Koorie smiled and slipped out of the river once they were on sandy beach. "It's calm here....." She looked to Flame, then raised herself up and kissed him. "As long as you're by my side, I will have nothing more that I need to ask for."
She looked around the beach, then back up to Flame. "Where would you like to go from here?"

Flame nuzzled her and kissed her back. "And the same for me, Love."
He looked around. The sand was white and smooth. It felt odd under his rough paws, but he couldn't say he didn't like it. There were several small islands not too far away, but nothing on them but a few trees here and there. There was a lighthouse off in the distance, on an island with rocks jutting out all around. They must connect back to the land somewhere, he thought, wondering how the lighthouse got there. He then looked to the left, and then to the right.
On the left there were there was nothing but sand and water. Out that way the islands continued, only getting smaller. He took a deep breath and looked to the right. The islands continued, except they were getting bigger. The sand started fading, and he could see rocks covering the shore. They kept getting bigger as far as he could see. Big, silvery rocks. Like granite. He wondered what else was over there. The dryness of the sand and rocks against the water was somehow comforting to Flame. Despite the wetness of the Ocean, the shore and the rocks lived peacefully beside it.
He stared out to the right and then back at Koorie. "Do you want to go that way?" he asked her, tilting his head to the right.

Koorie was also eyeing the rocks, but with a more cautious look than the hope that Flame was seeing them as. Instead, she saw them as a distinctive danger; should the waves turn against her, she'd be bashed against those rocks and would more than likely be killed.
It was a risk she was willing to take for Flame's comfort; he was giving up so much for her and was going to be put through so many hardships due to her hard headedness and her tendency to be cold even to those close to her. She only could pray that those habits wouldn't lead to him leaving her; a fate worse than death in her mind.
"Yes, lets go looking over there..."

Flame looked to his right, hoping to find the best. He hoped there would be more than just rocks and dry land. He hoped for water too, probably for the first time in his life. He needed it. The tide was low, so there was plenty of walking room, and the sand continued on beside the rocks for awhile. However, the water on the other side was very close to the rocks, and the waves were crashing into them somewhat violently. He looked at Koorie and then lowered himself to the ground. "Climb on my back, I'll carry you down the beach. You're not swimming over there."

Koorie didn't like relying on others, and she disliked being told what to do even more. But, she had enough sense to know that it would be lethal to swim through those waters with the swift moving currents.
"Very well... but don't expect me to be so compliant every time." She smirked and softly kissed him before making herself comfortable on his back, her paws casually draped over his shoulders.

"Well, I can't stand the thought of anything happening to you. You know that." He walked carefully, his eyes searching. A little ways down, he could see the rocks turning back into sparkling sand, and the water looked bluer than ever. There were large islands, one jutting right out from the beach, like a peninsula. There was a huge gray cliff, towering in the sky. It encircled the whole peninsula. Flame had never seen anything like it. "Wow..." he breathed.
((Are we still gonna go with the cliff thing, with the valley and the spring/lake inside of it, with tunnels and rivers leading out of it?))

(If you'd like to, it's fully up to you; either way I'll be happy XP)
Koorie smiled a little and her tailed end gently wrapped around him. "I know, but I can take care of myself...." She looked ahead and a very soft gasp escaped her. The environment that lay before them was amazing. "This... could have potential...." She whispered softly.

Flame took another step forward, toward the peninsula. The water around it sparkled magnificently. "Yeah..." he agreed. "You could live in the lagoon, if you wanted, and the land around it is perfect for me...especially this cliff..." he said, looking up at it.

Koorie smiled and gently nuzzled his cheek. "I'm glad we found something so close to our likings this quickly. It worries me that it may be too easy though. We should keep our guards up for a while."

Flame agreed. "Yeah, we'll keep a look out. But anyway, we might as well explore this area, if we are going to consider it." He walked over to the beach in the lagoon and set her down on the sand close to the water. "You check out the water, I'll check out the land," he said grinning.

