart racing a thousand miles an hour and she smiled sheepishly at him.
"You scared me....I didn't think there was anyone here." Lily smiled, blushing slightly.
"I just came to see if there was anything that Alice didn't need and that I could maybe take to go.....I still have to finish cleaning some of the rooms and I'm starving." She laughed lightly.

Joel gave Lily a confused little smile. "No one here? I am afraid nothing here cooks itself. But I am sorry I startled you. John and Wyle were here, so of course Alice made plenty of food. Enough for a large army or small country. Please, help yourself." He gestures toward the remainder of Alice's earlier culinary efforts.

Lily shot a smile towards Joel as she moved around the kitchen. She ended up grabbing a small piece of bread and nibbled at one edge.
"I know the food doesn't cook itself...I just thought that everyone was either asleep or....something else, and it's alright...at least you woke me up." Lily yawned and blushed afterwards.
"I really shouldn't have stayed up so late....." She laughed again and took a bite of the piece of bread.

Alice watched her sous chef and Lilly talk, her matchmaker instincts flaring up. How cute they looked! Oh the possibilities! She smiled to herself, dreaming of if the two dated. Hm... how sweet!
