Ork-Dork Quads, totally. I always wanted to play quads since I was in 8th grade, and as a sophmore, I am now living the dream blaugh lucky... i wanted to play quads when i asked my instructor 8th grade year and he put me on tuba instead- oh well... now after playing sousaphone for 2 years im in love with it and dont ever want to switch again... my instructor might put me on baritone and i'll cry if he does. the only instrument i would ever switch to is percussion.

I'll say it was pretty hard to decide...I play the bass drum and it's pretty fun, but the snare drum is more versatile (sp?) and you can just go crazy on the quads.
But I think I voted for the snare. mrgreen

XxHorrayForHaleyXx I heart VIBASLAPS!!!! i luv the vibrasla cuz it makes the coolest noise...i named the one in our band room tai jr because its made in taiwan and its the newer one!! ^.^ Our Snare line marched with vibraslaps during our marching band show. It was so awesome! 6 of them were on the field other than that, my fav is the vibes

Well... I like the mallet instruments, but sometimes I like snare.
Me and my band buddies - stupid 7th graders heart - named every instrument for percussion that is in the band room.
Xylo 1 - Bob
Xylo 2 - Phill
Xylo 3 - Coca - it is such a pretty black! - and shiny and beautiful and new.
Bell 1 - Jeany
Bell 2 - Bailey
Marimba - Marty
Vibes - Velma
Bass - Charles
Snare - Crap-Tap - the head makes a bad tingy noise - we are getting new heads.
Timpani - Pooh characters - Eeyore, Pooh , Tigger Ect
Susp.Cymbal - K.O
Crash - no-name
and Aux things don't have names either.

I love the concussion instruments...
Snare, Bass, Quads... lol, we call them concussionists because they all play so crazily if they hit any harder they'd give each other concussions... xD
I've played the marching crash cymbals for two years now, I've played 16" Zildjian custom Z and this last marching season I played the 14" Zildjina custom A. I'm suuuper awesome at shining them up real nice too, and keeping them that way. I've got massive chops already from doing crazy visuals... The muscles in my hands are pretty mean too... xD One tough cymbal chick, I am, haha... I get to play the bass for this upcoming winter season, I'm pretty excited...
I've always loved the snare for a few reasons...
There's so much you can do with it, and it can be so musical! It's fun to play, watch, and listen to, and my boyfriend plays it too. dx
The bass is awesome. I'm a techno lover, and I just love the boomy sounds. When there's 4 or 5 basses out on the floor playing it just is so awesome.
And the quads... they're like mallets but bigger, funner, and way awesome!
I like the mallets because they're like tiny pianos with different sounds lol...
