What's a quest and how can I get one?
"Questing" is the term we use on Gaia as a shortened way to say, "I really, really, really,
really want this item!!!!! So, I'm going to save most of my gold until I have enough to get this item!!"
A quest is something that most of us complete on our own. There was talk some time ago about a Questing System that Gaia might introduce, but I haven't heard anything more about it. So, for now, most users have to do all the work themselves, in any way they choose. Some people post in charity threads or make their own "Quest Threads" or quest topics in the charity forum. Others may make banners to put in their signature so others know they are questing. Or you could dedicate your journal or extended profile page to tracking your progress.

really would like to have and start saving your gold for them! Then get creative!
