Boot to the head?
Maybe.
Colin, opening his eyes after getting knocked back, saw a foot hovering above his face and, doing the only thing he knew to do, put his right arm in front of his face and turned his head to the right, tucking it into his shoulder, hoping to reduce the damage.
Oh, and he'd swing his left leg up and, hopefully into the crotch/lower back of Laz to screw up his stompin' stance. Mybe, if he was lucky, knock the f**ker over.

The stomp was blocked, and he paid for it with a kick to lower back. He could've stood there and taken it, if he wasn't pushed forward so much that his left leg moved and irritated what was actually a small soreness, but one that was notable enough. Also, he was like... in post-stomp, with his foot probably kinda in air, so he didn't have an awesome base anyway.
Getting down to the ground, unlikely. Stumbling hard forward with a good bit of pain in his back overriding that of his leg, he took his time in jogging away and turning around. Kinda like... 'you got me sucka... alright, ya got me there, that was nice.' Lazenca didn't expect Colin to return this one, this allowance to get up.
Standing some seven feet away, Lazenca started shaking out his body, picking up his legs and kinda bending over to stretch. It'd take as long as fifteen seconds, if Colin didn't get up and rush for payback.

Finally! About d**n time that sonofab***h backed off. Once the man was away from his area, Colin would get to his feet as fast as possible. His right arm sad a small bruise forming where Laz had just stomped it, but it wasn't hurting too much. Rotating his left shoulder to loosen it up a bit, Colin would grunt, turning to face the man as he did so.
His back was to Colin, and he was bent over. That was just begging for a rush, and Colin would have to oblige, though he knew some kind of retaliation as at hand.
Taking the few quick steps needed to close the gap, Colin would finally free his kamagong stick and, with a swift downward sweep, aim to crack the bar parallel to Laz's spin along the bones themselves.
His stomach was tensed as he did this, ready for a kick of some sort.

To kick Lazenca in his back... to push him forward... for Lazenca to be pushed forward... 'turning around' meant that he was turning to face Colin. Facing Colin, along with the fact that he was giving Colin time but watching out (it'd take as long as fifteen sections, if Colin didn't get up and rush for payback)... meant that he was was getting attacked while facing and waiting.
And despite all this, the hit landed since knowing about something doesn't equal the ability to stop it. However, the hit was somewhere on his upper back, between the shoulders and not the back of his head, which would be the most logical aiming place since it was sticking out closest to Colin with the correction of how things were happening.
So I says to Mabel, I says...
"'Hraaah!' Because that stick... hurt. A lot. A lot more than a stick should have. But it was alright enough because I was already leaping forward at him. I didn't have my arms out for a perfect football tackle, since it looked like I was stretching (and I was, but still). I could've put my arms out and slammed him, but I had my legs parallel, so it's not like I was able to do a textbook tackle. Now that I think about it, I basically threw my body at him like a torpedo. But you know that drill where you pop your arm up to hit the football bag? I did that to take the wind out of him. I figured that, and my big body like that, I was gonna knock him down with him under me. While he's getting his breath, I can like... think on how badly my shoulderblades hurt.
"Whatchu mean, what'd I do next? I put my arms up, of course. I was kinda pain-stunned out of attacking, but at least I could defend myself if he started swinging his stick around. What else could he do? I kinda had to quickly put my legs on either side of him, just to make sure he didn't throw me off easily. Other than that and protecting my face and chest as best as I could.. there it was.
"So, do you have any more of that mango ice cream left, Mabel? I tell you what, that stuff's the bees' knees."

So, he'd been facing Laz. A mistake on the author's part, but a hit was still a hit. Though, the flying leap was a bit of a surprise. Dropping the kamagong stick, Colin would, or at least try, to grab Laz's right elbow with his left arm, considering the man was coming at his looking for a hug. As he got closer, Colin would reach inside the man's left arm with his right and try to grab the shoulder, a very difficult move at this range. And, when it looked like it was too late to do anything, Colin would fall. Yes, fall. And backwards he would fall, his right leg rising, planting itself into Laz's lower abdomen, and, once Colin had hit ground, pushed up. An attempt at a Tomoe Nage, as viewed below, if there ever was one. Now, If Colin was completely, or at least mostly, effective, Laz would be sent up and over, landing somewhere away from Colin, and the Ex-KH member would roll over, scramble to his feet, and jump the distance between the two to try and give Laz a little face stomping of his own. If it worked. If the grabs worked, and the foot was placed, but no throw, Colin would shift from the attempted Tomoe Nage to a Juji Gatame and pull on the arm as hard as possible. This would e possible by Colin hooking his free left leg around the outside of Laz's right arm, rolling to the left as Laz's weight is shifted that way, release his shoulder, and straighten out his body, clamping his knees tightly around Laz's upper arm. Maybe a broken appendage would slow him down. The final position would appear similar to the picture featured below, only upside down, and both feet underneath the far arm. A better reference would have been offered, but the author can't find one not on youtube, and is clueless when it comes to .gif making. If only the grabs worked, and the foot missed, then Colin would pull Laz in close and aim a series of headbutts at his face, hoping for a bloody and possibly broken nose. If it all failed, Colin would still fall back, Laz on top of him, and his arms, which would be pinned at the biceps if the author assumed correctly, would reach up with his right hand and pull Laz's knife free, and then promptly try to plunge it into flesh. Again, and again, and again. Choices, choices, choices......

