Hmmm... In a heartbreak situation like this, there's not much I can really say... if there's nothing you can do, just try not to worry about it.
Just don't start hurting yourself over this. He says he's gay. It's not your fault. He's probably heartbroken about this, too. I've been in a spot similar to his, and I was heartbroken, but determined not to show it.

Dark Eagle Babe Ahelos *Big bear hug* I don't know what to say, but just hang in there. It was hard for me when i found out my best friend was gay, i was about to tell him i loved him. It does hurt, but you have your friends about you to keep you up. Wow that must have been painful.. Well, heh.. I'd say at least you weren't together yet.. Martin and I have been for 5 months.. sweatdrop thats a quite a while. you will sort something out