Koorie looked to the water breifely, then reached up and pulled Flame down into a tight embrace. "Very well, but you'd better be damn careful. I won't be happy if i have to haul my tail across this beach because of you." She placed a small kiss on his nose, then went to slip into the water, smirking.

Flame smiled and watched her slip into the water. "I will...and you too..." he said, knowing that she probably didn't hear him.
He then went to inspect the cliff. It was very steep, and didn't look easy to climb. He walked around the edge, trying to find a way that was good enough to climb, but then something else caught his attention. It was a cave. It appeared to wind deep inside of the cliff, and Flame decided to explore it. He didn't need a light, the fire on his back and tail lit up the whole passageway.
As he went a long, he noticed many other tunnels and passageways branching off from the one he was on, but he kept on going forward. Soon he heard the flow of water and noticed there was a stream coming in from the ocean outside. That was very strange he thought. Or maybe the stream was flowing to the Ocean. That would make more sense...but where was it coming from?
Eventually he came out of the tunnel, and found himself in a huge valley, covered in grass, with a huge lake in the middle. There was as stream flowing into one of the tunnels, probably the one he had heard, and it must flow to the Ocean. Another stream flowed from the other direction, and Flame didn't know where it led to. The valley was beautiful, and it was completely enclosed by the cliff on all sides. The cliff wall stopped at the top, not covering the center, and the Valley was filled with brilliant sunshine. There were many ledges and small overhangs. It was better than any mountain home he had ever seen, or lived on. He wondered what Koorie would think if she saw it.
His mind then wandered to the Ocean lagoon that Koorie was exploring, wondering if it was as beautiful as the Valley he had found.
((Sound good? A land access inside, and a water access. And Flame has access to the rest of the land, and Koorie does too with the stream, that probably flows back somewhere to another river, and eventually connecting back to the original lake that they started at. Or something like that. >.< What do you think?))

Koorie easily glided through the water, enjoying the gentle warmth of it. The lagoon was absolutely beautiful, there were so many different species of aquatic life that it put the pond she'd lived in before to shame. The lagoon held so much life in it that it almost seemed that it was a completely different world; and unfortunately it was one she'd never get to share with Flame.
That last thought hit her hard and she stopped swimming, hanging in the water in silence. Maybe Flame would be better off without her in the long run; he'd never be able to share things like these with her, and she wondered why he was so attracted to her in the first place. Was it a simple case of desiring what couldn't be touched; what wouldn't ever truly be? Quickly, she pushed the thoughts from her mind; she'd suffered enough mentally, there was no way that she'd be able to recover again knowing that the one source of peace and love that she had was going to be doomed.
She surfaced in time to see a small cave in the side of a cliff with a river emptying from it into the tide of the ocean. Curiously, she swam up through the cave's mouth, following the river. Seeing light up ahead, she exited the darkness of the cave into the very same valley that Flame had discovered. The area was amazing, and she looked around with wide eyes, judging up the sides of the cliffs that surrounded the area. She was completely unaware that Flame was withing the same vicinity.
(Sounds awesome! I figured one of the streams flowed through the cliffs in a cave to the ocean razz )

Flame was lost in thought, looking around the Valley, imagining a life here with Koorie. He wondered what their kids would be like, whether or not they could swim, or whether they would be hurt by water like he was. Maybe some of them would be great rock climbers, and great swimmers at the same time. Maybe some of them would prefer the dry land, while others would prefer the water. He smiled as he imagined it all.
He tried to picture what the water looked like from underneath. He couldn't imagine it to be as beautiful as the land, but he figured that's why he had Koorie, so she could tell him about things that he would never be able to experience himself.
He then decided it was time to find his way back out, so that he could tell Koorie what he had seen, and hear about what she had found too. As he turned around, he noticed something in the river, swimming towards the lake. He paused for a moment, and then realized it was Koorie. She must have come in through the caves, just as he did.
"Hey!" he called to her, running over to greet her.
