Tabor laughed a bit, "I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it..." he made his way over slowly, placing his injured paw on her shoulder. He didn't like to see her cry, it made him feel bad. Just my luck... he thought, frowning. He really wanted Julia to be his friend. He didn't have many friends...And it seemed like she could use one too.

Julia flinched when he placed his paw on her shoulder. But then, she relaxed. His paw was warm and comforting. And it felt nice. It felt good to have contact with another namir. And really, she wanted so bad to have a friend. Julia looked up and met his eyes. She sniffled a bit and then smiled. "I'm sorry, this is so stupid of me. For crying like this." She took one of her paws and wiped her eyes. "You know...I...I like you too Tabor. I mean, you're very kind. Thank you...thank you...for being my friend."

Tabor smiled, taking his paw back as she looked at him. He was glad, feeling he'd made a bit of difference. It was that same feeling he got when he helped the one's he'd hurt before. No. It was maybe a little stronger, much stronger. "You're welcome Julia. And thank you...for being mine," he replied, still smiling. He hadn't felt this happy inside since he was younger, and he was glad it was still possible for him to feel so.

Julia sighed. It was a sigh of relief. Tabor had seen a bit of her weakness, and yet he hadn't turned away from her. She felt better, to finally have a friend, and to feel like she could be herself around someone. She felt she could relate to Tabor, like maybe he understood how she felt about things. She hoped she wouldn't regret letting her guard down.
She had stopped crying, and she was smiling now. A real, genuine smile. "You're welcome too, Tabor." She was then quite. She looked around, and then back at his face. She couldn't take her eyes away from him for too long she found. She didn't know what to say, she had never talked to anyone for this long before.

Tabor smiled back, glad to see she'd stopped crying. He looked up then, the trees blocking the sky and making it difficult to tell what time of day it was. He knew he'd have to be back home eventually, as he had responsibilities he had to take care of. What he wasn't sure of was if he could get home on three legs. "Any idea what time it is?" he asked, casually. He figured if it was late he'd walk Julia home then head on to his own. If not he figured they could stay and talk for a little. About what he wasn't sure, but he'd figure that out.

Julia looked up at the sky, but also realized that she couldn't tell anything from looking at it. There were too many trees. She guessed it was probably a few hours passed noon, but she really wasn't sure. She looked back at him and shrugged her shoulders. "Hm, three? Maybe? I don't know. If we walked out of the forest, we might be able to see the sky." She then remembered his paw. "Oh...but...your paw. Can you...walk?"
((I'm debating something happening to Julia...you know, cuz of Tabor's bad luck, but I can't think of anything. Maybe something will happen when they start walking. Have any ideas?))

((Hmm....Well you could go with the rain cliche....Or something simple. I've been brain dead lately....))
Tabor nodded, "Well not walk necessarily. But I'm sure I can manage." He assured with a smile. It hurt really bad; sore from trying to use it earlier. However, he was going to have to go sooner or later, so better they leave then and find out what time it was.

"Ok...well, if there's anything I can do...just...let me know." She wasn't sure what there was she could do to help, but she thought it seemed like a good thing to say. She smiled and started walking forward, slowly, just in case. She didn't know how badly he had been hurt. They weren't that far from the clearing, where the trees didn't seem to cover the sky. She had taken a few steps, and she looked over her shoulder to see if Tabor was following, and to see how well. When she took her eyes off of her path, she stepped wrong and ended up twisting her paw. She stumbled and winced at the pain. It hadn't been damaged that badly, but it still hurt. "Aw, bloody hell..." she muttered when she fell. She lied there for a moment and then stood up somewhat unwillingly. She too would have a limp now.

Tabor nodded, not sure what she could do, but sure she'd find something. He followed her, glad for the slow pace. He was tryign to stay off it, walking with just the three available legs making him slower and off balance. He'd stopped walking for a moment to look back up at the sky, but it was covered with trees. By the time he'd turned back to watch the path, he watched Julia standing back up. His ears twitched, hearing her mutter. "What happened?" he asked concerned.

Julia sighed. He must not have seen her fall, and there was no reason to announce her clumsiness to him. Especially since her clumsiness had been due to the fact that she had been trying to look at him. "Uhm, nothing. It's just...my paw. I must have gotten a cramp or something," she lied. She tried to walk, wincing from the pain, but continuing on anyway. She was walking beside Tabor now, their pace somewhat similar, due to the fact they both had to walk on three legs now.

Tabor frowned, not quite believing her, but he wasn't going to continue a conversation like that. He walked with her quietly, that little voice in the back of his head nagging at and blaming him for it all. The more he tried to push it away the more it came back to bother him. He shook his head as the went, trying to make it stop bothering him.

Julia couldn't help but notice that something was bothering Tabor. Something other than his hurt paw. He wasn't talking to her anymore, and he didn't look happy at all. Had she done something to upset him, she wondered. She tried to ignore it at first, but the frown he carried wasn't going away, and him shaking his head wasn't helping her forget about it either. Finally she stopped and stared at him. "What is wrong with you?" she finally asked him.

Tabor took a deep breath. He didn't know what to tell her. He wanted to hit himself for making it noticeable that he was thinking about his luck. "Well...." he started, flustered at how he had no idea what to say, "You know that voice in your head you get when you know your doing something wrong...Ones conscience?" he paused finally looking at her. His face had a sort of guilt look, "Well it's been nagging at me...I can't help but feel like your paw was my fault..." he folded is ears down in guilt, "I'm sorry."

She stared at him in disbelief. "Don't apologize!" she snapped. "It's not your fault! I was just looking over my shoulder, and I stepped wrong." She sighed and shook her head, "I'm sorry...it's just...I don't really care if it's your fault or not...what I mean is, it doesn't matter to me. You're bad luck...I mean...I'm not gonna stay away from you or anything," she stuttered a little. "But if you want to stay away from me...then go ahead." She hung her head a little, but quickly snapped it back up to stare at him as she added, "But don't feel guilty about it!"

Tabor was startled by her response. He didn't know what to say or how to feel about this. She was serious. "I know I shouldn't....It's just....I never wanted to hurt anyone. And I've hurt people. I can't help but feel bad about it all...." he looked down at the ground for a second, lost. He looked back at her with a smile, taking a step closer, "But I think it would hurt both of us more if I tried to keep away....And...A-and if you really don't care then I'll try harder to try and let go of my guilt..." he paused then looked away again, "If you're willing to help me let go..."
