Zack looked at her concerned, and could tell she was worried. "Well, If you do get hurt... I'll make sure to heal you, but I'll do my best not to let that happen..." He smiled patting her shoulder lightly trying to comfort her.

She smiled at Zack and tried to calm down. "I'm not worried. I'm completely fine." She played her smile again trying to pass off as calm. "You've nothing to worry about. I'm a great fighter. I even know hand to hand martial arts too." Matsuya struck a pose standing on one leg with one in the air demosttrating a kick. She had very good balance and was quick on her feet. Though she had confidence in her martial arts, she lacked it in her swordsmanship.

"Well, At least I know you aren't too worried about it..." Zack smiled believing her only a little that she was okay. "I'm glad you know how to defend yourself..." He said laughing a little at her display of the kick, but could tell she was a little worried about something else.

"Yep. I'll just crush the enemy with my martial arts!" she jumped in the air pulling off a few combos of punches and kicks. She hoped that little display would be enough to wash away zack's worries about her. She landed lightly on her feet and smiled giving her an air of confidence. Her hope was that Zacl would notice and stop worrying. Deep down she knew her martial arts was not going to be enough to win. She needed to polish her sword play.

Zack smiled watching her next display of martial arts. "Well, You're pretty good... but I have a question... Are you that great with your sword too?" He asked wondering how well she'd do with a blade.

Matsuya froze at the one question she dreaded most. At the academy she barely passed her sword training classes. Her kidou was pretty good. She decided to try and blow his question off. "I'm good with Kidou." She smiled trying to dodge his question. "I passed the academy so I must be good with a sword."

Zack looked at her funny, but shrugged it off. "Well, I guess you're right... You would have to be good..." He smiled not really believing her completely. "I guess I'll just have to believe in her fighting skills... I can't exactly teach her right now..." He thought to himself as he smiled.

Matsuya pumped her fist in the air. "We'll win for sure! We're fighting hallows right? If it's normal hallows then I'm good!" "She thought she heard another shinigami say that something called Espada were coming. What are Espada anyway?"

"Yes, I'm pretty sure It's just hollows... at first..." Zack said a little worried that a higher ranked might show up. "There might be stronger foes later, but I don't think you'll have to worry if it's just one..." He smiled trying to reassure her.

Matsuya stared at him. "What do you mean stronger then a hollow....?" She tried to laugh off the question. At the academy they only said a shinigami battled hollows. They never said there were things that were stronger then hollow.

"Well, The hollows evolve and become stronger..." Zack said trying to explain to the new recruit. "And as they evolve... they get stronger... Which they use to determine ranks among them, and they have names for each rank..." He continued trying not to confuse her since he didn't have much info himself.

"I take it the Espada are the strongest of the hollow?" Matsuya shuddered abit put quickly laughed it off. I'll just have to beat one and show off my skills. "What skills do I have to show off? More like get myself killed." She thought to her self. Shrugging off the belittling thought, she tried to look unconcerned and resumed her act of faking confidence.

"Yes... they are, and I probably couldn't beat one alone..." Zack said trying not to worry her as he laughed a little. "Don't worry though... I doubt one will show up, but we'll probably fight alot of hollows..." He smiled believing that they wouldn't have to hard of a time.

"hahahaaa. Hollows I can deal with..." She lied, deciding not to tell the truth was better. She had a very strong fear of hollows. She always froze up when one approached. This was not the time or the place to mention that. "So when will this thing start?! I want to show off my skills. too bad we can't spar for fun." Matsuya laughed and smiled relaxing a bit.

"Hahaha! To be honest... I have no idea how long it'll be..." Zack said wondering that himself, and looked back to her. "If I knew how long we could spar..." He smiled to her wondering how strong she was.