Oh, a (toss distance) Fwd + K throw... that's what those are called? At least he just got thrown on his back like the Japanese dude does, rather than rolled around like the American. With this grating, that would've sucked. And since he was doing amazingly little to regulate his body in midair and just hoping for the best and was hurting from that hit, he would've been Ryu-tossed nice and easy. Really easy. His back scraped the grating, the first time hitting it without purpose.
Hurts so good.
He was pushing to his own feet with his right arm when Colin came in for the cleanup stomps. A couple good stomps knocked him back down, having him hunched over with his legs under him. Unlike the last time, this was a much better pouncing position. So after about one or two more stomps, Laz propelled his body up at Colin... again. But this time, it was notably more controlled, and much stronger. He aimed that pounce for a time when Colin's leg wasn't in contact, when it was in the air, so he could kinda throw his arm around the leg, which would be put on Laz's shoulder.
In a perfect world, this would be followed through with Colin almost flipping over himself via Laz's pounce and whatever imbalance there may be. The man would land on the back of his head, while his body folded up under Laz's body.
And while Colin would be dealing with suddenly being upturned, being so close would allow Lazenca to deliver right hooks with ease. Count a couple, before waiting to see what Colin responded with.

So, the toss was a go, as was some stompage. Good hits on Colin's part, yet he hadn't been ready for a leap into his body. Yes, Colin was knocked off balance, and the few hooks that landed into his sides were nice. Clean, with some power behind them. Already, a little bruising would start to show.
However, in response, Colin would turn his upper torso as much to the right as he could, in the process pushing against Laz's head with the shouldered leg. Right arm would raise up, bent at the elbow, ready to absorb most of the shock from the landing on grating, right leg rising to place itself into Laz's lower abdomen/upper thigh.
Three, two, one, contact.
Oof!
Colin would grunt as he hit metal, his arm giving under the weight. His arm was slightly numb, blood beginning to run from the small cuts caused by the force of impact and the small amount of sliding. His body lay tilted, stomach angled towards the floor. If Colin was lucky, the force from his leg would have pushed Laz's head into the floor. If not, then some strain might have been applied from the jolt upon impact.
A stiff neck is at least something.
The shouldered leg would wrap around Laz's back and neck to hold him in place as Colin curled his body, almost into a fetal position, grab Laz's hair once more, and lift it off of the ground, where he'd proceed to turn it towards him and slam his free hand's palm into the man's nose until the thing was pulp.

"Hngh..."
He landed facedown, the turn a bit sudden but felt. He knew less that Colin was trying to mash his face into the floor, and more that he wasn't in the perfect postion he would've wanted. But it'd have to be handled with the first thing he thought to do, the quickest defense he could mount. That defense had him stop short of dull impact... he hit that ground, his head and the ground met, but it wasn't going to stun him too long.
But was it still long enough? Colin was already moving, going to twist around Laz. Well... though Laz is a bit more on the right, his hand is still there. Opting out of right hooks, Laz instead put his hand in Colin's way. Kinda like the stealing step, but he'd actually be able to palm the guy's face... if nothing, scrunch up his cheeks or something.
Clatter... sliiiide
That wouldn't stop Colin from palming Lazenca's nose, not at all. But it'd stop him from seeing when Lazenca picked up that stick and started beating Colin upside the head with it. So even if Laz's nose started bleeding and he would be sneezing all through the 2-hour downtime or whatever it is, Colin would be nursing a concussion while someone tried to convince him he wasn't Batman.
Now, one would wonder how the hell Lazenca was beating Colin upside the head, with his hand in the guy's face. Well, it was with that left hand, the same one attached to the arm that had grating lines in it (showing that it was that which kept his head from bouncing off the ground), because despite it hanging limply throughout the whole fight, it was perfectly fine.

