you might enjoy using soft pastel with baby powder when you draw your robots
they give it a nice glowing, iridescent quality which is perfect for lights and reflections :]

Just got back from holiday, and without the constant distraction of the internets I actually got a bit of drawing done. So here's a post-vacation art dump. First a bunch of sketches: And the paintings: Watercolour and pencil. Watercolour and pencil. Ink wash, gouache and acrylic.

METAPHOR FISTS Man, I love that you work with actual pen. Really. It's Pitt artist pens over the top of pencil sketches, I just erase the pencil afterward. biggrin @avoirdu: At the moment I am unemployed slacker scum, but am looking for work in the videogame industry as some kind of artmonkey. 3nodding

Big step for Zahir between 2005 and 2008. My favorite is the watercolored fortress. Is that your stronghold where you imprison all the Nazis? lol

My first impression was that most of your drawings were "squashed" and short and wide, but then in a moment I realized... I am on a widescreen-monitor set to a non-widescreen-resolution. I promise you, it's not mine.
I like the rough lines in your work most of the time. Sometimes, I wish they were smoother; mostly when dealing with human faces. I was thinking a study of facial anatomy could probably help, but then again, the non-facially-anatomical-ness is probably why you can do so many bizzare non-human faces.
I like the hooved eyebol. =3

Tohomito Your figures are all really short. o.o Some of the earlier stuff does kind of look like there isn't much between the ribcage and the hips.
