Being spaniard means being european, It means pure blooded, or at least mixed with european blood (french, deutsch, italian...), while we mix up with native (tarahumara, apache, purepecha, lacandon), or even black (slaves) races. Some of us are white skinned though

I still like learning about my race and my culture but I don't see that as reason for me to degrade other races or think of their vibrant culture as inferior.

And since when Anglo-Saxons are "traditional European whites"? What about Slavs? There are more of us than Anglo-Saxons wink .

I agree with Hollow on this one. i thought hispanic was any non-brazilian from south/central america and latino was a term for all south/central americans including brazil. i thought they were both "correct," just depending upon how you apply them. @ pandas - heritage and race are two different things. i have celtic (specifically scotch-irish) and french heritage, but i belong to the white race. a person can have jamaican, kenyan, zimbabwean, ugandan, etc heritage...but s/he belongs to the black race. a person can be mexican, cuban, brazilian, or chilean heritage, but s/he is latino. heritage refers to customs and traditions and familial ties, while race is just... pointless?