Another hand in his face. Well, that wouldn't stop him. One palm, two palm, thre....
Colin's head snapped to the side, The first blow catching him full on the side of his head. The right side of his vision went white with pain as he froze, unsure as to what had just happened. Another hit, and he'd snap back, the pain bringing him back into consciousness. Well, he had to stop that arm from doing that again. Colin would bite Laz's palm and twist his head to the left, hopefully tearing the man's flesh a good deal and removing the obstruction from his face.
THWACK
Another hit, another flash. His head was throbbing horribly, blood running from his split cheek. As Laz pulled his arm back, Colin's would have already been back in the pre-palm position. Turning his sight back to Laz's head, Colin would shift from a palm to an index-and-middle finger point and, with as much speed and power as he could give without messing up his aim, attempt to slam the two digits into Laz's right eye, more towards the tear duct.
Now, if the strike had hit, Colin would curl his fingers inside the socket and hook them around the man's skull to hold it in place while he rolled back to the left while Laz was in mid-swing, forcing the arm to miss the attack, his fist hitting Colin's right pec, the stick clipping his upper shoulder and a small portion of his clavicle. He'd wrap his right arm around Laz's left holding it in place. Colin would then plant his thumb left thumb under Laz's jaw and, with a twist, lift the man's head so he could proceed to slam it into the ground as many times as possible.
If the poke had failed, Colin would instead still wrap his right arm around Laz's left and, with his own unoccupied left, grab the stick and push it forward and to the right, which would be backwards and to the left to Laz, trying to rip the thing from the man's grip.
Guys needed to stop trying to touch his wood. It was getting really old.

Ah, his nose. The blood trickled freely, the urge to sneeze lost and replaced with ... just... pressure and pain. It wasn't a closed fist, but the bone there felt all jammed, the cartilage was sore (could it break)... something happened in the works, and Colin's hand came back red. And so did Lazenca's, for a completely different reason. At the ripping away, Lazenca growled and moved his hand back, curling it in pain. While kinda looking at it though peripheral vision, also stopping the strikes. You just don't get bitten for the first second time ever, and it doesn't effect you when you're the kinda person Lazenca was. Well, that's what it felt like to be bitten. That last time, his limb just hurt for the rest of the day.
The poke to the eyes shoved Lazenca's hand in his face, which saved his eyes, but still pissed his nose off enough for it to scream its pain and show its dislike for the goings-ons by still bleeding, from both nostrils now.
In the end, Colin was able to take, after a bit of effort, his stick back. Of course, the effort came in Lazenca tensing as he always did, and then doing so again when he realized Colin was fighting for his stick. But it'd cost Colin control of his right arm, since wrapping meant entangling and with the whole arm wrapped as Lazenca was tensing... well.. whatever, both of them lost a limb, so to speak.
Colin was crossed over himself for that stick. Laz kept his head low the whole time, keeping them close... 'cause in the end, that's all that mattered. He come so far to fall, to lose it all... 'cause in the end, this is all that really mattered.
The whole time, Laz had landed on his knees since Colin twisted that bit. It took no effort to push forward, closing the distance Colin's hand had been traveling to deliver those palm slams. His face would suddenly pop up over Colin's as he chopped his feet forward, and Colin would finally feel his body start folding over on itself, something that should've been happening before but was thwarted. And it was done in a speed that should trap Colin's stick-wielding arm between the two men's chests, or at least throw it up over his head if he was pulling it out. But then again... with zero distance between them, he was inside the stick's most effective range.
As he was pushing up, Lazenca had thrown his hand down to his waist to draw his knife, and had his arm snaked back around Colin's leg (put back over Laz's shoulder in the moving up), point at the guy's throat.
Nose bleeding, face smeared with his own blood, he managed to still look tired as he stared Colin in his eyes. Back in the day, he would've vocalized the warning that now's the time Colin should drop his weapon, 'cause attacking or moving would force Lazenca to drive the point up through the skin and whatever vital obstructions there may be... why worry about blunt strikes when you're busy filleting?
But he'd gotten stabbed in the side last time he gave that choice so openly. So... hopefully Colin could see the gravity of the situation, because truth be told this fighter was alright, but he wasn't gonna let such a thing get in the way. Gotta know when to throw it in.
Anyway... he had about half a second to say something along the lines of "I give up" before Lazenca made the decision for him.

His face would suddenly pop up over Colin's as he chopped his feet forward, and Colin would finally feel his body start folding over on itself, something that should've been happening before but was thwarted. Not quite. Remember that left leg? The one in Laz's gut? Well, guess what. Consider it extended. Laz decided to come up, pushing forward to bend Colin so, in return, Colin, his shoulders pressing against the grating for support, would push back and up, releasing Laz's left arm as he did so. Colin's own left leg would scoot towards it respective side as they pushed, falling away from the tangle. And, in a second, Colin would be gone. His right leg collapsing, back lowering, legs folding into his chest, Colin would tuck left arm close to his body, push off of the ground with his right, tap L twice, and barrel roll away from that f**ker. And he'd roll for a few feet before pushing himself to his knees, kneeling like an Arthurian knight, one knee on the ground, one foot beside it. His face was as bloody as Laz's, the right side beginning to swell a bit around the cheekbone. These two had had one hell of a fight, and whichever passed on to the next round would deserve it. Still, Colin wasn't walking out of here without having fought to his fullest. Arms hanging loosely by his sides, Colin would stand shortly, assuming Laz hadn't already come for him again.

