Personally, I don't care what they show, the only problem is my mom, who is annoyingly old-fashioned about that kind of thing (which isn't that bad, except that she almost made me turn the show off when she saw it.)

If you're talking about the incident at The Talon after Clark beat up Lex, they didn't show anything and I doubt they ever will. What they really did was imply it. They showed them kissing and Lana unbuttoning Clark's shirt, then the 2 of them making out on the floor, things that would make it obvious that they were gonna have sex. But then they ended the episode and didn't actually show anything that would go above a PG-13 rating at highest. I think the episode where he started doing things with the cheerleader at the pool party as a diversion so Lana could steal the love potion out of her purse was worse than this.

I think it's sad how young kids are learning things these days. There are probably some out there younger than me that know more than I do! I am a 9th grader, and I know there are like, 7th graders that have probably already done it and I, being 2 years older than them, haven't. I plan to wait until marriage, but it's sad that some people this young can't. It's like Chloe said, most people regret it after they do it before marriage. I can't believe there is the possibility that kids don't consider this.

well i think we clarified that already. THats for the Late input. But you should reread all the posts. But Yeah. In the commercials it seemed they were acting up the idea of it.

my mom is usually there when i'm watching and when people start making out, etc... i'm afraid my mom will make me stop watching the show. sweatdrop all i can say is it's about time for this to happen, but it would have been better after marriage. but clana will never get married crying it's really bad though how society keeps throwing this type of stuff on kids and teens. i mean they keep hurling this at us everywhere!!!

I always think its uncomfortable to watch "make-out" or "sexual" scenes when i know my parents are going to walk in at any moment
PostPosted: Sun Jul 30, 2006 6:44 pm

oh, me too! my parents watch smallville too, but normally not with me b/c i'm away at college for most of the season. actually, i think the Clana sex scene wasn't all that bad compared to the "wedding night that wasn't" with Alicia. but, compared to some other shows, smallville shows a very little amount of sexual stuff. I mean, Buffy is one of my favorite shows, and there are a lot of scenes, way more than Smallville, i would feel very uncomfortable watching with my parents nearby (especially scenes from the later seasons). but yeah, it is kinda sad that almost all shows have to eventually include that sexual element in them.

Well my mom watches Smallville with me and its pretty unfortable watching the sex scenes with my mom. the other day i was watching hostel and thought it was a slice and dice movie only. Boy was i wrong. It was about 3 boys traveling the world looking for sex. jeez most of the girls in the movie were topless with no shirt or bra. I wonder when topless girls became R cause ive been seeing it more and more in movies. And compared to other shows Smallville doesnt have that much sex.

Well Topless girls is consiered R because there isn't any graphic sexuality. Directors assume that the people who are watching an R movie have some sort of maturity Level that is above toy trucks. Just because there are no shirts, sadly doesn't mean it has to be rated X. Now a days, i guess we have either "loosend" up or have been corrupted. Television shows used to be a lot more conservative. LIke the parents in Leave it to Beaver not even sleeping in th same bed! But now television shows are able to do what movies used to and can befairly suggestive and provacative at times. sometimes i actually find it disturbing at times when i can't sleep and ill be flipping through channels and go by a lot of... weird...things
