Zack stands and looks at his fellow class mates, grippping his bow-staff till his knuckles are white, takes a deep breath and advances toward the beast.
*He picks up his pace to a run... charging at the siren, he spins his bow-staff. When he is just about 3 feet from the monster, he slides under the dress of the siren and when behind her, gets up and swings the staff, landing a blow to the side of her head.
(first shot in 6 hours. Siren has now been hit Once)

Getting ready for another attack, Zack slowly moves into the shadows, just out of the firelight.
*Zack bursts out of the shadows with great speed, holding his bow staff out to the side, ready to swing.
As he nears the Siren, he swings with all his might.
The Siren drops, causing Zack to miss by a hair. As she is dropped to the floor, she slashes at Zack's torso. He howls in pain and drops to his knees. As the Siren backs away, Zack starts to crawl back to the others, sweat driping from his nose, eyes water, and hand to his torso with blood gushing out, he makes it back to the group, and sits up against the wall, holding his stomach. "A bit more than i bargained for, but oh well," whispers Zack.*
(Second shot in 6 hours. Sitting out for 12. Siren has been hit Once)

Ume is having her upper arm bandaged up in the corner. "Just a scratch...really..." She grimaces.
[[yeah...there will be two to fight soon...but at least the siren got hit once. Yay Zack! lol.]]

Jess, realizing that 12 hours is up, stands up, ready to try again.
As she runs towards the Siren, it makes another move, just like the first time, causing Jess to miss. But before the Siren can make another swipe at her back, Jess quickly moves out of the way

Standing stright up, Jess gets ready for another attack.
When the Siren wasnt looking, Jess took the chance and ran at the creature. The Siren was caught off guard and Jess was able to thrust her dagger into its back.
The Siren has been hit twice (2)

Happy that she got a hit at the Siren, Jess gets ready one more attack.
While the Siren was recovering from the last hit, Jess runs at the creature again. She successfully thrusts the dagger in to the Sirens back.
The Siren has been defeated.

TROLL!
Okay, here's where it gets tricky, everyone. Make sure you choose which monster you're aiming for before you roll and edit your post for roleplay. I don't want any 'I'll go for the siren...oops! I'd get hit...hmmm, I think I'll change that to the troll so I'm only out for six hours'.
I know you're all better than that. 3nodding Yes?

((And now you get the rare treat of seeing a Mod do battle...and very probably get squashed by a troll's tree-branch club. What? I'm a pessimist. Makes some things a little less disappointing.))

Alutian noticed the Troll entering the Great Hall and shouted out the alarm...fat lot of good that'll do, with the Siren still causing general carnage and mayhem, she thought, seizing her twin swords and dashing forward.
From a distance, these mutant troll things were sorta ugly and faintly odorous. Up close and personal, they quite frankly reeked and their appearance could've made a thestral faintly nauseous.
The Ravenclaw Head ducked under a club swing to get in close enough for her blades to hit the monster. Holding her breath as best she was able, Alutian swung both swords across to the left, one following the other.
The first blade scratched the beast's side. The second one laid the scratch further open.
The Troll roared in pain, raising its club once again in anger. The branch came down on the floor with a thunderous sound, but Alutian had already spun and back-pedaled her way to (relative) safety.
That was fun.
((What do you know - I didn't get squished!

Jess watches as Alutian gets a hit at the troll. While the troll is screaming in pain, Jess takes the chance to try and get another hit.
Jess runs forward and finds an opening. She jabs her dagger into the Troll's heart. An instant kill
The Troll is defeated.