"stop hitting yourself" + hand bitearm entanglement + stick steal + move up the body + knife draw
maintain arm trap + threat Taking his arm back hinged on the idea that Lazenca would let him, and Lazenca wasn't untensing that arm, wasn't making it at all easy for Colin to unwrap his arm... 'cause as already stated, wrapping implied some sort of entanglement. Now, two sweaty, bloody guys... Colin could slip out eventually, when he realized Lazenca was holding him. Eventually. Not at this very second 'cause at this very second, Lazenca was exerting his will on the arm.
That said, NONE OF THAT mattered because Lazenca had forgotten about that leg between them. It was a very, very stupid to forget, but he'd been so focused on his nose that everything seemed to slow down as Lazenca pushed against the leg and was given no purchase as it forced him back with a surprising suddenness. His hold on Colin's arm... here is where it nearly failed, thanks to Colin's maneuver. But being the great guy he is feeling Colin letting him go, his arm opened up and Colin seemed free... until fingers dragged from the forearm to the wrist and clamped, yanking Colin slightly. He made for a bad crutch here, because while being pushed up wouldn't make him fall to the ground, accepting the fact that Colin was like deadweight and getting yanked as tension grew (or whateverrrr)... made him stumble forward.
So basically, he was pushed off, but grabbed hold of the wrist... AGAIN. The same yank that should've forced Colin around a few degrees was the same that had Lazenca soon finding the ground. What luck, he had Colin to break his fall.
From the urgency of the push, the resulting yank should've been enough to pull Colin anywhere from 15-45 degrees, depending on arbitrary factors Laz hadn't any control over, like Colin's own resistance. Any number of degrees that moved the bothersome right leg to the side was appreciated, since it meant that this time when Lazenca fell a bit heavily, still with his knife drawn and subsequently plunging into the man's gut, he wouldn't have to deal with the leg much, past sliding against it on the way back down. The new wrist hold would be mashed between them.

The new wrist hold would be mashed between them. RedPyramidThing His right leg collapsing, back lowering, legs folding into his chest... Well, unless Laz could ghost through legs, his knife would be plunging into fleshy thigh at best. Yes, the wrist was caught and, yes, Colin was yanked a few degrees or so, but that wouldn't stop his legs from folding back into his chest where Laz, unaware of their presence, would be more than happy to become Mr. Stabby. So, because of his ignorance of the final positioning of Colin's leg, the premature penetration should be very unexpected and, if the shock was great enough, cause the man to loosen the grip on his knife. This would also be perpetuated by Laz's actual point of knife insertion. Try Colin's tibia. Very hard, and very close to the skin. A small stab, the force of impact on his bone would still be a very painful ordeal, but the slant of the bone would, effectively, knock the blade inwards, between the two thighs, and quickly be trapped by a small shift of Colin's legs. Assuming the knife struck Colin's right leg, they two appendages would act as convergent tectonic plates, the left rising over the right, forcing the knife to turn at an awkward angle and making it difficult to withdraw. If the stab hit the left leg, it would be the opposite. Right over left, still creating a somewhat odd angle. All of this was, of course, situational. Laz was determined to stab the hell out of Colin, and he wasn't s keen on that. Now, remember that left arm? You know, the one with the stick? Well, Colin was about to swing the thing at Laz's wrist. You know, the one with the knife? Well, Colin would swing and keep swinging as long as he was hitting the thing. Really, a knife was much more important than, well, say a fist. And so, the struggle would resume once more.

He could totally ghost thr-- eh, nevermind, he couldn't. And factors such as that positioning, scissoring legs, and mounting fatigue meant that Lazenca was soon to lose hold of the knife after slicing down... he'd keep enough of a grip for that. Falling as he was, he could've hit a rib or... anything, and be jammed. Wouldn't do good to get shocked out of holding the knife in that circumstance. Though, the surprise factor was there because landing incorrectly was never good in a fight.
Getting hit with that stick helped him none at all. He would've been able to stand another hit or two perhaps, but the fact that the other side of the hand had a chunk of skin and was getting sweated into and despite Laz's best efforts (holding the weapon rather high in the grip which threatened his hold on it anyway)... if pulling it out was going to be a nusciance, then he'd twist and pull his arm as much as he could, trying to get the knuckle guard where his wrist used to be, and give him a precious second or two to think. Make Colin readjust his strikes, while slowly increasing damage to wherever the knife ended up resting since he couldn't pull it out easily and was basically just wiggling it around.
He expected a hit to the head, and was keeping his eyes on Colin's hand just to see when that'd happen.
